You need to make sure you are using Project>Intersect to get the points into your sketches then snap the loft rails to them.

gridfinity is not a wall mount system
He's probably thinking of multiboard and HWS
Yet people try to hang it on walls - makerworld.com/en/models/374849#profileId-274781 but yes multiboard and HWS are the more well known wall systems.
It's almost always better, cheaper, and immensely faster to buy something if it already exists. Printing something for my personal use that takes 700 hours would cost me $1400 in lost revenue. I would much rather spend $200 on something premade and readily available that I can assemble while my printers are making me money.
or you can buy a bunch of plastic/kydex sheets and print a jig to form them.
$1,400 damn, what the hell are you printing with? Gold Filament?
What product do you provide that is worth $200 per hour?
@ $1400 in 700 hours is $2/hr
You can put some grey tack on either side of the parts that are sliding to keep them in place.
Cool stuff bro. Happy New Year!
Thanks! Stay warm!
This is a fantastic idea of mixing 3D Printing + Slat Walls!
Thanks man! We are having Buffalo like weather in Houston today, not sure how you manage 😆
Yeah, no fishing for me today in Pearland! 😅
Woah! Cool seeing you in a small comment section, I love your vids they are so helpful!❤
Hey, @UncleJessy always looking for cool ideas 😂
@ Always stoked when I get an @UncleJessy comment!
Bambu just screwed everyone into using their cloud service. Stay away until they change the last update. They will lock down what you can do with the printer including what slicer you can use or if you can turn a feature on.
Yeah not really - blog.bambulab.com/updates-and-third-party-integration-with-bambu-connect/
@WMBayouLures That update is full of double talk. If you don't use their approved software your warranty is void. They talked to print farms and proposed 2 versions of software. Until they take back everything then I will not recommend them to anyone. I don't trust anyone that has to come out with a this isn't what it seems since you can still do what you want at the risk of your warranty going down the drain. This is a violation of USA antitrust laws as they are changing the terms of service after purchase.
We all have to make our own choices but an out of the box "just works" system is worth more to me than "I can do whatever I want, but I will spend hours getting it to do what I want" system. To each his own, choice is a beautiful thing. I just spent an hour putting together an SV08, I appreciate the plug and play of Bambu even more now ;-)
I like the no flake
Existen unos anillos en forma de 8. Creo que podrían funcionar. apenas estoy en la etapa de diseño 3D de un popper, y pienso usar esas argollas.
Thanks for the video, Just got my son a fdm printer for Christmas and lures was the first thing I thought of. I mostly fish for bigger saltwater fish though and I am worried about them holding up to the abuse. So far we’ve just printed random knick knacks with basic PLA off the bambú app but I’m excited to start playing with designing my own stuff.

what if you usually airbrush and two part epoxy wooden lures. Which 3d printing option would you go with, how to seal paint, which filament, etc.? Thanks
Would still suggest resin. I seal with UV resin.
@WMBayouLures forgive my poorly worded comment. You seal 3d printed lures with uv resin?
@ yes after painting, to provide protection for the paint. But any clear coat will work. I have used 2k clear spray as well. I have not found anything that doesn’t work.
@@WMBayouLures awesome, thanks for reply
Great job man! That looked like some serious skill on the printer. Now I know nothing about them. So mybe not. But I'm impressed
I'm currently in the process of building a hobby shop, and in between waiting on the various stages of the build I came across your channel and subscribed. I noticed in one of your videos a wall that you you've built your own soft plastic pigment holders. It looks like a PVC slatwall. Love the concept. I couldn't find a video you've done on printing these pigment holder racks and tool organizers. Is there one that I'm missing? Thanks for all of the great content you are putting out. I see another hobby in the makes.
Hey yeah I have been meaning to make that video! I will get it done soon for sure!
Oh and yeah it is PVC slat wall and I created holders for it.
@@WMBayouLures Awesome. It will probably be the first of it's kind on TH-cam.
Shoot me an email if you want to test print some of the holders for me before I release them - bill@wmbayou.com
@@WMBayouLures Thanks for the offer, I definitely would do it, but I'm not even set up yet. Just got my resin printer, and the FDM printer doesn't ship until the end of February, about the time I will be able to move everything into my new shop.
Carp is invasive you shouldn't release it back to the water
There are digital print bag options available from China that will print full color. Generally, they do cost a little more to print but there are a few companies that you can negotiate a cost that's the same as plate printed. Also, the Prop 65 warning is only needed if you have 10+ employees.
They have pretty much all moved to digital now, so you don't have to pay the plate fee and you can make changes without paying more plate fees but I have not noticed a decrease in bag prices with some of the latest quotes I have received. If we get tariffs on top of these prices things are going to get pretty ugly.
Oh and thanks for that clarification on the Prop 65 warning!
The cnc machining of dies and mold finishes are produced by finished step over. The smaller that number the smoother it will be. On H13 tool steel we step over .010-.030 depending on the diameter of the ball endmills. After you can Lap hone/polish them for a mirror finish. Same goes for aluminum. However I always wonder how they work 3D printed.. awesome job brother.
Here is how we get mirror finishes with resin 3D printed molds - th-cam.com/video/qi76bNucjDc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=G10K0qTqoKConmeN I am using this today to produce great finishes on baits. Thanks for watching!

