Wassup world! Yeah you. I'm Travis Scott and this is my McDonald's order, follow me. Here's my Quarter Pounder® with lettuce, pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, and bacon (Yeah!). Here's my fries, sometimes I do this! Then I dip them into barbeque sauce. Oh yeah, and my Sprite®! (It's lit!). Same order since back in Houston, and you can try it too. Gotta go. The Travis Scott Meal, just $6. Say Cactus Jack sent you.

The CHI facilitator's questions in brackets, followed by my responses, from a public facebook post... [Who is going to get the message out about serving victims in communities like Rapid City?] First, you have to look at victimization itself; who is being victimized, why are they being victimized, & who is victimizing these people... The Western modus operandi consistently ignores the root while addressing the branches, this is true in medicine as well as in the legal arena. The so-called "war on drugs" is a perfect example. Your idea of "serving the victims" is again tied into your focus on money, this is not an issue of healing, but rather an issue of economics. You want to profit from applying bandaids to gunshot wounds while perpetuating the cycle of violence that insures continual victimization in order to justify constant funding for the police, & consistent increases in that funding, to constantly increase the depth & extent of the police state. So nothing changes. If that were not true, then you would be focused on looking for the root of victimization & eliminating that. And, were you to do that, you would find that a key point in that process would be abolition of the police. Therefore, this question is moot. [Who should the department of justice give the grant money to to get this done?] Let's place the context where it should be, which is on communities, not monies. The DOJ needs to stop & ponder their name - the department of what? Justice, not just-us. That's been the ongoing tongue-in-cheek joke for as long as I can remember. But it's not a joke, it's a reality. And it lies at the core of every issue with justice in these occupied lands. If you look at the history of policing in this country you'll see that that point is irrefutable (google "Slavery & the origins of the american police state"). And if you look at the disparities between Native vs non-Native arrests, imprisonment, & death by cop situations... or the same between all people of color vs white, or poor of any color vs rich, again, you cannot deny that it is the truth. So, in reality, should the so-called Dept of Justice be concerned with giving small amounts of money to victimizers (police), or even to victims, or should they focus instead on ending victimization? Your questions are leading questions aimed at funneling me towards your answer, but I don't play that game. [how we can bring better victim services to the people most in need for those services?] That one is simple, if you acknowledge what brought about the victimization to begin with, but impossible if you ignore even one aspect of the cause. A society without police, without government interference in their daily affairs, does not have the incidents of victimization that we see here today. When communities function as healthy entities, the community will take care of its own. The implementation of the police force robs the community of the freedom to function as communities should. The police do not answer to the community, the police answer to the government, so the police do not represent or serve the people, they serve the government. And the government does not give a shit about the people. The police turn the people into sheep in need of a shepherd. Why do the police spend so much of their time extorting money from common people? Why do people deemed guilty of violating victimless laws land in jail, or are made to pay large fines, when they've only injured some piece of paper & not actually harmed anyone? And what do you suppose is the psychological effect on people living in such a society? Why would any person respect the law when the law is more important than people? And why should people respect the police when the police are the ones enforcing these ideologies on paper at the burden of the people? Why should the people respect the police when the police do not respect the people? The people don't need bandaid services to cover the wounds inflicted by the greedy government & their abusive police. The people need the ability to live in a community where their rights, & their lives are respected. That does not exist in a police state. That does not exist in this city, nor in this country (unless you're very white, very rich, & male). Slaves were allotted a roof over their heads, food, & clothing, & they were severely punished for violating the rules that their owners created - rules that were solely to benefit the owners, nothing to do with peace & harmony. How is our current situation different? [If I’m not mistaken there Is more funding for victim services then is requested by crime victims. How do we get that to change?] Again, there's more to life than money. Why can't most Euroamericans & assimilated Natives understand this? There is no humanity in economics, or capitalism. There is very little commonsense in this world, how do we get that to change? There is very little compassion in this world, how do we get that to change? I don't give a fuck about money. I care about the pain & fear I see in children's eyes. I care about women crying because the fucked-up world your people created has placed every female alive in perpetual danger. And I care about the world our future generations will be born into. In regards to money though, google an article titled, "Police reforms you should ALWAYS oppose", note point #1 in that truthout article. In terms of government funding, how much do school teachers in South Dakota make? What about housing, education services that teach the things human beings need to know to be healthy, what about childcare, feeding the hungry, or just building communities that look after everyone's needs so that theft & the drug trade aren't necessities? Why do people steal, is it because people, or specific races of people, are inherently dishonest? Why do people use drugs, or engage in any addiction, what brought about the pain or neglect that addiction is responding to? And at the end of the day, who ultimately profits from theft, the drug trade, & imprisonment? If you want to talk about money, that's where that discussion is. [This is about serving people who have been victimized.] The key point that you continually ignore is that the people have been/are being victimized by the police. And to reiterate one of my first points, it's a cold hard slap in the face to see the police receive money in the name of racism & victimization when the police are primary perpetrators of racism & victimization. If you truly want to serve victimized people, then why aren't you focused on eliminating the cause of victimization? Capitalism, lust, greed, & disrespect for the common man is the root cause of victimization, & the police are the ones who maintain that system. We never had these victimization issues before capitalism was forced upon us. That's a fact, not a belief, but an irrefutable fact. The answer is in the community. Google 1) "A community compilation on police abolition", 2) "Are police obsolete? Breaking cycles of violence through abolition democracy." & 3) "Abolish the police. Instead, let's have full social, economic, & political equality." The answer is not in increased policing, or increased funding to the police. The answer is in empowering communities. I answer all of your questions, while you answer none of mine. I respond to each of your points, but you respond to none of mine. Why is that? In the CHI meetings I attended, & again earlier in this string, I asked how you can justify encouraging more Natives to call the police against their neighbors when this city & state has such a surreal disparity between Natives & non-Natives in the jail system. You never responded to that. That is not only further oppression of Native people, but even a ploy to con Natives into helping you oppress us. That's disgusting. Also, in meetings, in private conversation, & previously in this string, I tried to impress upon you the disastrous effects that putting the police, or any government entity, in charge of Historical Trauma treatment for Natives would have on the overall psyche of the Native population. Your continual ignoring of that issue can only indicate a complete disregard for the psychological/emotional & spiritual health of Native people. You don't respond to my questions & concerns because you aren't interested in open discussion, you only want to convince me to go along with your plan. But your plan is detrimental to my & my children's future.

