It’s difficult to make a slide carburettor work with a blower and automatic clutch gearbox.
Supercharged Nos Postie Bike Ep63 (from 3-1 to 4-1 pulley @tiolibikes8663
มุมมอง 837ปีที่แล้ว
3-1 ratio seems to be overdriving the blower and the power is to low and instant. Maybe 4-1 would be better the blower was made for 600cc so 1/4 of that is 150cc.

Have you still got the dt400
@@garryhills8648 no like most bikes I only have so much room. They all find there way out the garage at some time.
Colour matching milk crate with ocky strap - LEGEND
@@MASC440 form and function
This is crazy but I'd be so scared of a position going through my nuts 🤯
Back after a long while I see, this is still one awesome to see! Found the front end, CG125 disc front end are sadly well over $300-500 to get in the states.. The CG was never released here so their parts are basically unobtainable
@@Drayman1011 the CG apparently was released hear in the early 80s but from what I’ve seen they were drum. I had to import them to. You can make the calliper and master cylinder of a latter bike fit if you can find a disc hub and shock
"THE BEAST " ! DYNO DESTROYER !!
Very special piece of equipment!
There is so many questions I have about this bike, this is absolutely awesome! The front disk setup looks like it's almost factory
@@Drayman1011 The disc setup is supposed to look factory as in 1979 factory express post model. The whole lot is supposed to look factory just a little used.
@ the parts available for them in the US is a bit limited and someday I plan to go to either Japan or Australia to get some parts especially from the MD90 I have a 1971 CT90 so it’s a little bit different then the ones outside the states
@I am not sure where to find the parts here to convert the express wheel to disc
@ I think the early CT90 has front suspension like the Honda Cub at the time. I don’t know what year they changed over to forks.
@@tiolibikes8663They changed over the forks in 1969 with the CT90K1 My bike is a K3 and I put on heavy duty forks that are built by DRATV My old forks were beyond repair
Great explanation, thank you!
Thank you for this video! This is kind of what I’ve been trying to do but it’s been a headache. I stripped the hex screw pretty badly, now I gotta see what else I can do.
@@adrianb1655 Ooooo that’s going to be a problem. Maybe a big easyout at a last resort if you can stop it from spinning maybe drill the head off and deal with it when it’s apart glad it’s not how mine turned out.
@@tiolibikes8663 Well I took it to a buddy of mine and he got the screw out. Had to order two new screws to avoid having this issue any time soon.
I've tried it but wire I got just recoils out of the pipe
@@daveb1963 you have to guide it with a gloved hand doesn’t take much just stop it from whining out. Your wire could be to thin?
Thanks for showing the slight difference in the models 🤛🏻💨and Big Respect to All Australian’s from England 🏴 🇬🇧🙏🏻👍
A 150 is it? Am I seeing that correctly? What motor is that? I have an 83 ct110. Would that motor fit right in? I can't wait to hear from you. Oh, and where can I find that motor? Who makes it? Thanks mate.
It’s an odd lifen motor that I got direct from them pre covid days off alibaba. As far as I can tell it’s a 125 base with a 140 water jacketed barrel and 150 water cooled head not a combination you will ever see as the head barrel case side bolts won’t match up normally. One of the early episodes shows where I got it from and the details around it. Having learned what I have I could now do what I did with a 110 Honda motor if. Mine is a 1979 CT90 postie frame which is the same as the 110 just orange.
I watched another video where people loaded and AMR500 duper to a lifan engine. They took the drive from the hollow cam shaft and fitted a seal on the CDI cam chain cover. They had to slow the rotation to half camshaft speed for it to work..
Interesting can’t see it fitting together like mine does
Curious motor. I bought a Lifan 140cc. It is getting a 26mm throttle body, Kenada Racing manifold, 145cc fuel injector that enters the inlet port via six holes directly into the port. It will be fitted with a Jimny turbo charger, and all controlled using an Arduino prototyping board and Speeduino firmware. It is taking a bit of time as the frame is a 1969 Yamaha Trailmaster 100 which was a two stroke smoker. I will be naming it as YamaFan SnailTrail 140T EFI. Will be a cafe racer style build though.
Well you have your work cut out for you but that’s why we do it something new
Fail
Just what I was looking for. Thanks for posting.
I could be wrong but I think there maybe a hex hole on the inside or at least there are 17mm female hexs on the inside of my Yamaha SR500 forks I made a hex fitting by welding a 17mm nut and 17mm bolt together and that fits in this internal hex and with my 17mm fitting and a 17mm socket and extensions you can hold the internal part that the bottom bolt screws into from the top of the fork without it turning
Awesome like a pro
Cool man keep it up💪
i have an 02 kx125 with a motor that still rips as of now but is beat quite a bit. i can get a like new 100% rebuilt kdx200 motor for $1500 or i can get a rebuild kit for the 125 for $1000. the 125 motor needs a bit more than a rebuild though. it needs drilling and tapping on some stuff and who knows what else. im thinking its worth the extra $500 to just drop in a good to go kdx200 that is mostly plug and play. what do yall think about this decision?
