Spin on the 2024 Beta Alp 4.0 on a wet day out. Remember I'm no youtuber, this is just a quick raw edit. I had to use an old GoPro Hero2 so sound quality while riding is not the best but you get the idea. Overall its a fun bike

Quick raw test ride of the 2024 Beta Alp 4.0 Sorry if I explain things backwards as I am not great at talking for Videos :D Overall from a small spins, I will say if the Alp 4.0 is this fun on backroads then the new Alp X will be really fun. It is surprisingly quick for a 350 but the suspension needs more time to bed in. I'll get more footage and edit better soon.

2nd Day out on the AJP Spr 310r Just having a bit of fun riding the bike at a H&H event. Motor seems to get better as it loosens up.

2nd Day out on the AJP SPR 310 - Just fun riding the H&H Event. Very surprised how well this bike goes in the tight trees, so much torque it pulls 3rd easy and gets loads of traction.

Hi, love the video, can i ask you a few questions? What's the top speed and how's the acceleration? Is the bike protected under it or the "shield" isn't long enough to cover the exhaust too? Can you ride it like an enduro offroad or will it break? Thank you

The rear fender, is that replacable? I feel that would break off immediately on little heavier off road.
New rear fender coming out next month.
How is engine vibration?
Personally I don't even notice it. However I've been riding 2 stroke MX and enduro bikes for years so everything on the road is super smooth to me.
Hi. Can the bike hold a motorway comfortably enough? Cruising on 120 kmh? I have the alp 200. With a bit more power, it'll be the perfect adventure bike...
Hey. 110 was perfect, when I pushed onto 120+ I was getting bad vibrations due to the wheels not being balanced. However I think with the wheels balanced it should sit at 120 fine. I was also trying not to open it up too much in the clips as it's still new. It will have a lot more go over the Alp 200.
@mxdave thanks a lot. Well done 👍 Are you still have the ajp? I haven't seen any of those. How are the spr compares with the competition? The 510 seams interesting. The maintenance intervals I've seen are 3000 km intervals, this is road bike territory....

Thank you for this analysis. I noticed that the bike is not noisy which is a great quality here in France when you go off-roads. What about comparing it to a 300 Xtrainer which is a little more expensive (about 1200 extra in my country and a two strokes). Did you try that one ? I am hesitating between several different motorcycles and this Alp looks great but probably requires extra-costs to have good protections. Good promenades to all of you.
Yes the Alp is quiet, I am over noisy exhausts now so this helps. I've ridden all the Betas. The xtrainer is a totally different bike, more hardcore trailie/mountain goat compared to the Alp. I did the Isde in Brive in 2017, I would say the xtrainer is a better off-road focussed bike if riding similar legal lanes around that area. However if you want a roadie bike combined with a bit of an off off-road the alp is a good choice.

Grazie per il video. La moto è un aborto. Questa è buona solo su asfalto (forse!, ma anche la vecchia non era buona per l'off a causa del peso troppo spostato all'avantreno). Questa ha la mascherina che fa pena; i comandi non ergonomici; la marmitta vulnerabile in posizione assurda e senza protezione; la targa in posizione ridicola; il radiatore senza protezione; il peso elevato (+ 6 kg della vecchia); il motore cinese. TUTTO QUESTO COOOOSA C'ENTRA CON BETA E CON IL MOTOALPINISMO???

Un paio di modifiche e diventa perfetta anche in fuoristrada: collettore di scarico dritto decat e portatarga classico da enduro in alto (probabilmente te la cavi con 20 euro)
@@racer5440 volevi dire €200? Ma forse non basterebbero. Resta sempre un ibrido che non è né carne né pesce. Beta deve correre ai ripari.
As I said, it really depends on what you want. Half my spins on this will be to a coffee shop and hitting lite trails along the way.
@@racer5440 purtroppo un collettore classico alto mi sembra impossibile, a destra il passaggio nel telaio è ostruito dalla presenza dell' ABS, a sinistra dal manicotto del filtro. L'unica soluzione è proteggere con un paramotore perdendo un po di luce a terra
@@nrd90 abs un’altra cosa da eliminare, alleggerire! Ma basta togliere il padellone con uno collettore dritto anche sempre basso e proteggere quello

😁 tbh the area I am riding is all hills, you don't see the elevation in the clips. I'm not really trying to drive it on that hard either as it's still new. I would try to push it on to 160kmh if the wheels got balanced. However 125 was the most I pushed it to due to that.
looks pretty good for an old as can be go pro.
And the cover lens is scuffed. I kept crashing when I used GoPros racing so I have up buying them 😀
thanks for the video, these are a cool little bike, i keep looking at montesa4t but this is just that bit bigger so a lot more tempting - nice for riding with my mates on their trials bikes, currently i take my 500 exc out with them which is a bit errrm fun hahaha
I do think the 500 is more towards a trails bike than a Alp is to a trails. However if you want a mix use bike and not worried about speed the Alp is a good choice.

Good choice, I say that made it super smooth on the road. Riding the Alp 4.0 makes me think the X is a great town/city bike.
i want to buy this bike but i cannot justify the price... The 2025 ktm 390 adv looks much more future packed with fully adjustable suspension and upside down forks, and it's probably gonna be about the same price maybe a little bit more expensive
390 adv is a too much road bike. 19 inch front disqualifies. Short suspension is also big factor.

He won the GNCC XC2 title for KTM in 2007 on that bike. Tried to make the switch to XC1 in '08 on the KTM 450 with little success. KTM dropped him and he rode XC1 for GasGas in '09, also with little success.

I race enduros and i find its the perfect bike not to snapy and not underpowered Ever body looks at the bike with a weird look saying 200cc motocross bike WHY but you have to ride it to understand.
