Battle of Hastings Explained Like Never Before!
On 14 October 1066, the Battle of Hastings, fought against the army of Harold Godwinson, the last of the Anglo-Saxon kings, was the decisive event in the conquest of England by William, Duke of Normandy. The Bayeux Tapestry, with its innumerable detailed pieces embroidered on linen cloth, is a unique representation of one of the greatest battles of the Middle Ages.
