I miss watching television and playing video games on my parents old 19" Hitachi TV model MT 220. I really miss that little wooden frame CRT television set.

Been to the store recently and enjoyed it but was unable to get a good look at the wall of games. Are people able to go behind the counters there and get a hands-on closer look at all the games there?

MY FRIEND HAD ONE - It was so cool to play back in the day.

I used to work at Best Buy and we had an e-waste recycling program where people could drop off electronics for recycle. Well some guy brought this in and recycled it. The customer service girl working at the time accepted it and put it behind the counter. She didn't know what it was. So I see it and I start freaking out and my boss demanded I throw it away. He refused to listen to reason, didn't wanna hear it. I played it for a week in my back repair area at the time; it was in perfect condition with the box too. I begged him and promised I wouldn't sell it if he just let me take it because it's part of history and he refused. Literally made me throw into an e-waste bin to get shredded. I'll never forgive him. Truly an evil man.

Paid 20 quid for one of these from our local supermarket when they came out.

When I was young, the doctor had one of these in the medical exam room to help us calm down before the exam.

The console, controller and overlay looks to be in excellent shape.

We had one in the mid 80's with a colour monitor and external data cassette tape player for tape games, was great, but sadly put in the loft then thrown away by my dad as we got older.

I always feel sorry that these cars were never played with. A ten year old boy - for who they were made for , probably doesn't care how much they are worth. I still have several of my old matchbx cars and they are scratched and bang up literally. For example i have a 1965 ford firechief that is so beat up and faded and my brother set it on fire; I cherish it. Wouldn't think of restoring it.
