As a chaplain in kenya we are taking prison ministry as our priority.we are visiting them in prisons and many have trained chaplaincy.we are also doing reintegration to them by taking them back to community when released.some of them have become pastors.

IAD is working hard.

At one time five SDA chaplains served in the DOJ Federal Bureau of Prisons. Max is one of those who started as a civilian chaplain in California and has continued in this work. I am thankful to hear of the expansion of this work. At one time we had nearly 25 SDAs ministering as prison chaplains, then the number declined. I tried recruiting at the seminary, but there was little interest at that time. Remember Hebrews 13:3.

Ivan, some of your peers at the GC have children no longer active in the church. When in town I did pastoral counseling for workers in the building.

ACPE or CPSC?

The study sounds like what I heard about how the DoD views Mormons (LDS) as a faith separate from Collective Protestant. Too often our chaplains have been visible so much as a General Protestant chaplain that we have sometimes lost our identity as a specific faith. In the county ministerial meeting I attend and sometimes give the devotional, I notice the churches work toghter in addressing identified needs in the community. Too often, sadly, Adventists tend to duplicate in a much smaller manner those efforts in a separate way.

Be careful for the GC ACM not to get in the weeds of doing endorsements; that is a division or delegated role to a union or conference as determined by national boundaries. The GC role is as outlined to provide oversight for the ecclesiastical endorsement process to insure the denomination is holding to a uniform standard.

It sounds like the GC ACM Directorate requires the help of a certified CPE Educator / Instructor / Trainer as part of the team. As strong a Moses you may be, as a "father-in-law" Jethro, you need help and need to delegate some of the work. ACM and ACI will continue to grow and become too large to manage by one or two persons. This trend is not unique to Adventists. Chaplaincies are growing as a preferred expression of ministry across many long-standing denominations.

The benefits of CPE to the denomination merits investment of GC budget into the program as seed monty to send qualified CPE Educators abroad to train local trainers in the division. I recall PRESAXD all nodding / voting consent to establish CPE training centers in six divisions (including NAD); Unfortuately, after that action, treasury would not increase the budget to implement any start. The good idea withered on the vine for awhile while attention focused on the up-coming 2015 GC Session and other changes. Which CPE is being tracked? ACPE, or CPSP?

Your first six months have been very intense and active! Thank you for keeping the issues around ordination clear. Now if we can get similar clarity around credentials. I had the same experience as a "first-time delegate" to a GC session; I suspect that may be the case for numbers of persons who come to work at the GC level of the denomination. Any chance I can receive the renewed emeritus credential that expired in 2020, so I can continue chaplaincy ministry here in Ohio with the support of the denomination in the eyes of the public agencies.

We need to get more information about reasons why church in Korea disfellowship people who became part of army. Different countries have very different government (not only democratic, not only with peaceful plans against neighbors) and the government have big influence to strategy using of soldiers. It possible the church in Korea has some reason for the decision. I don't have a lot information about situation in Korea, but I remember about situation in Soviet Union.
