Absolutely ripppppped the bowl bois
I drove by Copper on the way home from Utah to St Louis 2 days ago and saw a small patch of snow where that summer park used to be.
Where the hell is this?!
@@tonymountains copper
@@Nic5k I kiddin? Did you take that lift up or hike it?
@@tonymountains no joke can see line from highway just hike up and find it
got some serious vert outa that.
@@thecommission970 1,200’ vert delight
What months does ski seasons officially begin & end on?
@@thecommission970 in my book ski season ends in September and starts back up in October 🤘 when that new snow starts to stack and the pow is real
@@Nic5k I like that rule
O hell yea! I might keep this option in mind for future summers
Such a cool long line!
Thank you for cleaning the snow! It won't melt as fast!!
I wanted to get out on the 4th, but we had a show and couldn't do both. We went on the 8th.
Nice to be able to ski in July. My only July option on the east coast is Big Snow indoor skiing in NJ.
views look amazing in summer
surfing music is a good choice
skiing 4th of july is def having it your way!
Good seeing you up there
Epic day in an epic place
at 7:26, what kind of camera setup that moved when you started skiing?
That is the insta 360 camera you can choose any angle while editing
I assume you don't say where you are skiing because you don't want other people skiing there. If you don't want other people skiing there it would be best to not post videos at all, as it just inspires people to go skiing more and they'll probably end up on your lines eventually which will defeat your original intent. Also, you could turn comments off before someone else spills the beans.
Look kid, this TH-cam is all about personal backcountry archives I really can’t believe how many people watch these days. If I told everyone where every line I ski is there wouldn’t even be any parking for people who actually live here. I keep my lines secret no matter where they are in Colorado because 20 people or in a nightmare scenario 300 people at a trailhead is just a terrible thought. If someone can recognize the area with their own eyes then good on them. I’m not about to say names so hundreds of people hit a quick google search. Backcountry skiing should be all about exploring and adventure.
Exactly, perhaps that's why you should keep your "personal archives" in your computer and not show them to everyone on earth that has Internet access.
@@grizzkid795 watch them or not, it’s online for friends and family. Of the thousands of people that have seen these vids only a handful of people have ever known where any spot is so seems all good to me
Sweet turns..
Great tunes.
Love the video. Where was this at?
Odaroloc
Where?
One of Colorado’s peaks above 12k
Hey Now Love your shit Im a old cutblock bucket tipper from BC/Skibum light on the bum Pretended to do sled tours Money used to gro on trees Q you listening to snoop while makin those turns Dance with gravity brother
You are the man!!! Well done as usual. Living the dream!!!
So this is of the Golden Bear. I knew this looks familiar, but I could not put it together. Tell me what is the name of the peak on the Eastern side of the tunnel that slides a lot into the highway. That place is also famous. I know they drop explosives from the heli there.
DAMN.... I miss Colorado.................................. nice rippin. great snow coverage this season
Played 30 rounds of golf already here in Canada and you are still ripping turns in the alpine. Got to love it. 87 degrees today and little wind. Thank you for another great ski trip.
Congrats on doing the cornice jump, something I was never comfortable with!
Ptarmigan!
Is this one of Colorado peak's below 15k? 🤨
Yes. Others are above 15k.
This is Colorado’s highest peak. One of the famous 14ers aka the only peaks I will name on this channel 🤙
Hell yea nic! was a privilege to meet u on Blarneys, we ended up doing the same link up.
Yeah man!!! Was epic to finally see you in the flesh. Amazing time to be up there those 2 runs were best I’ve ever seen them big props on making the classy opening weekend link 🤘
Schwing
Holly shit that looked scary
Spooky, luckily it was slow moving :0
grateful dead disco!
How are the Blanks for touring? Been thinking of getting them for next season
Or are those 106?
Yeah man the blanks are my go to touring ski for the last 3 seasons, I put the Solomon shift binding on there so you can ski them all season (on resort). The 112 makes them super stable in all conditions. Reliable in hard pack and exceptional in pow. These skis are amazing highly recommended to anyone who values downhill skiing after a backcountry ascent. Personally I’ll never go ultralight, I’d rather get my legs stronger all year and ski an enjoyable setup
@@Nic5k thanks for the answer! And great video too
where!?!??!
This is one of Colorado’s peaks above 12k
@@Nic5k but which one lol
A nice line! Where is this?
This is one of Colorado’s peaks above 12k
Nice work man! We combined Missouri w/ the NW Gully on Belford. Such a fun, chill line
Epiiiic great access in that valley lots of neighboring tall peaks
Nice line!
Hell yea dawg! I went up there monday, stashed my shoes, spare shirt, & socks at the lake for the walk down. Got down, and all my shiz had vanished........ got to walk down in ski boots :( still had a great day tho.
Dang can’t believe that happened, mega walk out in those condtions. Glad you made it up high tho epic peak!!!
Best video of the winter. Where is this exactly? I hike mountains in Colorado and ski them, but I'm from NYC so I don't know every mountain.
Thanks for the kind words. To preserve the backcountry experience I’ll say these are two of Colorado’s peaks above 12k. If you can see it you can ski it
@@Nic5k Right. " to preserve". You have every right to tell me to go to hell, but when you asked me where I skied in another video I told you exactly where.
@@AW33COM yep because you recognized the zone I was skiing. So props, maybe you’ll see this zone one day and recognize it ;)
@@Nic5k Yeah. I live a half nomad live in winters where I fly there and setup camp somewhere remote. Then use the resort lift system to my advantage. Next year we will do a traverse from Mt. Julian to Berthoud Pass on skis to see that mountain range across Winter Park and do tons of Winter Park as well. But it never occurred to me to do what you do so late in May.
@@Nic5kI don think there is a risk of many people being as fit, motivated, and as prepared as you to access these places. I live deep in the CO mountains at an epic backcountry skiing area. But the truth is, most folks can barely scratch the surface. If the climb on skins is more than 2.5 hours most people can’t hang.
I was down in the basin and saw you come down that last run. Sweet line!
Awesome man glad you could witness that such a sweet zone!! Ripper fat
Amazing run! Love to see her technique improve so much.
That comment made her so happy thank you!! She’s killing it in the BC
Best song ever written!
Can’t thank you enough as well for all the great ski trips we joined you on.
Few more to come. Gonna hang up the skis 2nd week of June. Thanks the kind words and watching!
4:16 Don't go there. You can see the tension in the snow without even being there. Also, your skiing is super East-West, you will eventually trigger a big slide. You need instinct for back country. Knowledge is only 25% at best. Otherwise nice video.
looks fine to ski. That snowpack is mashed potatoes and the angle that they're skiing on probably isn't steep enough to trigger a higher R value wet slide. Wintertime with a deep slab issue? yea might be sketchy. Now? nah
LAWL!!!!
I just started skiing in CO this year, 24 glorious days, but you freaking inspire me to double that next year. And to start touring eventually! So blessed man I love to see it❤
Living the dream!
Too bad the sun wasn't out!
The clouds saved us that day even got a little fresh pow on the way down
@@Nic5k seemed real crusty on top. Noticed the white spray further down.
Sick. I need that. Fuck the Northeast. I need to be out. Permanently. What track is this?
It’s the best move!!! This is Big L and Jay Z 7 minute freestyle
How is the mountain during high tide?
I’m not sure I’ve only ever skied there in May when the lifts are closed. Base elevation 10k so I imagine pretty good
no face shots stolen but a steal your face sticker spotted
Hahaha got two mega faceshots in the tube was deeeeep!
