Re: @ 18m 30s... I used to tell my pts, learn how your brain works (what I taught in psychoeducation groups) so that you control your brain and it (programming) does not control you.
I guess it's an occupational hazzard (therapist))- lol... When I seen this on your blog my mind immediately went to not criticizing yourself- to be as gentle with yourself as you do with other ppls feelings. You are right, it encompasses every aspect of your life.
Bought the book, now to catch up on my reading.

Thanks for sharing! I learned early on in my marriage, to not nag, because it truly got me no where with the hubby. I usually ask if I need something done immediately that it get taken care of, but usually if I have a planned item....I start dropping hints a good month in advance! So that helps him get motivated to help me, rather than springing something on him. Also, by talking through how I see something with him, rather than AT him, I get his input and usually together come up with an even better idea!!

I love living in a small town. I enjoyed golf for a few years until my health turned but I was never any good. It was a nice way to spend some quality time with hubby when we were both still working. I have always been very much a homebody, so don't really have friendships. I think it is why I enjoy the GOC so much I can have a certain fellowship and help others but still remain in my comfort zone. Harder to venture outside that now with my health issues limiting my activity. Looking forward to hearing more about "Life in the Wick"
