Funeral Service for James Theodore Graham 15 December 2024
James Theodore Graham, 89, of New Boston, TX was granted his heavenly reward on 9 December 2024. At home with his bride of 61 years, he slipped away quietly into eternity. He was born in the Red Bayou Community at his grandmother’s home on 23 May 1935. He was the only son of Theo and Bessie Kestler Graham. He graduated from New Boston High School in 1953, and left for the A&M College of Texas where he would graduate in 1957 with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force upon graduation, he would earn his degree as a meteorologist from Oklahoma A&M University while serving at Tinker Air Force Base in Enid, OK. When he departed the Air Force as a Captain in 1960, he spent time In Pennsylvania with the Frick Corporation before coming back to Houston and meeting his wife. They would return to New Boston on 1 April 1966 as she took a job with Red River Army Depot and he, to start his own business, Graham’s Appliance Co. What started out as an appliance sales business, quickly turned to an HVAC service company, and he would service the surrounding area for 30 years. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to invest in numerous businesses in town, ranging from Triple T Food Mart, Taco Delite, I-30 Storage, Vantage Apartments, and Aspen Apartments. He divested his appliance business in 1993, using the funds to purchase New Boston Concrete from the James Duffer family. He invested his business acumen and years of experience into this new endeavor with the exuberance of a much younger man. With the help of his family and many capable employees, the company has expanded into the Texarkana market as well as the Caddo Mills area. Yet as successful as his enterprises have been, the legacy that he leaves behind is the trail of men who have gone into business for themselves and continue to provide for their families with life lessons learned as employees of his companies and from his leadership. He invested heavily in the human resources of New Boston, leading Boy Scout Troop 36 for many years with his dear friend Les Hosman. He passed on his love of outdoor adventures as he took groups of young men to the mountains of Colorado to ski, to Cimmaron, New Mexico to hike and camp at Philmont Scout Ranch, to Mena, AR for Camp Pioneer and the Rich Mountain Hike, and even in the cold, dreary months of March to Lake Millwood to fish. In his twilight years, he found a new passion as a gentleman farmer, tending to the Williams Bend property on the Red River. He raised cattle, cut timber, harvested pecans, and spent his days enjoying God’s creation. His family’s involvement at Tapp Methodist Church is now into its fourth generation. As a member of the Upper Room Sunday School Class, he has been a teacher, a participant, and a benefactor of many special relationships. His success in his earthly life is a direct reflection of his faith in God and dedication to His commands, decrees, and laws. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister-in-law Sandra Gross Hamby and her husband Ronald Otis Hamby. He is survived by his wife and their three sons, Tim and Christina Graham of New Boston, Todd and Shanna Graham of Rockwall, and Terry and Amanda Graham of New Boston. Grandchildren, Shelby Graham of Dallas, Tyler Graham of Lake Tawakoni, Jaxson Allen of Fayetteville, AR, Travis Graham of Dallas, Trent Graham of College Station, and Ella Graham of Fayetteville, AR. Two nephews, Curtis Wilson and Shannon Hamby of Victor, ID, Lane Mitchell Hamby of Schulenburg, TX, and a niece Allison Hamby Allen of Waco and their children, Candace Hamby, Georgia Grace Hamby, Hudson Hamby, Lydia Allen, and Toby Allen.

We will continue our thirteen-part series on Psalms this week with Lesson 10, and the reading this week will be from Psalm 51. This Psalm has been in the making for nine months. David has had the opportunity to think about his sin of adultery with Bathsheba, his sin of murder with Uriah the Hittite, and when Nathan the prophet brings the sins to light, David is forced to deal with them. Under M...

We will continue our thirteen-part series on Psalms this week with Lesson 9, and the reading this week will be from Psalm 146. From this Psalm, we learn that God is the Creator. Any God great enough, wise enough, and strong enough to create and sustain and run this universe can take care of our problems. We learn that He is the Judge. We will continue our thirteen-part series on Psalms this week with Lesson 6, and the reading this week will be from Psalm 95. The Psalmist today is addressing our worship. Our goal of worship should be to enter more fully into God's rest on the Sabbath. There is a reason that the observance of the Sabbath is included in the Ten Commandments; it is important to God that we fully rest on this day...