@@WMBayouLures I had the same problem. I had to call them of the phone. I could only reach them at 2pm or 3pm eastern United States time
What kind of computer do you use to 3d print
M1 Macbook Pro.
What kind of computer do you have

I hope you're wrong, I will let you know if you can print molds using a FDM printer. I am planning to test printing Bambi Lab pps-cf for molds which has a deflection temperature of 264 degrees Celsius which is 507 degrees Fahrenheit. I have a Morgan Press injection molding machine that I am hoping I can use for short runs with this material. I will be printing on the X1E printer.
Can it be done? Yes it can but you will always be fighting uphill. Super long print times, fighting layer lines, and lack of overall detail are just some of the issues to contend with. Depending of what you are injecting other issues could arise. Check out what the guys that use Buster Beagle injectors are doing, resin prints with a cnc aluminum case seems to produce pretty good results. Great printer choice and you can certainly get good use out of it.
@@WMBayouLures Sure, I was just pointing out there is material now that will with stand the temperature. If I'm not satisfied with the quality, I'll purchase the Formlabs 4L and try the 10K Rigid material.
@@WMBayouLures How do you inject the multi-color lures. Like the yellow tails and brown bodies. Also, what material do you use to get the consistency of rubber worms?
You like that expensive stuff eh! A Saturn 4 Ultra or similar printer with Siraya Tech Sculpt resin will produce the same results for a fraction of the cost... Nothing wrong with Formlabs of course...
The material is plastisol I mostly use Baitplastics but also use some Dead-on. Multi-color can be done a number of ways: Inject tail color, cut out everything except the tail, inject main body color. Create a seperate tail mold, shot tails then place them in the main mold. Create a mold that has multiple injection ports and gates between the sections you want different colors (usually only used for large mass production molds)
State are you in?
Texas
Which Fusion 360 are you using? The free version or the subscription version?
I use the paid version but I am 99% sure nothing I am showing is exclusive to the paid version.
Where this at ?

