So sad, all this guy probably does is wax it, take it to the car shows on a Saturday night, and then drive it home hoping the bugs, birds and rocks won't molest his fiberglass baby. I've been there too, and truthfully, I'd rather have a car in primer now than a pristine garage Queen.
Can't beat the sound of a BB with solids, in 1975 i built a 67 Camaro Yenko clone, 427/425 with 456 gears and a 4 speed, 12.7 car @108-110 like NOTHING even with a JUNK Holley 780, some 25 inch tall slicks, only made a few runs , i knew someone who raced weekends and he said a 800-850 DP and single plane manifold like the Tarantula back then 12.4 or better. The L-88 was a bit much for street use with the 12.5 comp. and that more radical cam, the cam on the 425/435 was a nice compromise
Yep, the 435 HP option was with the three deuces. If you elected a single Holley 4 BBL, it was a 425 HP option. Not sure the upcharge for the three deuces just to get the additional 10 HP. I'm sure it was a status thing.
The horsepower numbers as installed in the car was pretty accurate considering the stock 2-inch exhaust system. The L88 for example was rated at 430hp at 5200 rpm and with the stock system that is almost exactly what it made. Now remove the exhaust and run open headers and you instantly made about 100hp more and that puts you where most stock L88s would dyno, about 525-540hp.
I know it’s rare to have an auto in a 69 Vette ( I had a 72 in the same color and interior), but an auto in a Vette, is like an elevator in an outhouse, don’t belong , that is however a beautifully kept 69, BRAVO
Would you say that if it was a C2. I'm seeing that people are not wanting to leave the same comment if the corvette was a C2. Which is bias and silly to me.
I have a Chevy Corvette original BBC + 4 speed transmission I need to sell. Have a back injury, cannot get into or out of corvette (70 years old ). All original , No Rust (New Mexico) inside a warehouse. Can you help me sell my car. As you know, a original BBC corvette has a special letter, in the V.I.N. that proves this car is a Factory 🏭 Original Big Block Corvette. Has very expensive Hooker chrome side pipe (real) exhaust, looks like a Ford cobra. Just leave a comment
The throwing bearing doesn't care a bit...the thrust bearing for the crank...in theory, force is applied with no oil pressure, but, in reality, they don't care either, just not affected. Even on Hondas that generally have only half a thrust bearing. They just don't wear out from that.
Gorgeous
This 50-year-old vet would just keep going up in price
How’s the fiber optics ?

If i can get a hold of one of these (coupe anyway) someday it has just gotta have sidepipes.

Automajic trannys are for people too lazy to shift.
Sounds great
The Auto Tranny ruins it for me.
Older Corvettes should always have 4-speeds.

Never been a Corvette guy, but that is really a nice combo of options and colors.

WOW a beauty but such a WASTE with an auto.
That is just like my Corvette I have a 1977 the body and the inside of the car had not change from 1968 though 1977 the Corvette is the same
Nice car but I would not want a automatic I had a 68 427 435 four speed got to have a four speed in a vett

Keep in mind the horsepower and torque numbers were reported lower than they actually were. Also the upgraded options add so much value over time.

Didn’t know about the letter in the VIN
@@thehillbillyhoarder4996 The letter Z = 454 cid ( 5th position)
Very Beautiful
I was taught to never depress clutch on start up,hard on throw out bearing. Just my 2 cents worth. Very nice car
It had a clutch safety switch, wouldn't start if you didn't depress the clutch.

Is that all original miles on it? Also, what is the top speed you’ve been able to hit in this?
