Nice job Monty, our neighbor was out baling their last cutting of the year today. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks, Tony.
Excellent tedder! Still lots of hay yet to go down here. Speaking of camera angles, I think you need to add a drone to the filming fleet…👍
Thanks. I have a lot of hay to get finished here and the weather is not cooperating. I have thought of a drone, but I know I'm going to purchase equipment instead of a drone.
Man yeah Mr Monty, getting after it!! That is a SUPER nice tedder!!! Especially hooke to that 584😉 I ventured down that road today, planting a field back in to hay ground. Really have some customers wanting more. I appreciate the different camera angles, I know it's work for sure!! Thank you sir for bringing us along, look fwd to seeing whats next!! 👍🏻👍🏻😁😁🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thanks, Nelson. I really do like the tedder. I'm glad you liked the different camera angles. It's hard to try to keep the videos a little different when you only farm one crop. It's a pleasure to have you guys along for the ride.
@@VintageFarm1086 😉😁😁
Nice looking hay & the IH sounds great…👍
Thanks
Looking good Monty 584 talking going up those hills
Thanks, Gordon
Man yeah Mr Monty, looks great!!! Those sure are some steep hills it looks like. I could hear the 584 pulling down as you started the climb!! Thank you sir for the rise along, and look fwd to seeing whats next!! 😁😁👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks, Nelson. Those hills aren't too bad. I have some a lot steeper.
Nice job Monty, hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks, Tony
Grass looks good and yield too. Camera is making very good quality images and the sound is clear to my ears. I use a video editing program called Movavi - it is easy, powerful and cheap…👍
Thanks.
Man yeah Mr Monty, what a sweet ride!! That sure is mowing beautifully!! What kind of camera did you get? Looking fwd to seeing this in rolls!! Thank you sir for bringing us along!! 👍🏻👍🏻😁😁🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thanks. I was pushed for time and I didn't get any video of baling. I will try to video the next time I bale. It's funny how much time we spend trying to get the camera setup for videoing. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@VintageFarm1086 I know exactly what you mean Mr Monty!!
Looking good Monty, hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks Tony
Interesting equipment Monty and very well and skillfully operated!
Yes it's a interesting show.
Man I haven’t seen that type equipment operating in real life in years. Thanks for sharing Monty and hope you have a blessed weekend my friend.
That machine can move some dirt
Yes it does
I have said it before, but I would love to have that at the farm for about a week 😁😁 Thank you sir for bringing us along!!
It would definitely be helpful, but I rather have a excavator.
That’s a dang big dozier there Monty, not many of those around my area. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed rest of the week my friend.
That is the only twin engine I have ever seen.
Be a nice spot for a house thanks for ride sharp 1086
Thanks
That would be a nice spot for a house. Hope you get the rain you need. Tractor is purring . Have a good one buddy
Thanks. We have had a little rain.
Nice to see ya again, Mr Monty!! Boy, I have said it a hundred times...but man that 1086 is nice!! Those red panels in the cab are a very nice accent. I had no idea about them. Have to turn the AC down 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thank you friend for bringing us along, look fwd to seeing what's next!! 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thanks, Nelson. I'm glad you like the red interior. It needs to be replaced. Yeah the camera was right in front of the A/C vent.
@@VintageFarm1086😁😁
Looking good Monty, hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks, Tony
We got one of those spreader ours seemed to do better with slurry the dryer litter wanted to stick & hollow out
I was concerned that a rear beater spread would put the compost on to thick. I have used those on hay ground before. Plus this was a cheap spread. I didn't want to invest a lot of money in this compost program incase it doesn't work out.
Thanks for your videos. Would you recommend this haybine for a small hobby farmer? Ive seen some bad reviews but havent talked to anyone with one.
In my opinion a new holland is better. I bought the 1190 because it was cheap and available, used it for a few years and got a discbine.
There you are spreading campaign promises😂. Take care Monty and have a blessed week my friend.
Man yeah Mr Monty, getti g aome compost spread!! Looks like it did ok considering how thick the compost is. I love that 1086, thank you sir for bringing us along!! 😁😁😁👍🏻👍🏻
Man yeah Mr Monty!! Fighting bee's 🤦🏼🤦🏼🐝🐝🐝 That was pretty wild about the sprocket, glad it worked out!! The best bits for me I have found are the harbor freight ones in the yellow and black case. Catch them on sale for less than 10 bucks most of the time. Looking fwd to seeing some compost fly!! I like the angle iron trick!! Thank you sir for bringing us along!!! 😁😁😁👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲
Yeah, I didn't know that the sprocket was on backwards. It was like that when I bought the spreader. Thanks for the info on the drill bits. I will try them. In next weeks you can see it in action.
Get er done Monty and hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks, Tony
Genius idea of timing the water filling the bucket to get an idea of how to get the amount of water needed in the tank there. I know, simple idea but, Genius none the less. 👍🏻
Thanks. A plumber friend of mine suggested that, and it worked great.
Man yeah Mr Monty, seems to be doing great!! I would have forgotten those for holes, for venting 🤦🏼🤦🏼🤣🤣 Look fwd to seeing it working!!😁😁👌🏻👌🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Nelson. I almost forgot about a venting the tank. Well if the camera would have worked you would have seen the sprayer in action. I didn't realize the camera had an issue until I was editing.
@@VintageFarm1086 😁😁👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Looks good - nice build on the tank…👍
Thanks
Now Monty, if you buy a new sprayer, you’ll have to change your channel name, you have to stay vintage 😂. Just kidding my friend and hope it works out for you and that you have a blessed week ahead.
