Whatever the mike used, all of these vocal takes have piercing sibilance that would need tons of de-essing, lack mids presence, and an ugly boxy buildup around 260Hz. Sonically not great takes at all, and certainly not a good way to make the vocals or any of these mics shine. You need a better mixing guy/gal.

It would be interesting to compare the Neumann BCM 705 with the Sennheiser MD 431. To me, these two microphones sound somewhat similar, although I have never compared them directly against each other.

they all sound virtually the same and i'm listening in good headphones, except the MD series maybe slightly more prominent in highs and not in a good way. but even the e835 sounds exactly like 935 from another video i checked, so what's the point of getting anything other than 835?
