I am genuinely pissed off, the old one is so much nostalgia for me and one of the main reasons i fly easyJet. I first thought this was a joke from April fools but nope 😢
I couldn't agree more. The old voice was always a highlight of a trip on easyJet. It had a calm, reassuring and relaxed tone. The new one is brash and loud with poorly pronounced words. I mentioned this to the canin crew who also wished for the old one back.

@@sSteppingStones I can't see any reason why it was necessary. Surely not just for the sake of an update? I think that if you don't like a voice, you're not likely to listen to the words it says.
Yeah the old voice was much better. This sounds so robotic and not welcoming.

sadly its not, its on all the fleet now as well as the new boarding music. i mean i dont mind it that much although the voice is a bit loud in my opinion

It sounds dead inside. I thought it was a text-to-speech generated voice at first, but apparently it's a real voice... The old one was so much better, warm and welcoming.

It’s real - I use to be ezy crew and this came in just after I left. It’s horrendous; the company decided to save money by deciding to ask one of their own crew to record it for them… bring back Phil Gayle!!!!

what were those warnings on the ECAM?
I accidentally pressed a toggle button on my joystick that I binded along time ago to reverse thrust. The other warning was my auto throttle going off when I idled the throttle.
