@@CAGYT1 you can start by looking at the base of the cylinder and see if there is a new green gasket but also not a tell tale sign that it’s rebuilt you could also pull your exhaust off and look into the cylinder and see how much scoring there is on the piston and you could get a compression tester from Harbor freight they are fairly cheap and check the compression just a couple of things you can check and hopefully you love your new to you 2 stroke 2 stroke forever 🇺🇸🦅🤟🏼

thank you so much man appreciate this, i can see green gaskets and will have to take exhaust off soon because it has a leak, few other problems too, today was going to start it i kicked it over and then the kickstart locked up, i removed left side casing and manually moved flywheel and it worked, dont know how it happened tho, also the trans oil is milky and white so need to change that.

@@SKIN_DOGG_INCalso kickstart came flying off the bike some how and it won’t stay on 🤣 ordered new one so should be all good after that!

@@CAGYT1 no problem brother and that definitely sounds like 2 stroke stuff lol and be careful with the white milky oil that means you probably have to redo your water pump seal. I have a video of me doing it on my CR 250 on my channel if you want to check it out it’s almost the same. 🇺🇸🦅🤟🏼

No, I haven’t had any issues with it. It’s been working flawlessly. I have about 2 1/2 maybe three hours on my bike and it’s been amazing. I’m hoping to put out a video soon and I’ll do some more review about it and talk more about the bike, thank you for the comment 🤟🏼🇺🇸🦅

My piston just went out of spec and was about to throw the rings one of them seized up and messed up my cylinder a little bit just take off that top end brother and check it wish I would have done it good luck tho bro beautiful bike

Actually, yes, he did in the late 90s and early 2000s he did ride Hondas actually in the early 2000s Jesse James from West Coast choppers was building him custom Honda CR 250s from the ground up there some of my favorite bikes of all time and thank you for the comment 🇺🇸🦅🤟🏼

As of right now, I don’t have any recommendations on suspension. I’m actually trying to look into getting some new suspension for myself maybe brows eBay you might be able to find a used rear shock that’s been rebuilt maybe or some aftermarket ones maybe

@@SKIN_DOGG_INC yep, bought a rebuilt SHOWA pulled straight from a 97 for $170 on ebay. Hopefully it gets me goin. good luck!

It could be, but I did have the right side casing off to redo the water pump seals and that one looked fine. I haven’t pulled off the stater side yet, but the bike is running awesome as of now.

Yes, thank God it’s a two-stroke way easier and way cheaper that’s why I love them and I reused the cylinder the last time it blew up and just got a new piston and rings. I’m pretty sure that was its demise but we’re going to see how bad it is in my tear down video that’s coming soon And on the rebuild, we will be using all brand new parts

@@SKIN_DOGG_INC Oh yeah definitely reuse the cylinder. If needs a hone then do it. I meant like not reusing old bearing, gaskets and C-clips. Ill tune in once you post.