@@RandWFarmstead-TonyWalsh I might just buy an old sprayer. LOL
Well Dang the luck with the pump & tank on your sprayer. Nice fix to get you by until you find the next sprayer unit. Take care.
Thanks for watching and commenting
Looks good - I rebuilt my small sprayer with a similar tank. I bit the billet and bought a Hypro Silver XL series pump. Knock on wood, no more rust issues fouling up the pump year over year.
Thanks. I'm not really going to put much more time and money in this sprayer. I'm looking for a big sprayer to setup the was I want it. Probably just going to put a hand wand on this one and use it as a spot sprayer.
If I pushed it off it would definitely hit my truck. I put used motor oil in my pumps. Works great and it’s a free byproduct. Have a good one buddy
Boy you amd me seem to have the same luck Mr Monty!! Those sprayers can really wear a man down!! Yep...I would have pushed it off, and right into the truck 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That threader is pretty slick!! I hate those bulkhead fittings, such a pain. Look fwd to seeing it out in the field soon my friend!! 😁😁😁👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Yeah, I really think we buy the same equipment, just different locations. LOL. I was surprised when it didn't hit my truck. Yes the bulkhead fittings are a pain. Well if the camera would have cooperated you would have seen it in operation. The sprayer worked well. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@VintageFarm1086 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻
Those bales look great. Nice job with the string tie spacing - tight bales too, don’t see any sag. How much do you think one of those bales typically weighs? Thx!
Thanks. With replacing the drive sprocket, the baler does a much better job and makes a tighter bale. 5-600 lbs each.
Nice work Monty, thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks, Tony
Man yeah Mr Monty, right up my alley!! You had me rolling though...."I better stop or I'll have it in the garage door" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wouldn't have been that lucky to remind myself until I heard it crunch🤦🏼🤣 Looking fwd to seeing the repair over the winter!! Thank you sir for bringing us along!! 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲
It would not have been the first time something hit my garage door. But there's no photo evidence of that. I'm still working on a repair plan. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
@@VintageFarm1086 😉😉😁😁👍🏻👍🏻
Maybe that'll get you by till winter when got time do something more permanent
Hopefully it will. My winter project list is already pretty long.
Man yeah Mr Monty, between the 584 and the skid steer, you made short work of that!! Boy that is such a blessing to have that kind of storage!! Oh my, I would have all the strings cut for sure 😂😂🤣🤣 Hopefully the tire report wasn't bad, and you were able to get back after it!! Thank you sir for bringing us along!! 😉😉👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁😁🇺🇲🇺🇲
Those two do make a good team for moving hay bales. Yes the pole works great for hay and equipment. Yeah I'm going to have to do something with those metal pieces for sure. I ended up taking the tire off the rim and putting a patch/plug in it. That's for watching and commenting Nelson. I enjoy the tillage video. It's nice to see the old iron in action.
@VintageFarm1086 😉😉😁😁👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you Mr Monty!!
Oh my 😳😳😳😳😳 Are those Bald faced hornets? 😳😳😳 Nope and couple heck no's, looks like you won though 😉
Yes I think so. I didn't get close enough to see after I ran over the nest. Just considered myself very lucky they didn't come after me.
@@VintageFarm1086 Wow, you sure are Mr Monty 🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻😁😁👌🏻👌🏻
Nice video Monty, hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks
Excellent video! Thanks for making this! The rubber on my top roller looks good like your lower roller. I’m wondering if the top sprocket is wollered out like your lower sprocket causing the lower drive roller to do all the work and with it slip and wear on the rubber. I’ll check it out and the spring length too. Thanks again…👍
Thanks, I hope it helps. If you have any questions just ask.
@@VintageFarm1086 Will do - thx!
Looks like you've got a lot of nice bales out there to pick up. Pretty handy little alarm box set up. Keep up the good work there Monty.
Yeah it was a few. Thanks
Looks good…👍
Thanks
I still say, the skid steer beats the tractor for loading bales in the field. Faster and more fun!
If the bales are close to the trailer, but if I have to go very far the tractor is faster.
@@VintageFarm1086 That's true, you just need someone to help out to run the skid steer or move the bale trailer.
Looks like some really nice hay there Monty. Those were some "Healthy" sized windrows you had raked up. Thanks for the ride alongs. Take care.
Thanks. Yeah they were big windows.
See the Case rake doing work, the dang tongue broke clean off of mine last time I was raking. Got to get it welded back on and ready for the next time we head to the field.
Yes the case rake works well for me. Good luck with your repairs.
Is that an 84 series on the rake? Got a 784 new in 1982, still going with only minor repairs. And what is on the baler?
Yes, it's a 584 and a 1086 on the baler. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Isn’t that what is called a swather.
Maybe in some places, but not around here.
Nice job Monty, thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks
That’s a great video, good sized windrows and the 330 appears to be taking the hay fine. Couple of questions if you don’t mind. Looking at your older video replacing the pickup tines, was the additional length of the tines noticeably beneficial picking up the hay and getting it into the baler? I also noticed you have what appears to be a full set of compression rods on your pickup compression rack. Do you run the full set in heavy hay like in this video? Taking notes here in VA for use with my 335…. Thanks!
Thanks. Yes the 330 takes hay very well. It will take all you can shove in it and more. It's amazing how much hay it takes. Yes the longer pickup teeth made quite a bit of deference in how it picks up hay. I'm glad I replaced them. Yes I run a full set of compression rods. It helps with feeding hay into the bale chamber. I made the extra rods out of 3/8 rod I picked up a Lowe's. I used an original for a pattern. They lasted two seasons and now I have lost two of them. I guess I will break down and pay mother deere there hi price for new ones. LOL. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
Excellent video….👍
Thank you
