Looks beautiful

Loved the Touchmaster. Very intuitive to use, without having to look at it, and the sirens (wail & yelp, where I'm at) had a very sharp, distinctive sound that was very good at moving traffic. They were also built very tough--I don't recall ever having a Touchmaster break, or become inoperative.

Was Marple in there as well ?

I noticed the front flashers on the Deleware State Police car's Streethawk lightbar either weren't on or didn't work. The rear flashers were functioning though.

I always loved the "Mickey Mouse" roof-mounted brake and turn lights. Easy to spot at night. The only ticket I ever got from the PSP (in 1984) was from a trooper driving a 1983 Chevy Malibu. That paint scheme with the blue hood & the blue trunk was one of the best that they ever had. No idea that the strobe light also had a 'steady burn' cruise light feature to it.

I didn't know that they had a 'steady burn' and a 'strobe' mode with those lights. Didn't Kentucky have them, but in blue? Oh..........I never saw a PSP cruiser with wig-wag headlights. That's a very cool feature, especially since they didn't have spotlights back then.

I lived in Pennsylvania from 1979 to 1988 and definitely remember those "popcorn maker" strobe lights on the PA State Police cruisers. I think they started using them in the mid-1970s, but in 1986 or 1987, they swapped them out for a shorter but wider version. The PSP ran them until 1991 or 1992 when the state law was changed to require red AND blue lights on all police cars. By then, they were phasing in the full red/blue light racks and moving from the Ford LTD to the Chevrolet Caprice. P.S. I don't remember any "cruise" light. Could that have just been the faint red glow while the strobe dwell was picking up again?

these were the best nyc taxis followed by the crown vics. I remember in the 90's when there were hundreds of these all over the city. they would rattle like crazy but were really comfortable.

The Ford LTD Brougham (Fox Body) I've seen a few of them burn up on the side of the road, catalytic converter gets red hot from idling, whole car burns up.

The 80-81 LeBaron A38 and 75-76 Fury A38 have always been some of my favorite cop cars ever, both being in the top 5 out of every cop car I like, it's so nice to see someone restored one, I get tired of people saying they're ugly cars, that just isn't true

fourth gen caprice was probably my favrite cop car.

I had a diecast toy cruiser just like this as a kid in the 90s. I loved that car from the movie Jumanji!. Just stay away from suspicious looking vines and old timey hunters!

Im looking for a 2006-2011 crown victoria police interceptor that was NYSP. Getting extremely hard to find. Especially if the car is older then an 06. What you have is extremely cool and super rare.

Growing up in western Pennsylvania, I remember these cars well. You knew to behave yourself if you saw these babies in your rear view mirrors.
