At the church I used to go to, there was a 91 year old man named Howard. He told me one story, about surviving a sinking battle ship or frigate. Some of them slipped into the water, already dead from Hypothermia, as they waited for rescue on a raft. I really wish I had spoken to him more, and heard a few more of his war stories.

What I don't get is, why weren't we taught all of this while we were in school? It was only 20 years before my school years, yet nothing was said. We just had haunted grandads who wouldn't/couldn't talk to us so we thought they were weird. We hadn't realised they went through this shit. And, when you look around you at the world today... what the hell did they do it for? They must be turning in their graves. And there must only be a couple of them left by now... the last survivors must be over 100 years old by now.

Had a Family Friend die in Enduring Afghan Freedom, he was a 75th ranger SGT. Based my community on him as a role model.

Thank you very much for your upload. We, our generation, and the next to come should never cease to acknowledge them, the greatest generation. We owe them this freedom and privileges that we're enjoying now, that sadly, some abuses for not knowing that somebody's life was sacrificed for it. My Dad, my Uncle and a cousin were all USAFEE veterans, the latter are both Bataan Death March survivors. Both are PTSD victims too.