Hi it’s been a while since I built it but it’s never just plug and play the swing arm needs matching and there are engine mounts that need relocating. I’d say it’s a project that will take a little time.
@@tiolibikes8663 thank you for the information. i dont think any of that will deter me. sounds like a fun project so long as im not essentially making a bike from scratch at that point.
There is a lot of information on how I built this bike hear forum.trials.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=7141&start=170#p33994
For tdr 125 this pump? Please tell me serial number on this repair kit
Sorry I don’t know the serial number it was to long ago
Put the end in that isnt frayed and pull it through!!!
Don’t know if you could it would be worth a try
Genius jaj
I have a 76ty25 fr 35 years it starts 1 st lick 5 over hauls I will own it until I die ,but gon they many other biks currently have a 2020 yz450fx love it to.
Wow clean wow
Nice meeting you at the Postie Nats.
I have a 99kx125/kdx220 hybrid. It's a great bike!
Very nice work! You get the lighter frame but it only saves 10-15lbs in the end and you give up the KDX's woods bike steering and the plushness at lower speeds. More of a higher speed/hare scrambles bike with a Rekluse now. How much did you get for it?
What do bad seals cause on these pumps I’m having over oiling issues on my bike and would that be the cause?
Bad seals would mean less pumping as it would leek or not pump as efficiently so I guess over oiling is a cable adjustment issue. The pump has a spot it’s set to for idle then after a bit ramps pumping up with the revs. If it’s set in the wrong place it could pump to much. Check your manual for where yo set your bike.
Mate thank you so much for this video. I was in a bad situation with a spinning bolt and this video literally just made it come out by compressing it. Thank you again 5 ⭐️
To each his own. Good job
Thanks for sharing this awesome build, it's been a great journey seeing how you overcome issues. A job well done
My pleasure thank you for your comments and watching
thats awesome , what a cool project i love it !! new suib here , well done
Your a legend Eric. Great project and well executed with the equipment and tools available! I saw you visited Hobart motorcycles on it. They put a post on Facebook featuring it.
Yes I took it to Honda as well apparently I have exceeded. Took it to Shannons and they insured it. The bike does what it did to me when I first thought of this idea Put a smile on your face
Great job! Seems to me it's going much better than std postie & doing it easily.
Thank you it does seem to go easily but that can be deceptive so your input is needed
Thank you . well done
Its a brave man , that carves and creates with a hacksaw...Milyard and Tioli.
Hopefully it will run fine, it's not easy pushing the envelope of postie technolgy!
LOL Postie tech
@@tiolibikes8663 🙂
Trial and error, im confident you will nail this look how far you have come
Thanks Simon your right trial and error
A manual clutch conversion might help. Triple carbie postie!
A manual would fix some of the problems but my beginning self imposed rules include auto clutch as posties are.
"Pulls like a diesel " thats a blower at work. just add a towbar and i have the trailer. lol the HeHe at the end made me smile. lol
The HeHe is I found what it can be but have to pull it back a bit but I know.
Maybe you should name your bike Donald Trump. Power without control is a dangerous thing 😂
Yes it will blow my economy
Hey Mate, from California, this has been super intriguing to watch. Looking forward to seeing you get this thing all worked out. I've seen one with a turbo on it and I think they used it to do a land speed record for a postie. Are you going to see what it can do in the quarter mile or top end speed?
@@HaywardFamilybuilding no I don’t think there will be any land speed records I think it should have a stronger base for that this is just a stock motor added to push it to far and it will snap. Modest gains with a usable bike is enough and enjoy the theatre.
Sounds like you have it running ok , the road test will be interesting
Ok ish
Great job getting it running, the fine tuning can be soooo frustrating and time consuming, awesome job
Thanks I think the fine tuning has some way to run yet.
appears to be running AOK at clip end. Excellent progress.
Not that good the slide is still a bit sticky but progress nonetheless
@@tiolibikes8663 The R & D Dept will soon sort that out . Am interested in the torque deivery over the standard engine.
You will have to wait
Very very good Mr Eric! Your attention to detail combined with your backyard engineering skills is impressive and captivating 😃
Getting to the pointy end now Master Engineer. . T minus ( ??) till ignition ?
Frankenstein,s monster is nearly alive. Great work
Love it man!! Heads up. For that blower to put anything out you are going to prob want to swap those pulleys. Normally a blower is over driven or at least 1-1
Thanks I figured something like 1-1 it’s made for 600cc Japanese K cars so the ratio is 1-3 which is still 200cc but let’s not quibble on the details.
Love you're comment, "I have no idea what I'm doing " well you have got this far, good job
Yes but my house of cards could all fall down anytime
