She was too busy to care what Garbo was doing ! And for the record Marlene and MERLE OBERON were for a while, in the late - 1930s and mid-40s, "competitors" for a few roles. They shared many Professional associations----Alex Korda, Josef Von Sterberg and a few lovers. They likewise despised each other. But while the beautiful Anglo Indian Oberon is somewhat forgotten in 2023, Dietrich emerges as the True Iconic star.
