My name is Natalia, I am a former figure skater and dancer and now dance costume designer.
I have been dancing for more than half of my life, and as far as I can remember, I sewed all my costumes myself, well 😜 in the beginning my grandmother helped me. 😉
The dance world never let me go, for which I am actually glad and grateful, and for more than 10 years now, I have been making costumes professionally.

I grew up ice skating. I have occasionally made dresses for myself and others. I have always used the hot fix stones, but it takes so long, and they don't always stick. Gluing looks so much faster, even with the video sped up! ❤ I will try this next time!

Hi Natalia, do you have a training programme or offer one to one training? I have recently started competing in ballroom/latin (im 40yrs younge 😂) I have been sewing since i was a child however making dresses for competitions with built in leotards is mind blowing..... i have looked and looked in the U.K for a course i could study to help me make the patterns and I cant find a single course to study aimed for dance wear. Any advice on courses to study or where to even look would be much appreciated. I love all of your beautiful creations. Would love more videos too ❤ ❤ ❤

Glue from Russian company Rest. Same glue has an English company Ajour (dance atelier)

They call it picker upper 😅 I made mine myself. Chinese sticks and bee wax

How do I apply shoulder feathers?
Feathers are on the ribbon. You pin the ribbon on the shoulder part while the unitard on the doll and then you sew it by hand. It is complicated to do it on the machine.

What sturdy material would I use as a belt base for crystal belt with felt backing?
If it’s a dance costume I would use elastic

It would fasten with velcro
Of course it can be stretch. All the belts I made for dance costumes had crystals and they keep elasticity

Thank you very much 🙏 I use many different brands. Swarovski, Preciosa, Stellux, some very good Chinese brands. It’s depends on the budget of the clients.

PLEASE what glue besides the E6000 did you use to put the 20ss on with???
This glue is from Russian company Rest, they also have branch in Europe. Very good glue, in case of stains can be removed with pure alcohol or vodka. Similar glue has Chrisanne clover from UK but it can’t be removed with alcohol.

@@veronicacriscione87 Ah! that glue I got from one company called REST(russia), its their own production. That glue is magic! in case you made a mistake, you can remove the crystals and use pure alcohol or vodka to remove the glue stain :)
