I love the honesty of your videos. The "rookie mistake" comment had me laughing.
thanx 4 the video God bless you and your birds
Good videos! What telemetry are you running?
I love Bonnie & Clyde
how many of you are at camp Steve
There were four falconers, but two (Jeremy and Rick) pulled out today. Dave is due in later today, so we will be at three falconers (myself, Dwight, and Dave) for the next few days.
👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏿🙏🏿🌷🌷🇸🇦🇸🇦
Thought you lost them there for a minute Steve had to use a back up transmitter on that bird
I do have a back up, old school, transmitter on him, but I didn't have to use it. I did however have to connect the pocket link for my GPS transmitter to the roof mount antenna.
Really enjoy your videos… my girl just dropped her last train and primary feathers so hopefully I’ll be back in the field soon also
Good luck in the coming season. What is your primary quarry?
Greeting from Saudia Arabia The land of falconery I just joined your channel, enjoyed your vloggs... Loved your birds 👍👍🙏🙏🌹🌹🇸🇦🇸🇦💯💯
Been waiting since last year for Grouse camp so glad it’s here. Great video, Clyde is always a blast to watch!
Great day!, thanks Steve
thanks Dave good luck at grouse camp
Love this!
I agree with the first commenter, it's nice to see a Long Winger's Channel worth watching.
I love your video so much
Pretty cool that you're taking us with you on your hunts, thank you! 😎🦅🎥👍
Sorry, I forgot to put the weight of the grouse in the video. It weighed 76 ounces (2155 grams).
Congratulations Steve. the quality of your videos is REALLY improving nicely. Love watching them.
Thanks, I really appreciate hearing that.
Great video 👍
big surprise thanks for sharing
我觉得您的隼,是不是高度太低了!导致速度不够,所以捕猎失败;
Awesome!🏆
Can't wait for new hawking videos!🥴👍
let the good times roll
Outstanding Steve . Here is a great recipe from another falconer in the UK perfect for your teal th-cam.com/video/TdLy_59NPGA/w-d-xo.html&si=gG3WQNY7trwkBBbE
When's grouse camp?
Headed there tomorrow, October 4.
@@American_Falconry have a blast, look forwards to the videos.
Love it!! My peregrine has 2 primaries and one train feather left to go… May start lure flying just to start getting her into shape… still 80’s here in Michigan
I've started birds that still have feathers to drop. They will usually drop at least one more set, so you should be good. Trying to fly birds when it's in the 80's however would be rough.
Man that bond must be so strong, all the memories. Very nice video, hope he still doing well.
Tons of great memories.
Love watching you hawking with your long wings !
Thank you.
Cool you don’t talk much or respond. I guess you must be really busy Steve.😅
Yea, the last week especially I have been pretty busy.
Very interesting following you for a while. 😊
Thanks, I appreciate that.
You mite knot no dis butt thar seaing is like too times bettar then human beans.
Tell Scott I said hello
another great day Dave
Just a quick quick question Steve, the baggie stuff I see you feeding the bird is that pre-weighed quail and if it is, what do you give the bird per flight just say an ounce 2 ounces of food
Yes, I pre-weigh their food. Clyde got 2.2 ounces of quail that day. Later in the season, when he is working harder, and it's colder he will get 3+ ounces.
This is a really good format, combining all these together so we can see the progress and mentality back-to-back. Nice work.
Great job Clyde and your flusher is one of the best greetings from California
Nice flight! I wish we had the landscape for long wings here in Georgia but I do love my follow on rabbit and squirrel hawking with my rt and Harris’s
Nice flight Steve! I’m in central Wyoming, getting my season revved up as well. Game populations are looking okay. Maybe we’ll meet in the field someday. I enjoy your videos!
很喜欢你得作品good
good one congrats!
Great start to the season.
so cool thanks for sharing he's happy
Thanks. Yep, the whole crew was happy, Clyde, myself and even the dog, Astro. As it should be.
Excellent start to season Steve👌
Thanks.
Glad to see you back! My peregrine is still molting.. she was doing great till I lost my Gyr/peregrine Beau this summer then she just stopped for about 3 weeks. Still #2 on each wing and both #5 on the train to go.. 🤞🏻 she gets with it lol
Glad to see you back Steve, currently getting my Aplomado and Perlin back in the swing of things.
welcome back Steve hope youmhave a great season.
Hey Steve thank you for posting . Just curious why you put Clyde on the camper top and walk away as opposed to walking him into the field and casting him off the fist? I am sure you have a good reason just wondered if that would help him from sitting and slowly extend flight time to try and break his sitting . I have never flown a Gyr, and I know they are really smart birds not as easy to manipulate as peregrines and prairies . I ask the question just to educate myself since I saw a guy in Kansas a few years back that also flew his Gyrkin off his truck . Thank you and good luck this season , look forward to following along .
I explain that at the 18:40 minute mark of this video. Basically it's a habit he picked up early in his life. I flew him in a cast with a female gyr x peregrine for his first three years, and he found it a bit crowded on the fist when I was casting them off. It's such a habit now that if I cast him off anywhere in sight of the truck he flies to it. If he can't see the truck, he flies to the nearest hill and starts from there.
Thank you Steve. Appreciate the reply and answer . I did see that in the video .
@@shanephitides8565 I prattle on quite a bit, so it's understandable how you could miss it. 😄
I’ll be ready end of September with two females gyr x peregrine and gyr x Barbary
My g/p has 2 more tail feathers to finish and then I'll be rolling too. This is always an exciting time of year