We will continue our thirteen-part series on Psalms this week with Lesson 7, and the reading this week will be from Psalm 19. Many people complain about the silence of God today, but this Psalm reveals that we may be uncomfortable with divine silence. As I arose this morning, it was to the rising of the sun. It has risen like this every day this week, much like it has for thousands of years. Th...

We will continue our thirteen-part series on Psalms this week with Lesson 3, and the reading this week will be from Psalm 23. The Psalm that we are most familiar with is this one because it is read at more funerals and graveside services than any other. Yet ironically, it has more to do with living than with death. If we look to our shepherd, Jesus Christ, we lack nothing. We are content, we ha...

Want to go in the Rapture? - Believe the FULL WORD OF GOD. The Bridegroom who is the “WORD” (John 1:1 + 14) will marry a “WORD” Bride, NOT a denominational bride: Due to men (down the last 2,000 years) adding to and subtracting from the Word of God, (often due to ignorance) the pure Word of God as the Apostles knew it had to be “RESTORED”. The Lord Jesus Christ must REMAIN in Heaven until the times of RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS……. Acts 3:20 + 21. 20. And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21. Whom the heaven must receive until the times of RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. The word “RESTITUTION” means “RESTORE.” The Lord stated that He would send HIS END TIME PROPHET to “RESTORE” the Word of God, as the Apostles knew it. Matthew 17:11. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elijah truly shall first come, and RESTORE ALL THINGS. The Lord stated that He would send His End Time Prophet in THIS DAY. Malachi 4:5. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet BEFORE the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. This Elijah prophet comes BEFORE, “The coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord,” which happens in THIS DAY. To recieve the Lord we MUST receive the MESSENGER who the Lord sends as the messenger is given the necessary understanding of the Word of God: John 13:20. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth WHOMSOEVER I SEND receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. We are now living in the last days, God has kept His word and sent His prophet, thereby “RESTORING” His word to His Bride. God has raised the dead on FIVE occasions through His chosen vessel. God was photographed SIX times, (Veiled in the form of the Pillar of Fire) with His chosen vessel. www.williambranhamstorehouse.com/pdf_downloads/the%20supernatural%20halo%20photograph.pdf The, “Elijah anointing,” (Concerning the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ) is used “TWICE” at each “Coming of the Lord.” John the Baptist`s ministry fulfilled Isaiah`s prophecy: Matthew 3:3. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. John, “Prepared the way for the Lord,” John did NOT “Restore anything,” as that which would need to be restored, (The full understanding of the whole Bible,) had not yet been given. th-cam.com/video/0Ax-wN1lpn4/w-d-xo.html
Bringing to remembrance what was spoken by the prophets through the Spirit 1 Thessalonians 2/4 the one opposing and exalting himself above everyone which is called of God or any object of veneration, so as to sit as if God in the Temple of God, displaying himself that he is God. 5 Do you not remember that, while still being among, I told you these things? Matthew 24/14 And this gospel of the Kingdom will be proclaimed in all the inhabited world with a view to a testimony to all the nations. And then the end will come. 15 'When, therefore, you see the Abomination of Desolation, which was spoken of through the agency of the prophet Daniel, standing in the dedicated place Daniel 9/24 'Seventy sevens are determined for your people and for your set apart city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sin offering[Heb9/14-18], and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in the righteousness of the eons, and to set a seal on vision and a prophet, and to anoint the most holy one. 25 'Know therefore, and understand, that from the issuing of the command to restore and to build Jerusalem[Jeremiah29/10,16], until Messiah the prince, there will be 7 sevens, and 62 sevens. The plaza will be built again, and the narrow street, during times of affliction. 26 'And after the 62 sevens Messiah will be cut off, but with no sign of anything for himself. Then a people of the coming prince will destroy the city and the Sanctuary. But his own end will come with a flood, [lamentations4/19-20, Jeremiah46/6-9,47/1-5] and until the full end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he[9/24] will make a covenant with the many for one 7, and in the middle of that 7 he will cause to cease the sacrifice and the offering. Daniel 11/31 And arms will be rounded up by him, and they will defile the Sanctuary fortress[object of veneration called of God], and they will take away the daily sacrifice[Zephaniah 1/7-18], and they will put in place the abomination that causes desolation. Lamentations 4/19 Our pursuers were more swift than the eagles of the skies; they hotly pursued us on the mountains; they lay in wait for us in the wilderness. 