The Failure Effect
Kenya
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 22 ม.ค. 2023
The Failure Effect is a podcast about reclaiming the word 'failure' and turning it into success! Every week, we listen to people from all walks of life who encourage us not to write ourselves off just because we have experienced failure, but to turn those failures into teachable moments that help us improve our lives and emerge bigger, better, stronger.
The Failure Effect is hosted by journalist Wayua Muli, former editor of magazine and newspaper titles such as True Love (East Africa) magazine, The Saturday Magazine and The Saturday Nation.

At the ripe old age of 27, Winnie is practically a life veteran. The mother of a four-year-old boy has survived more plot twists than a soap opera - starting when she became an orphan at three and moved in with her grandmother. Thus began her epic battle with anxiety and depression in high school, but lo and behold, the entrepreneurial spirit kicked in! She kicked off with pitches to investors that didn't wok out as planned, but while at university, she hit the sweet spot with a sweets-selling business. That venture eventually took a nosedive, but it was a masterclass in surviving the cutthroat world of business. Now, she’s an SEO whiz, author, and blogger, with enough wisdom to navigate us through mental health, business bloopers, and the heartbreak of loss. Tune in to hear the full story.

I really really love your work
Awesome story
This is alot,Soo glad Violet shared.I know the feeling of being stuck too well.
I thought I have suffered, wueh! I completely relate and empathize with Beth. I am a former banker, resigned in 2015 to pursue other career avenues, it's been such a roller coaster ,I am yet to find a stable footing. I have a load of exposure and life lessons but wueh!
Great conversation that has brought out many important aspects of life. Kudos Girl. I admire your resilience.
Never 👏bang 👏a 👏door 👏when 👏you 👏leave 👏
Violette's story resonates on many levels, and the clarity with which she articulates it is amazing.

Such a good interview..
This is a very candid conversation. Kudos to Karol for her sincerity and vulnerability. Nimejifunza mengi.
Good interview but what is with the sitting posture?
This was our very first interview - and a proper lesson in how not to do things 😅 One day the host will explain. That said, thank you for watching and for your feedback! Your time is appreciated.
I recall being a panelist with Mageria on a show at the Nation Centre studios around that period. Off camera he shared his bitterness with the major Kenyan broadcasters on their shortsighted, arrogant and haughty dismissal of Riverwood, and local TV production in general. Must have been the time NMG closed down QTV and QFM
Another great episode. Keep them coming
Finally... Failure Effect Is Here.🎉 You have really tortured us you know Wayua,. Failure Effect sessions are our therapy/resilience/eye opening sessions..
The wisdom nuggets from Abel the MC are coming fast and hard 😮 1. Seasons change, and if you are not careful you lose something 2. Don't hold onto friendships that are completely done lest you become a victim 3. Social media following matters, there are people watching your profile. Professionals work with a profile that has traction. 4. Know how to handle your friends. Adaptability of seasons is important
Heeeey happy new year. I love the new look 🎉
