what a silly; little guy :)
Shovelers are amazing and someday would love to work with them in my collection
They are beautiful waterfowl indeed
Thank you for this great video
Beautiful
Could you post a video on how these coops are built??
❤
Shovelers has always been my favorite.
Oh wow! How are you able to have these geese? Are you some sort of animal rehabber or something? Says there are fewer than 1000 of these left in the world. I sure hope conservationist can get their numbers up. Wish they'd allow people to buy them so we could start breeding programs to save them and bring them back from the brink of extinction. ❤
@@tylerstrong1776 We keep and breed over 125 species of waterfowl and have young on most species available every year. While there are thousands of pheasant and waterfowl breeders throughout North America and several Pheasant and Waterfowl clubs (American Pheasant and Waterfowl Society, International Wildwaterfowl Association, Pennsylvania Avicultural Society, Carols na Virginia Pheasant and Waterfowl Society, to name a few), most of these breeders and clubs focus on captive breeding and public awareness, rather than release programs. Most governments are not interested in birds for release due to disease threats, and in many cases lack of viable habitat.
Hey I hope I'm not annoying you with these questions both of my ponds have have aerators running in them most of the time but I don't have like running water like from a pond flowing in 24/7 I feel them up and clean them out every 2 weeks that should be fine with them when they start breeding and laying eggs right
@@JakeLatiolais-m6q sounds like you have pretty big aviary. It’s depends how many birds you have there.
@avianempireinc over the years I have had lots of birds in my aviary but now I have 9 ducks in my aviary 2 pairs of wood ducks and 2 pairs of Mandarin ducks and I have 1 spare wood duck hen I have black belly whistling ducks in other pins and plan on getting other exotic birds in the future for my aviary
@@JakeLatiolais-m6qyes that should be good for breeding season.
@@avianempireinc thanks for answering my questions I'll talk to you in the future
Hey I just wanted to ask a question my aviary is about 45 by 48 ft and I have 2 ponds with aerators in them and my walls around the aviary or just two different types of wire and I have a beam in the middle holding the net up and where I live I live in Louisiana and in the winters it can get very cold and I have a dog house in my aviary with shavings as a shelter but my mandarins or wood ducks never use it normally at night they roost in their ponds in the water can't freeze with the aerator but I just want to know if that's okay I want them to be comfortable in there aviary and another thing I wanted to say I have been watching your videos for about 4 years and just great job on everything love the videos keep up the good work
Thanks. They will be fine as long as they have open water. We use running well water to keep water on the ponds open, but you need overflow pipe for that. Wood ducks and mandarins are winer hardy.
@avianempireinc thanks
Adorable 💙
Nice ❤
SO COOL
I wanna hug them
Your design of the hardware screen as a water pan ramp has given me some ideas. TYVM
@@rogerduhaime1476 yes will keep your duckings alive! They will not be able to drown under it.
Beware Blue-winged teal
Markband Ashley has one of the best setups in the hobby. Phenomenal people and animals
Awesome little waterfowl indeed. Very nice 👍
Maravilloso
Is it just the lightning or do they have white eyes? Do the white eyed ones have a special name where I can find them?
To me for some reason with him standing like that with his beak bill he looks like an eagle

Love your video, I raised a Spur Winged goose, from a few days old, they are precious
They are gorgeous!
Just by calling them nene geese tells me it’s from Hawaii. We have few of them. They live in the mountains on Maui and the big island. They are protected here even though in the rest of the world you would be calling them Canadian geese. We have very few sea birds of other conman types. They come to us from the northern Hawaiian islands were are north of us and uninhabitable due to no water and being very small. Only birds live there. 😅

My favorite breed of swan
That looks like a eagle kinda
I love the videos! I’d love to see more videos on divers and diver propagation. More TH-cam videos on bufflehead and NA ruddies especially
I love the use of the thick lumber. People make nest boxes with thin wood which brings no insulating properties. Thicker walls provide insulation which keeps the box the accurate temp, and that is one of the most important things in my opinion. Love the videos, Clyde!
What a fabulous creature. They are so magnificent.