20 The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Yahweh, was captured in their pits; of Him we said, 'In His shadow we will live among the nations.' Job 33/29 Hear now, El works all these things with a man two or three times, 30 to bring back his life from the sepulchre, to be enlightened with the light of the living. Psalm 23/4 And even though I might walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no malevolence, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they gently lead me. 5 You prepare right in front of me a table, in the presence of my enemies; You anoint by smearing with oil my head; my cup overflows. Micah 6/9 Yahweh's voice cries out to the city and those of true stability will regard Your name: 'Hear the staff and Him Who appointed it. Isaiah 10/5 'Woe to Assyria! The rod of My anger and My indignation is the staff in their hand. Habakkuk 1/5 Look among the nations and observe and wonder with astonishment, for I will perform a work in your days you would not believe if it were told. 6 For, look now, I raise up the Chaldeans, a bitter and hasty nation, who will March through the breath of the land, to possess places of habitation not theirs. Jeremiah 38/2 'Yahweh says this: He who remains in this city will die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, but he who goes out to the Chaldeans will live. For he will have his life for a prey, and he will live. Habakkuk 3/5 A pestilence went before Him and burning coals went out from His feet. Habakkuk 2/20 But Yahweh is in His appointed Temple; let all the Earth hush; keep silence before Him.' Habakkuk 3/6 He stood and measured the Earth; He looked and caused the nations to shake, and the mountains of old were shattered; the ancient hills bowed down - His ways are age-long. Ezekiel 3/12 Then the Spirit took hold of me, and I heard behind me a sound of a mighty rushing, saying, 'Exalted be the magnificent splendour of Yahweh from His place! Habakkuk 3/13 You came out for the salvation of Your people; for salvation with Your anointed You dashed in pieces the head from the house of the lawless by stripping him from foot to neck - Selah - Ezekiel 7/20 As for the beauty of His ornament, He set it in majesty, but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things in it, therefore have I set it far from them, 21 and I will give it into the hands of the foreigners for plunder, and to the lawless of the land for a loot, and they will profane it. 22 "I will turn My face from them, and they will pollute My secret place, for robbers will enter into it and defile it. Ezekiel 7/27 The king will mourn, and the prince will be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land will be troubled. I will do to them in keeping with their own way, and in keeping with their judgments I will judge them, and they will know that I am Yahweh." ' Ezekiel 29/21 "In that day I will cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud, and I will give you the opening of the mouth in their midst, and they will know that I am Yahweh." ' The one opposing and exalting himself above all that is called of God is Judah Jeremiah 44/11 Therefore Yahweh Sabaioth says this, Elohim of Israel: 'As you will see, I will set My face against you for calamity, and to destroy all Judah. So in Layman's term the prince of the covenant will be kill by a group of people organized by Judahites the robbers will enter in it, to sit as if God in the Temple of God. But they will be utterly destroyed some time after the abomination happens likely the start of the 1,290 days and 1,335 days once Messiah is cut off Matthew 24/43 But know this: that if the master of the house had intuitively known in which watch the thief was coming, he would have been on guard and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 On account of this, you also must become ready, for the Son of Man comes in an hour you do not expect. 45 'Who, then, is the faithful and wise servant whom his master has made ruler at the head of his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Joyful is that servant whom his master, in his coming, will find doing this. 47 Truly I say to you, he will make him ruler in charge of all his property.[John 16/13-16] Hosea 6/9 And as gangs of robbers lie in wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the road by consent, for they commit lewdness. Ezekiel 7/22 "I will turn My face from them, and they will pollute My secret place, for robbers will enter into it and defile it.
Love your sermon.
When you cannot be in person in Church, it is wonderful to bring the Church to wherever you are! Thank you for that blessing.
Be confident in Your Faith. Not sure God is sitting on His throne. I think He is on the move. Good sermon.
