I own the same t shirt you have on.
Would you have been able to go down on the actual ice for a photo if you wanted?
Headed up to hike the Kesugi Ridge Trail next week with 16 Scouts and 6 Leaders. Thanks for the preview, looks awesome!
Yeah! You did win the backcountry lottery alright! Thanks for the pan.
wow what great video and commentary. I'm off in August to do the same. Your narration was excellent and the photography wonderful
Thanks Nigel! Enjoy your trip let me know if you have any questions.
Awesome video
Is east to west i.e camp day 1 at chileno and follow the route to Frances or curenos for day 2 and do the French valley and camp at Paine grande day 3 and do grey and mirador Gray day 4? What would you suggest east to west or west to east
Can you camp anywhere, or only in designated areas
You can only camp in designated areas with TDP
what month was it
November, pretty early season I'd recommend Dec-Feb
These trails look too muddy for my liking, thanks for showing us the views. I just got to Ushuaia from Chalten, the weather wasn't as good so the mountains were a bit shy.
Outstanding beautiful place 💙
Great video ! Thank you
Really informative!
very good video, but very bad pronunciation of Spanish, especially the letter r hahaha.
Thank you for very useful and informative video. This exactly what i am looking for.
Thanks for the great itinerary recommendations! Since you can take the Lago Grey boat direct to the Lago Grey campground, I'm curious why you recommend taking the boat to Paine Grande instead? Boating to Lago Grey would avoid the backtracking from Grey back to Paine Grande.
Hey! I honestly didn't know of the ferry that drops off directly at Refugio Grey, that might be new since I went or I didn't figure that out. Logistically for the W I think starting at Refugio Grey makes a lot of sense nice catch!
nice video, thanks for sharing. its pronounced keen-eye though ha ha
appreciate it! I'm notoriously bad at pronouncing things lol
Amazing job Andy! ❤
Excellent video. I have watched many videos about the TdP hikes and yours is by far is the most valuable in regards to planning and efficiency. My daughter and I are going to do a motorcycle adventure ride from Santiago, Chile to Ushuaia, Argentina toward the end of the year. We want to spend 1 and perhaps 2 days maximum hiking in the park. Is it possible to see the Mirador de Las Torres and Glacier Gray if we only have 2 days to do it?
Hey thanks for the comment! Glad you liked the video. You definitely can do the Mirador de las Torres as a day hike. Either get a campground at Hotel Las Torres or El Chileno then hike up to the mirador and back down. Check out the Mirador Condor as a quick day hike with amazing view. Glacier Gray is also possible to see from day hikes around the park...or you could do a day tour from Paine Grande. your trip sounds amazing! check out my book Trekking Patagonia A guide to your own adventure for more info I have on hikes in El Chalten and Ushuaia.
LAGUNA AMARGA
ahhh should i i go on Late March??? Im worried i might die from i dont know, cold and wind... because i'll be doing it soo .
Hi! Great video! I have one question and hope you can help me. Do you think it is possible to hike in one day from camping las torres to camping paine grande but then leaving out mirador britanico? So leaving out most part of the french valley.
Hey yes I think it would be possible but a long day. Probably about 10-12 hours on the trail depending on your pace. Depending on time of year just the amount of daylight could be a factor. Starting very early, and having Camp Italiano as a backup could work.
I appreciated the visuals but the pronunciation of Paine and other names was pretty brutal to hear. Still overall a useful video. All the best
Sorry about that! Hope the content was helpful enough.
Hi! :) Your video is very good and it helped me a lot!! I would like to ask how I can follow the boat trip that goes from Pudeto to Guardería Paine Grande?
Hey can you clarify your question? What do you mean by follow the boat trip? Hope I can help
Do I need get permit in advance to get in Torres del Paine Natl park?
Looks like an amazing and beautiful trip. Thanks for sharing. 😍 I'd love to do this hike myself. I have a slight fear of hiking along edges with steep drop-offs. Your video appears to show your hike was not like that?
Thanks! I think this hike would be great for you cause there really aren’t any steep drop offs. Every hike has its danger but this one doesn’t have much of the steep drop off inches away that some do. Let me know if you have more questions and thanks for watching.
Hey! How does the permitting process work? We’re driving up to Washington right now (from Austin, TX) and will be heading to Olympic, then north cascades, then rainier. We’d really love to stay at Sahale Glacier campground!
Hey! We got walk in permits for the Sahale Campground at the ranger station. We got there really early, maybe an hour before it opened. You may not get a spot the night of, but you can stay one night somewhere else is Cascade Canyon then hopefully the next night you can stay up ok Sahale. Good luck!
Благодарю.всех вам благ...
Braddah it is Na Pali
Appreciate the correction! I've updated the title :)
Hi, what time of the year did you do the trek?
Hey! I was there right around this time of year, late May to early June.
Spectacular video! Feeling the good vibes and awe you experienced. Thanks for posting!
Hi, from Puerto Natales to Pudeto, do we buy our entrance tickets to the Park in Pudeto, or in Laguna Amarga? I heard the bus from Puerto Natales stops in Laguna Amarga first before Pudeto so I'm not sure where to buy the tickets to the park. Thank you!
Hey Mia. Yes the bus first stops at Laguna Armaga. It's a separate bus to Pudeto. When I went we were able to simply buy the second ticket on the bus. But it might be different now.
What time of year did you do this hike?
Hey Michelle, I did this hike in late July
How did y’all get back to the original trail head? Did you drive or take a shuttle?
Hey Jack. We had a local friend shuttle us. This is definitely a logistical challenge of doing this hike. The trail start and end aren’t too far away from each other off the main highway for a quick ride from a friendly passing car…
Hoping to do it soon. Any other hikes you did in the park? Or did you make it to any of the other Alaska parks?
Hey! The other hike nearby I did was up to Mount Marathon. Awesome day hike outside of Seward. I have a couple videos about two other Alaska hikes, the Crows Pass and Kesugi Ridge. Both were awesome hikes. Let me know if you got any questions.
@@afineadventure703 Sounds great I'll check them out.
Four Pass Loop / 3D th-cam.com/video/ULC-iNDaJPA/w-d-xo.html
Great video. Thanks for the info and the views. Did you have to have reservations for the refugios?
Hey Karen thanks for watching. Yes you have to have reservations in advance for the refugios. I made reservations at a few of the campgrounds but unless you are going in peak season they aren't necessary. Let me know if you have any other questions!
🤣 Promo'SM!
what month are you going
Hey Mariusz, I took this trip in Mid August
Not cool guys, droning after wildlife. That area is also Chugach St. Park, no drone flying, you crossed into that at the top of the pass.

Nicely done 👍
Awesome, I’ll be doing this trail next year 👍
Just hiked this today! Needless to say my legs hurt but the view was more than worth it.
That's awesome Eoghan! Such a great hike hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching
That glacier and views are amazing. We were supposed to visit Seward a year and a half ago. Thanks for sharing the scenery. Will be following!
Hey thanks for reaching out! Seward is amazing, hope you get the chance to visit.
Hello. Was this in early April? :-)
Hey Jonas, this was in June
It's crazy how fast the weather turned on you! Can't wait to hike the Teton Crest Trail this summer. How hard was it to get the camping permits?
Hey Peter! Yes it was crazy how fast that storm came in. Luckily my site was all set up. I got a "walk in" permit very early the day before my trip. I'd recommend getting to the ranger station 90 minutes before they open on the day BEFORE you go, that will be the best chance you get the best route. Let me know if you need any more help, and enjoy the tirp.
