awesome video
Thanks friend!
I think Apollo Brown is one of the best producers today and he revolutionized the rap game with his beats. This project with Planet Eish is heavy, no comments. Salute to the joint
How comes, u have so few followers? Ur Content ist very qualitative and I like that u include ur personal opinion:) Hope u will get the recognition you deserve !
Thank you very much man!
Planet Asia is amazing.
always tuning in :)
With the lights off ?
hahaha i didnt even realize!!
I'm only here because of this
BAHAHA I can't believe I didn't even notice that good looking out
who i am🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾
swimming next?
Defff gotta get that one, prolly his most mature album!
Found it at my local record store back in June. My mom bought it for me a few days later. Shame that this one doesn't get more attention because I think this is the point where El established his sound that we all know and love today. Credit to Len where credit is due, as well. He snapped on Shadows Drown.
really enjoyed the video
Great review 🔥 Been a long while since I listened to this album in full but my memory tells me that this is still Ferg's best imo. Ik Bone Thugs were features on another song on this album but them remixing Hood Pope would've been dope imo. Since I think you can tell he was influenced by their style on that song From memory I'll say my fave songs are Shabba, Work Remix, Hood Pope and Let It Go. Like I said tho, I haven't listened to this in full in a long time so there's probably a song or 2 I'm sleeping on
Thanks for your insights and compliments dude! Funnily enough the bone thugs song is usually the one that pops into my head whenever I think of this album, they def had the best features and that beat was nasty
Been a Hill fan since I was a pre-teen (41 now). This is my fav. album by them. Never heard a sound like this ever again (kinda hear it in maybe "Hell on Earth" by Mobb Deep or other related Muggs stuff from the time period. Temples is hands down best in that dusty beat vibe shit...
Behind Closed Doors goes hard
I got almost every czarface albums I do got this album every hero needs a villain on cd decent album I got to get there first album on cd that came out in 2013 and there instrumental album as well. Props to inspectah deck dj 7l and esoteric I got to get 7l and esoteric albums on cd this is a dope project dope review peace out and take care
Thanks man! That's dope you have so many of their projects, I def need to get some more!
Your vinyl collection is impressive. I just finally copped the stress vinyl recently. Can’t believe you have funcrusher been looking around for that one.
Congratulations. I’ve listened to a lot of hip hop but you have discussed great albums that I missed out on. You must have spent a fortune on vinyl.
i dont know why i got recommended this video, but im glad i clicked it
My friend, "Paullelujah" is one of my favorite hip hop albums of all time. I picked it up at Tower the week it came out because i had heard "It's very Stimulating". All it took was opening up that album insert and tasking myself with trying to find all the palindromes. It was such a smart record in a time with no shortage of intelligent emcees. Great to see someone else who loves it as much as i do.
Grey october 🤯🤯
Manger on mcnichols is the greatest rap album of the decade
Tho there’s very stiff competition don’t get it twisted
That one really grew on me over time the year it was released, def the next Boldy vinyl I have an eye out for
price of tea and real bad boldy in the thumbnail = instant click
fresh of breath air
My new catch phrase
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Congratulations on 1000 subs mate love from Australia 🇦🇺
hi mrbeast
Im mr Beast if he strictly ate dough and cream
damn talk talk 3, noise kandy 3 and p4p in the collection
You got to be trolling that was the worse top list of any number that’s ever existed. The albums you didn’t include were all vastly greater than any on the list (save dilla, wu, DOOM and a few others) b
I didnt include 10000 albums lmao idk what that means. This is a list for actual Hip Hop Heads lmao not pseudo intellectual discount ones who cling to DOOM, DIlla and Wu bc it's the most obvious and basic "oh I care about REAL Hip Hop" picks. You can't actually say why ONE album here doesn't belong, bc you can't debate about something you haven't listened to lmao even if it wasn't a PERSONAL FAVORITE list, which it is. Im guessing you mean the albums in my honorable mentions were greater than the ones on the list? They're more impactful maybe lmao but youre just mad that I didnt make a POINTLESS, copy and pasted list with 1. Illmatic, 2. Ready to Die 3. To Pimp a Butterfly etc etc foh. You're talking like someone who gets their opinions from Pitchfork reviews and doesn't even know why they like what they like
I love your vids keep it coming
Navy and rap are prob my fav rappers rn but idk I’m listening to a lot of shit so it’s hard to narrow it down. Also rip ka
I never heard this underground hip hop group midnight sons i got to check that album out and looked up this group as well thanks for putting me on to midnight sons im definitely streaming on TH-cam check out there catalogs great review peace out
No problem! Thank you for your kind words, I only found them recently myself but have been loving this LP of theirs! Def excited to hear whatever they cook up next!
