    Excellent video, thank you very much for sharing. I also have the Seestar S50 and I have not been able to activate the mosaic mode to get the most out of the telescope. If you can give me any help or advice on what I should do, I would be very grateful.

      Hey you're my 100th subscriber! Thank you! You have a Seestar S50? Then all you have to do is hit the "framing" icon on the app when you're getting ready to image something and basically self-explanatory from there. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

      All you have to do is turn it on! It does all the work for you. If you want to align it with a star, just pick one and tell it to go to it and it will find it in the sky for you!

    It seems to me that you need to use ROI (region of interest) to improve camera speed and image stability. By using the full sensor size you are collecting tons of sky you don't want. But I'm just guessing.

    I think this is the best video I've ever produced. It demonstrates these amazing photos of star clusters, galaxies and nebulas that the Seestar S50 can capture for you. It also shows how with processing in Siril & Gimp, the different colors that can be brought out during post-processing as well. Look at the number of stars in these images. There's thousands of them! Come on people, give this video some love, some thumbs up, watch from beginning to the end, and subscribe to this channel for more amazing shots of the objects in the night sky!

    Maam i had a doubt, i just bought a Celestron nexstar 4se and a solar film but i m having a really hard time to find the sun? Whys that happening please help , even though i pointed my telescope right at it i still cant see the sun through my telescope.

    • @astrotherapist
      @astrotherapist 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First of all make sure you always use a sun filter when trying to find and look at the Sun. I have a Nexstar 4SE myself and will be using it exclusively for planetary imaging going forward. Are you trying to use it in Alt/AZ mode or EQ mode? With Nexstar SE telescopes you can use it both ways. Are you using the hand control that comes with it? That should slew the scope to whatever object you want. It might be off by a little, but that's when you need to use your finder scope to find the object. That's why I use an "old fashioned" finder scope, one with cross hairs vs a laser guided finder scope. Since there's so much danger in attempting to find the Sun, I would suggest wait 'til the moon is visible at night and use that as your first target. Have more questions? Feel free to ask and I'll answer them for you to the best of my ability to do so.

    Very impressive images from a Nexstar 4se. I have the same telescope so I can say that the images you have are superior and Neptune and Mars were startling especially in light of the small aperture. The work required to produce these results for all the planets shown was truly impressive for a 4 inch aperture. One of the hardest accomplishments is to get a clear separation from the 4 inch Nexstar of the Cassini division because the resolution needed is tough to get without a Nagler eyepiece or an equivalent. Still, it's a tough goal to demonstrate through astrophotography and your images are really superior for all planets especially having familiarity with the scope you are using makes me appreciate your results here. Good luck and keep at it.

      Hi thanks for your comment and thanks for subscribing to my channel. I'm waiting for Jupiter to get out from a huge tree in my backyard so I can try a 3x Barlow lens on it and see if I can focus the camera. LOL! If not, I'll have to purchase a 2x Barlow lens as the one I was using broke last year. Boo hoo. I actually thought my focus on these planets sucked, so I appreciate your compliments. Since you are subscribed now, please ring the notification bell so you can tune in when I do live stream videos. Look forward to seeing you in the near future!

      When I went to my first outdoor events at our local Astronomical Society and saw images similar to yours from Celestron and Meade 8" and 9.25" aperture Schmidt Cassegrain scopes on very sturdy mounts, no wanted me to see what their work looked like. Here, I was wow, you got three of Jupiter's moons too and Saturn's Cassini division (almost). Everyone of these experienced amateur astrophotography hobbyists was embarrassed because there images didn't look like the Hubbell or from Voyager or New Horizons. Okay, I didn't get it then but they knew I was in government remote sensing and they were friendlier with the IRS supervisor who belonged to the Society than I and he was afraid I would arrest them for using an illegal laser pointer (crime in their own minds only). Not one had ever gotten Neptune ever with much larger scopes. I went 6 times all night with around 30 scopes in operation so I know because I insisted on looking through everyone's scopes which they told me ahead of time was something they wanted to share. Not true I can tell you because literally no amateur astronomer wants to be scrutinized by a professional which wasn't why I was there. Your images are very good especially from a 4" aperture. If you want more resolution I suggest a modestly priced "Orion Edge-On Planetary Eyepiece Expansion Set". You see, you'll get Eye Relief of 20 mm included on each 14.5mm, 9mm, or 5mm eyepieces that are included. The 5 mm should give you better images or resolution than any Barlow and have a "flat field design" so your focus is sharp and undistorted up to the edge of the field of vision. Very little distortion or curvature with these lens which cost a fraction of my favorite Nagler lens but do a great job for less. Maksutov Cassegrain designs are a favorite of mine but it's very difficult to find any larger than 7 inch which is also a powerful scope outperforming the 9.25" Schmidt Cassegrain designs. Eyepiece choice is important as are filters especially for lunar viewing where it's too bright but there are literally books written about using lens and filters to best advantage. If you're considering a 3x Barlow you either get a decent one, say Celestron or Orion, or upgrade to a Powermate by Televue. It's different from a Barlow because despite the superficial similarities of doubling, tripling, or quadrupling the magnification the Powermate unlike the Barlow is composed of a negative doublet plus a positive pupil correcting doublet. So it's a 4 element system that provides the magnifying specifications of a Barlow but it is free of the limitations. It works this way by restoring the field rays back to their original direction as if the Powermate wasn't there. Only going through a side by side comparison are the benefits clearly appreciated and dealers that carry both will let you try them out. We had to drive almost a thousand miles for me to check out optical equipment prior to buying. Fortunately, the dealer was told to expect me and he was very helpful. I too was helpful as I bought all the lens I was wanting but needed to verify their performance. If possible, check the optics out before buying especially if you plan to buy after inspection. There's only a handful of dealers that have both the inventory easily available and personnel to help you get what you want but it's worth the trouble if you are looking for serious upgrades.
