How about throwing a little credit to the leaders and legislators passing ARPA / IRA legislation, that ALLOWS you to fund these projects without local rate increases. Or is that too much of a political inconvenient truth? It's been a problem for a long time, and only now being fixed because ; 1) The current federal government made investing in infrastructure a priority 2) The local congressional reps voted against the funding opportunity for Macomb were outvoted. That will now change. I guess have the dog and pony shows while you can still take the credit for "finding and fixing."

Chesterfield received $5 million of ARPA funds in 2021. NONE of it was used to ‘help’ our community in particular our drains and detention ponds. Ms. Miller literally said things have been neglected for decades. So our previous supervisor, Dan Acciavatti, neglected to maintain our drains, ditches and detention ponds and now he works for Ms. Miller in the Macomb County Drain Commission. We the people need to demand answers. What does the county do with all of our tax dollars? Ms. Miller said in this video that the road commission is responsible for the ditches in front of people’s homes. Supervisor Brad Kersten has told Chesterfield residents that they’re responsible for them. Who’s lying??