No bone
The albums that missed the cut is a damn shame. I’m 2:30 in and can’t imagine this guy knows a single thing about rap after seeing them
theres a reason not one other person agrees with you lmao its obvious YOU are the only one who hasn't heard the albums I'm naming here. You haven't even named ONE album I didn't include yet what Eminem didnt make my personal favorites list? Is that it lmao bc I said at the beginning why Illmatic and the like wouldn't be in the list, those arent albums I personally return to as much as these. I bet anything you can't even name ONE classic that you think I missed, that I haven't already reviewed in depth on the page. Theres a reason all the ppl who know what they're talking about fucked with it, bc anyone who actually knows these projects knows every single one I named was amazing, and the only ones who would get mad and use blanket statements like you did, are people who BLATANTLY haven't heard them. Feel free to comment your list of your top 30 favorite albums, this is mine
Bone was almost in the honorable mentions but it was already getting to be way too many, If I had just insisted on having like one record from EVERY worthwhile rapper or group, the honorable mentions wouldve been 150 albums long and it wouldve kinda defeated the purpose of the whole video
Love the company flow respect. Seems like nobody really knows them still. Amazing album
Damn that is a solid list bro, even got heltah skeltah in there
Liquid swords would 100% be in my top 5 favorite
Good stuff ! You have to review goodfellas by show biz and AG , all we got is us by Onyx , Blahzay Blahzay and both group homes . All masterpieces.
Great picks dude!! Literally all of those are on my to get list, In fact I even had Goodfellas ordered and set to review then it didn’t show up 😭 but without a doubt those will all be covered as soon as I get them!
@ yea dude I collect CDs but Gfls, blahzay are $$$ I’m used to paying no more than $12 😆. I imagine on wax it’s expensive. I am sure you buy from Discogs huh?
Awesome collection bro 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is my favorite/what i consider to be best rap album, your review did it justice.
Def one of the best out there, and thank you!
Congrats on the 1000 subs 👏🎉 Really dope list imo, some of these I've never heard of before so I'll take note of them and check them out one day. One album from your honorable mentions list that I personally have really high up is Muddy Waters by Redman. I guess it's obvious considering my pfp is a pic of one of his albums but still
Congrats!! Great channel
thoroughly enjoyed! you're one of my favorite youtube channels rn man, and this is exactly what i was looking for. congrats!
Dope list👏 incredible collection 🔥
I love that Slint album, great!
I’m thinking of starting a series for non Hip Hop albums, bc there’s a million LPs like Spiderland that def deserve a breakdown!
@@FromThe36thChamber It would be great!
This album is a classic. The beats are so nice and Everlast just delivers.
I bought Black Sunday when I was about 11-12 years old - I had no idea who they were, I just liked the cover art. I was hooked on the first track. Funny track for a 12 year old to bump. It was around this time that I was able to order a bunch of CDs from one of those catalogs.. I got like 10 CDs and amongst them were Cypress Hill 1991, Temples of Boom (which went on to be my favorite), Method Man Tial, Redman Dare Iz..., Big's Ready to Die, Onyx All We got.., Mobb Deep Infamous and I think Silverchair Frogstomp (again, I liked the cover lol). I had a White Zombie CD in there too...
Hard to Earn is their Magnum Opus to me. Its an absolute masterpiece of production and you're so right, Guru's pen is underrated. The rhymes on this one are more clever than conscious but they're still dope. I love the last verse of 'Code of the Streets' which starts like this: "Nine times out of ten, I win with the skills I be wielding Got the tenth one kneeling, let me express my feelings" My 3 favorite tracks: 'Now You're Mine', 'Speak Ya Clout' and the aforementioned 'Code of the Streets'
Dope review, this was a good one. I also have Moment of Truth as my fave from them but some days Hard To Earn gets my no. 1. But usually its my no. 2. Def in my top 10 from 1994 hip hop A interesting tidbit about Code of the Streets is that Premier has said that Guru actually made most of the beat. Premier said that he just enhanced it with his drums and scratching but that everything else was Guru. I'm paraphrasing but that's what he basically said on the So Wassup episode about this song. Anyway, this was a nice set of 90s albums, looking forward to the next set
