The man had perhaps the most astonishing vocal range abd depth. And ive got to say as a painter? Bit of a natural genius. Thank god. Selfishly. That he did have economic troubles for him to be on the Bongo Fury album. Got to be one of the best albums in rock history. Stunning.

Yes Jazzfromhell I can just agree!! The Hammersmith Odeon gig is one of the Rory's bests! Awesome, so powerful and so melodic in the same time ! Saw them at Circus in Stockholm early 00's. Daryl Johnson playing bass, Moog pedals, percussion and singing harmony at the same time, pure magic. Met Buddy M. after the show, just the nicest guy ever! And please!!! Emmy, it's time for a new record!!!

This was amazing! the last few songs by Ali Farka Toure were absolutely mesmerizing.

When you think about it Van Fleet’s behavior, manner and his love to constantly create the new, avant, attracted other musicians- who like JCB, Don Preston, Steve Vai, Terry Bozio that played w Zappa, found a place to express their art, musical chops w two Bizarre giants!

Great concert! Old band energized by three new musicians and grooving.

What a mind blowing concert and a fantastic tribute to the genius, creativity and boldness of Jimi Hendrix. Compare that to the half-assed, soulless, tribute to Jeff Beck put together by Eric Clapton recently...