You helped me catch some monster carp over the last few years. Cheers 🫡 Little wonderbread, some strawberry oats n’ corn mix. They can’t resist 😂
Awesome man, they are a ton of fun!
There's nothing you can buy with a closed eye?
Not that I am aware of
im looking to spend under $359 for a 3d printer. 250-350$ would be perfect. i want to print fishing lures such as glidebaits or crankbaits. im a beginner. any suggestions? what do you think about the elegoo Neptune 4 plus? and what filament should i get?
I don't print baits with filament printers so I can only recommend NO filament 😉 But if I had to I would suggest either the A1 or the A1 mini with the AMS system. The Neptune is a fine printer but for a 1st time printer the Bambu system is amazing. You can use standard PLA or PETG for lures. As long as you give them a nice UV resistant clear coat, or paint + clear coat you should be good to go.
@wmbayoulures is there a different in filament i would want to use sinking vs floating lures?
@@UnitedStatesG0v3rnm3nt Thats the main issue, I would say 99.99% of filaments lures are going to float and you need to add weight to make them sink. So if you want to make floating lures filament could work but otherwise you are going to need to add weight to get them to sink. I really need to do a deep dive video on this subject.....
@ that would be an awesome video
how do you print it and connect both parts with the hinge?
I used the technique outlined in this video - th-cam.com/video/w1o48laHAos/w-d-xo.html
Great points. I rather clean 10 fish than post process a resin print.
Its messy business for sure!
You really piqued my interest in this video. While I am not any kind of a fisherman nor have I any desire to make my own lures, you mentioned something about molds that I could use as an application. Do you happen to have a video related to making molds, and can you briefly explain how it is that you use them and what you're filling these molds with. Is this a resin mold that you're filling with silicone?
I have an entire playlist! - th-cam.com/play/PLEdNibYdUWY7Kxl6tZ3iihw1zSfulIeUe.html Specifically discusses Fusion 360 but all the concepts should transfer over. I use molds to make soft plastic fishing lures and inject heated plastisol (around 350F) You could inject silicone for sure but with resin you want to use a tin cure silicone as platinum cure has cure inhibition without further processing of the mold.
4:25 "....I mean, people catch fish on blocks of wood". I wonder who he's making reference to. 😂 @marlingbaits
Wait but can you do a more solid plastic injection molded part instead of silicone?
Sure check out this playlist - th-cam.com/play/PLEdNibYdUWY7Kxl6tZ3iihw1zSfulIeUe.html I inject heated plastisol but some folks like to pour in silicone.
@@WMBayouLures I'm trying to find out where to buy plastisol and there are a bunch of soft plastisol products for lure making popping up in search results. There must be a hard plastic option, eh?
@@PostalPete If you want to make hard lures you use resin, not plastic. I use a resin 3D printer and print them directly but you can also use the technique in this video and pour in resin instead of plastisol.
Bill thanks for the plug, but I 100% agree with all your points! I am thinking about getting another just because of the current prices.
Just caught another big northern bass on my fdm lure. Hoping it holds up to stripers next year. 🤞
Yeah you can catch fish in FDM lures for sure, but you can also catch fish on blocks of wood. Most lure makers are not going for the 3D printed lure look but want to make something that is nice and smooth with high detail. The fish don't care at all though 😉
@@WMBayouLures yeah I get that for sure. I agree, the fish do not care exactly how smooth something is. Textured, maybe. I encourage slight imperfections here and there because that what happens in nature.
@@FreedomFishing Yeah I always think its funny when people in general want a perfect lure when nothing in nature is perfect, especially the things that get eaten 🙂
Greetings, didn’t see anyone bring it up actually in the comment section, but can you elaborate a little bit on the “huge mistake” you made regarding the mold’s initial same side multi-cavity alignment while printing and how the second layout or cavity alteration changed the amount of resin that was used?? @ (2:17-3:21) *Specifically @ (3:07-3:13)(redesigned and “off-set” the lure cavities)??
Oh sorry! I forgot to add any holes for the screws/alignment pins! 🤦♂️
No worries, understood now for that part but also…. When you remade the mold you positioned the cavities kinda criss-crossed instead of side by side….and I believe you were saying that somehow that saved you some resin amount. How so though?
Made the mold shorter overall. It saved print time for sure and maybe some resin.
@@WMBayouLuresoh okay…now I’m grasping the concept! Thanks for clarifying! Awesome Stuff!✊🏽
Wow that’s good
Bill, you never cease to amaze me. Cool stuff!
might want to take down this, and re-upload it with better audio.

Bro's cooked😂
Smells like hell😂😂😂😂
Smells like victory!! 😆👊
I disagree mate.....I've spent 100's of hours of trials and errors and now have a super neat system to make quality FDM 3d printed hard bodied lures that catch fish.....and I print them in halves! 😁
Right 100s of hours to retrofit injection molded design constraints into a non-injection molded process. I m glad you found something that works for you but my point still stands.
Another trick you can do when using FDM printing is to design a cavity in the model and set a pause in the print part of the way through to drop in a weight/rattle/whatever, then continue the print so it entirely encapsulates what you inserted.
Yep one of the benefits of FDM for sure! Still don't like it for lures though 😝
