Well as you might have noticed, I was only doing 33 damage at the most on the ticks, not 50 so that right there is a massive damage deficit to what you deal. Also framerate plays a massive part in Pierce damage for Monster Hunter World. Higher smoother framerate means your ticks happen quicker and more consistently (I’m playing at around 200 fps during this fight). The only “cheats” I’d agree with you that I’m using would be my armor mod, no game altering cheats were used, but have your opinion if you’d like.

Also not to be petty here but, if you want to individually count every damage tick I deal to him, they would add up to 52500 damage like his HP. This run took me over a year of perfecting my gameplay against him, take a look at older runs on my channel, my first run against Alatreon was 10 minutes because he was brand new and no one knew how to fight him. I can easily react to everything he does now, but the run won’t be fast if he gives me bad AI. Heck, I have a 3’28 run I’m sitting on because I want faster but it’s hard, you need perfection to get close to 3’20. Since you are playing on Xbox, you genuinely can’t compare anything you do to a PC run, you will always be slower because of how framerate plays a role in the game. Yes this is a mod. Anything on the PC version that console doesn’t have is most likely a mod!

In very few situations but typically no, Rapidfire uses quite a bit of the gauge unfortunately so it’s mostly not worth it.

It feels pretty good but the damage is lacking in the beta currently. I don’t think that’s a huge problem though, since they limited the ammo selection and made the recoil pretty high.

lol I didn’t even notice until now. 😂 although I don’t think it matters because adding more Attack Boost doesn’t do much anyway. But yeah I didn’t need Ammo 3, it’s probably for the status ammo but I didn’t need to use them.

I don’t have enough ammo to only use one element so I swap, I try to focus Ice on the head as it does the most damage but if my line up isn’t good to get multiple hits, I use water as it does less damage

It makes it so that might seed and demon powder last the entire run. It’s a sizeable difference because reapplying is pretty slow and not rebuffing loses a good amount of damage at the end!

@@yee5012 ah okay. Speedruns typically use them because you gain almost 8% more damage over time so on a 5 minute run, I'd cut off 18 seconds which is pretty huge for just a quick buff.

Razor Sharp/Spare Shot is the set bonus for Xeno’jiiva’s armor and there is a talisman. True Razor Sharp/Spare Shot are from Nargacuga’s set bonus and Fatalis’ set bonus.

Pierce Lv3 always wins if you get the same luck with no down time. The problem with Aquashot is getting consistent openings for reloads.

Of course, although Alatreon is typically guaranteed to fly no matter what. It’s slower to get him out of the air with status rather than just attacking.

He gets stuck in a transition loop by where I take him, therefore I can freely damage him until he is ready for the final area. Saves the time you would lose to bad AI

Thank you! The reason I tenderize in one clutch claw attack is from the Skill Clutch Claw Boost, it makes ‘light’ clutch weapons act like heavy ones so they tenderize in one attack. As for tips, just know your openings for shooting and reloading. Never do a slow reload unless you know you have time for it without getting hit!

2 Close Range up is 25% more damage while close and since I was close to him the whole run, I benefited from it.

TA stands for time attack, it’s a specific rule set determined by the community for competitive runs.

You gain nothing in terms of dps by going Power Barrel. I go normal reload for consistency and safety. Normal reload vs Slow reload are about the same speed but Normal reload just makes the run easier. Also Alatreon is a big enough target that Power Barrel won’t necessarily help at all since his head to body to tail are all a weak point once tenderized.

I don’t know honestly lol, might do a couple different runs on Iceborne but not sure. I’m considering a full playthrough of Rise but I personally don’t like the grind on Rise.
