I’ve been to enough concerts to hear the big four live audio brands in action, L-Acoustics, Meyer Sound Labs, D&B Audiotechnik, and Cohesion Audio by Clair Global. I like all four for different reasons. If I could describe the pros of each system in 3 words each, it would be like this. L-acoustics: Forward, Bright, Satisfying (Cons: not the punchiest subs) Meyer: Clear, Clinical, Punchy (Cons: can be extremely harsh) D&B: Warm, Pleasing, Clear (Cons: strange midrange on some older models) Cohesion: Intense, deep, powerful. (Cons: tend to lack low mids: illusion of gap in frequencies between the subs and mains.)
So I play it and it sounds okay but how do I measure if my speakers are sounding correctly using pink noise?
I now own my Fathers A-7's he bought in '68. They need no fussing with me with effin software.. They with stay 16 olm, with no mods, and still kick the crap out of just about everything else made. Watching you work a keyboard was boring as F... Too bad no one got to hear the VOT.
Great video. You may not even notice a big difference here but you will when you get to mastering. With a shave and haircut with a clipper and nice high/lowpass filtering in mastering, all that console goodness might really come to life. Nice track too.
Love my Verona 560
what is the compressed gas for I saw many cylinders ? thanks
Confetti cannons and an effect that looks like blasting steam.
L-Acoustics
Sweet system dude!!!
City rumbling
What is the songs being used to test the subs and speakers?? I wanna try it on my subs/speakers systems!!
line array are the new gimmick...............you want some real speakers ...............get some Danleys
Hahahahahahah!!!
all that equipment to play that stupid azz robot sex music.............the funny thing is..........how do you know if you got the sound right ???? its not like you are trying to reinforce drums , guitar or piano.............its robot noises !!!!!................you could do the same thing with a pa from guitar center
The Siena 480 can be used in the same way?:)
I noticed some gas canisters. What are they for?
Haze or fog i think??
Pyro. Most likely upwards flame throwers. Fairly common at large EDM gigs.
such a nice setup!
the double 18 subs on the floor what are they?
KS28 it looks like
Anyone know the songg?
This is literally my dream audio setup. L' Acoustics Line Array & SUBS and the Avid VENUE S6L but the S6L-32D
I bet it sounds fantastic in person.
so good !!! lets get back to it!!!
zebbler nice
What subwoofers are you using
This is powerfull sound indeed
What you need to know and which is very important is that L Acoustics is only an assembler. The brand has never manufactured a single speaker (it's not JBL) and does not provide any information about the manufacturer of the speakers installed in its boxes. It seems that is the Italian brand B&C.
How does one know which speakers are in it and what the wattage is to run with the amps
Wonderful... But whats that remix of Darude Sandstorm Sir?
This is an impressive massive operation 👏🏽 👌🏼 🙌 👍
Does anyone know what the name of the song at the beginning was called, nice video btw!
Do you do training?
In my next life I wanna do this😂
😊my wish too
That's right. Big toys equals big noise. Nice video.
nice jobs😵😳😮hats off!!!! respect sir! By the way what brand are the other dual subs??
If I'm not mistaken, they seem like McCauley Sound.
@@koutalidism but they have Ford written em.🤔
Great walk through, thanks for the info!
the big problem with L Acoustics this marketing champion brand, is that it has never manufactured one loudspeaker and does not give the name of its supplier. On the other hand, the boxes are very well made. The problem is when you have to change a loudspeaker, the obstacle course. Finally, given the price it costs for assembly, I prefer to move towards JBL VTX (world best line array of the audio industry) or Adamson or very great RCF TT, it has nothing to compare.
Hello selam
I’d love to have a pair of them ! Bet they are Rockers turned up . Would like to hear them with regular music. Great Job ! 👍🇺🇸
Whenever i see a Pa hung like this i really question why. 8 pcs per side with the lowest literally being just a tiny notch above listening height. whenever people throw their arms in the air hf will be interfered with and in this scenario it certainly will even with people just standing in front of the stage.. when the room is full and foh does what they do to sound good on their postition the front row will literally be killed with hf. no processing in this world can correct that. even with the electronic correction enabled soundvision will show you that it's still too much. if there's no height to fly a pa properly then reduce the numbers of pieces and screw the last 10m in the room. however in this scenario there is even room above for the motors to drive so i question this setup even more and yes i know the audience is supposed to be seated but this doesn't prevent them from standing up....
@AudioGeekery would you recommend someone to buy a sc48 in 2023? I know support isn't best but they are still great consoles, I see them on alot of shows
Clean ones can be had cheap, so yes I would recommend if your not working the a list artists
Quick question, when doing side fills on stage, do u use an aux and treat it the same way as monitors or do u use the L/R out from the desk. Always curious about that. Thanks
Both!
Great question!
hey i saw this thing live! It's a pretty cool setup definitely
Your neighbor is a very lucky, and I am sure, a very happy person. Back in 1974 a friend had a pair of voice of the theater speakers in his system. Remarkable. I've always loved them and would love to have a pair of them myself. Thank You. They sound so good.
Клёва , научиться бы ещё работать со всем этим)))
Mast hai chacha
I'm curious why so many audio companies use L'Acoustics vs Meyer Sound, especially in the US. I've always understood Meyer to be the most high fidelity loudspeaker there is.
A big part of it comes down to availability. You can get L'Acoustics pretty much everywhere, while Meyer is a bit harder to find
I was always curious about tht as well. D&b audio seems to be great with way more power output but here in Canada I'm only seeing l acoustics, Eaw and Adamson
@@lenakolb3445 Ya but Meyer built in the US, and L’acoustics need to be shipped from France. Makes no sense to me
@@MixmasterMegz767 Same. Here in Toronto there is alot of Adamson, and L’acoustics. Im starting to see Danley and D&B as well.
@@StereoAnthony I heard Danley Th115 and 118 single driver horn loaded, and in my opinion none of the other companies dual subs comes close. But I would love to go to a place that demos all these different rigs. I'm a big fan of db technologies and d&b audiotechnik, different companies but that's the two I would love to hear side by side. Tho I see L acoustic on all ryders, I know there must be something else out there. I got nothing against L acoustic but seeing everyone with the same rigs and setups takes away the joy
Almost all "audiophiles" like to spend their time listening and cuddling with their extreme high fidelity systems. But me personally, THIS is what makes me feel alive for real. Big audio systems and showing the connections is very interesting.
amen brother
When the engineer is good.
What is the thought behind having the wedge orientation flipped on stage? Just trying to get more sound upstage?
Front fills
@@StereoAnthony they are pointed upstage though??
Great content mate - loved the video.
Saludos amigo desde mexico quisiera saber el proseso de elaboracion de esos bafles y el plano si fuera tan amable
Hello. I am giving a friend my Alter voice of the theater. It has been sitting in a closet for probably 25 yrs or more. She is in a band....beautiful voice. Whether this still works or not I'm not sure. Her hubby does "tinker" with electronics and wants to see what he can do to restore it.
😍
Super cool speakers! I love the design, it has that old industrial look took them. I have been reaching about the Voice of theater history and wanted to get for mixing Electronic Music (Minimal Majorly) Do you recommend these for that purpose? I saw a deal on eBay for A7 mini shipping from japan for $850.
