    The same safety concerns you have about the UK exist in the U.S. I always have to double and triple check locks in car and house. I have to hold my bag in front of me and always be aware of my surroundings. But when I lived in German, Italy, and Turkey I never worried about these things or walking alone at night.

    Love this, the part about not feeling loved and supported in a way you needed I definitely resonate with and this is the first time I’ve heard someone else speak about it. Is there somewhere I can find you speaking more in depth on that and how you navigated through it? ♥️

    I have an autistic son and I didn’t exercise or eat very well during pregnancy. Gained too much weight & commuted the whole 9 mo. I’ll never not wonder how much my choices played into his diagnosis. And this is why I love people like yourself spreading the message of health & fitness through life and especially pregnancy. 💙

    Thank you for this VERY detailed account of your experience. I am glad this gave you the breakthrough you were looking for. Please make a part2 with Lisa's account of what revelations she came to from this retreat. Romane, you you are an exceptional man for doing the work to break generational cycles. May God bless you and enlarge your territory.

    To the girl who had a question about boyfriend falling asleep.. it’s sounds like a narcolepsy. The girl is not boring, it just the guy is the most comfortable with you and your voice is soothing, and topics are easy and calm (I bet he wouldn’t fall asleep if it was an argument). His brain stops being engaged when you (me in my situation) start talking about smth that you interested in or want to discuss. He doesn’t fall asleep with other people, because topics they have at that moment give him a super brain activity. My ex has it (42yo). He had it since like 14 y.o and at that time in school teachers would just think that he is lazy, though he was the smartest kid in the class. He can fall asleep throughout a day if his brain is not constantly engaged , or while driving long distances. But later, only in his early 30s he finally decided to see a sleep doctor, and they diagnosed him with it. There are many different types of sleeping disorders. Doctors prescribed specific meds,. After long periods meds are not always supportive, and how many a day you can actually take. He would do some break for a 1-2 weeks. He also added caffeine ( pre-workout, caffeine, bc he doesn’t drink coffee) + the supplements to normalize bloodwork. Idk how old is a guy in the question is, but I would suggest him certainly to do a research and tests. Stay safe.

    It’s strange how we think we’re in control of our trauma by using coping mechanisms or keeping our guard up. But often, it’s our trauma that controls us, trapping us in behaviors that once protected us. These defense mechanisms become barriers, making it difficult to grow or connect with others in meaningful ways. Instead of protecting us, they limit our ability to build the healthy relationships we need.

  • @fsaunders9310
    @fsaunders9310 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Wow! I loved this episode, thank you for sharing and being so vulnerable. Vulnerability is a strength, taking accountability is hard, and realizing that being a victim of your trauma is not serving you, putting your ego to the side is a strength like no other. When we know better, we do better, and if we have not had models or anyone to parent us or show us the way it is kind of inevitable that we do this in some way or another. We all have to face our own demons, as hard as it is. For ourselves and those around us. This is incredible, you are even more of a power couple and definitely two individual human beings to look up to. THEIR SCARS ARE NO EXCUSE FOR THE WOUNDS THEY GIVE TO YOU. Like you said we can break the generational cycle. I would love to know more about how to access these retreats or how to navigate finding safe ones especially as a solo female.

    Thank you for being vulnerable and for being honest and owning the person you were being ❤I am thinking of doing this plant medicine, I feel her calling, thank you for sharing. What a Life changing experience you guys had. I’m so pleased that this helped you to see the past resentment and hurt and see you life for what it really was. We hold onto our story, without truly understanding what our parents go through, which doesn’t take away what we experience, but it helps us to understand why our parents acted the way they did. We do not see how the damage caused, affects our relationships, or how our behaviours affect those around us always. I sympathies with your trauma, having had childhood trauma myself, I’ve worked hard on myself, a lot of healing, forgiveness, a lot of soul searching, trying to be the best person I can be, i have had therapy which did not help me, if anything, it made me more distressed, i sought help from a spiritual healer and in 3 sessions i was able to find self love which changed my life and i think spiritual healing is a much more beneficial way of healing than mainstream therapy. It touches your soul. I still have a long way to go at 54! So I am so happy for you both that you did this before your parenting journey began, so that cycles can be broken and your children will have a better upbringing because of the work you have both done on yourself. Well done l, what a beautiful couple you are. Thank you for sharing. You had me in tears at the end. Beautiful ❤What a ride! lol. ❤🌈🐝🩷🌍🦋thank you for brining your siblings together that is so heartwarming. They need you and you need one another.