And there's that, "The Black Hills are not for sale" bit at the end... F-all to do with this - just a ploy to get all the Indians stoked about increasing the police state! :-D Come on, people, think!

Note the comment at 1:38 This guy says it will be up to them! WTF? We are Lakota's! The Rapid City Police dont dictate to us what needs to be done! They are the biggest part of the problem! and while this is going on they are still profiling and abusing our people.

We exposed this group a few years ago! We call them a feel good group. They filter out all the Grass Root natives and just want the Loaf around the fort Indians, assimilated, sold out, and bootlickers... They are funded and supported by the Mayor and RCPD. They are also associated with GPTCHB Great Plains Tribal Chairman Health Board they group that took over Sioux San and are making under the table deals with Rapid City leaders. another group to watch out for is The Mniluzahan Okolakiciyapi Ambassadors (MOA) They are also involved. People like Bruce Longfox, Whitney Rencountre and Eric Bringswhite are all involved. They are all manipulated, funded and controlled my the Rapid City Mayor and Police Chief.

They're not that benign, they're worse than just a complacent feel-good group, they're helping to increase the police state, & insuring that even more Indians will be in jail. In each meeting I attended, the facilitator (Rich?) mentioned another grant to follow, with the possibility of members being able to get some of that money - which excited everyone! So, how much "free money" (nothing is free in this world) does it take to get some individuals to sellout their people?

I went to some of their meetings, no one could explain to me just how encouraging a 20% increase in 9-1-1 calls from Natives in north Rapid, on other Natives, in the immediate, then a 50% increase over the next couple years, will make Rapid City a better place... or does that refer only to white people in Rapid City? I asked why Natives should support this before the RCPD addresses their racist policies & the gross disparity between Native & non-Native inmates across the state, & the facilitator's response was that they were working on it... Bullshit. This is nothing more than a plan to increase the police state & to turn north Rapid into a community of snitches. The CHI grant originated with the national police association & went out to PD's in 5 cities with poc communities who have historically been victimized by the police. The money does not go to the community, it goes to the racist police departments. The initiative cannot heal anyone when racist policies remain in place. And having the police, who are directly responsible for much of our most recent trauma, lead, or even be involved in, Historical Trauma healing programs is a slap in the face! These grant monies award racist police departments in Rapid City, Chicago, Oakland, & elsewhere for being racists. Their goal is to integrate the police even deeper into our community than they already are so they can more easily, more efficiently, imprison us all.
