How did you attach to the house?
It's attached to the roof trussing behind the fascia board.
Thank you sir for this video.
Thanks for this. I’m clueless and trying to get my sons new to him bike up to snuff
Like your video. Great work. What size of 12V fuse did you use? thanks.
it was a 5 amp fuse. Hope that helps
Did you seal the gaps between the siding and the posts?
Yes I used foam gap filler on both sides
How to do seal up against the vinyl siding where you started your room
@@jamiegray4569 spray foam
Can you please build us one
Looks awesome!!! I’m building the same structure for my patio. What did you do for flashing on the roof where the house and the structure meet and if you have any pictures or videos would be greatly appreciated!
I put flashing under the edge of the steel roof and overlapped it with the roof of the porch. However in hindsight I'd suggest putting a proper shingled roof on, drip edge and caulk the seam
I have a 12 gallon tank and it is such a pain because of the tube like curves on the top stop sediment from escaping. I may try what you did and use the hose on it. Thanks for the tip.
Hope it works out for you!
Very nice
Looks Dope, great job
Hi! Husband and I are looking to do something similar, do you remember what this might have costed you when you did this?
It cost us $3,500 Canadian
How much does something like that cost?
It cost us $3,500 canadian
Im curious how well that vinyl flooring and 2-way tape held out. Still good?
Still Good!
Very nice! Great work! And thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you very much!
Nice💪🏽
Awesome, recommend siding to complete the look
Good call!
Would love to know how you installed and framed the screens
Good point! We made the wood frames.then wrapped the screen and stapled it to the frames. Put the frames in the window opening from the inside and screwed in place. Thsi allows us to remove and replace the screen if required
Great piece. Helped me a lot with my brakes. Only took about 15 minutes start to finish including some extra cleaning of parts I did that wasn't technically necessary.
Right on! Glad to hear it.
15 minutes my ass
Put SLIDESHOW in the description... disappointed to see its just snapshots and not BUILDING like the description says!
Sorry you wasted your time and the video of our project wasn't helpful to you.
great video!
Looks great! How did you install the posts? I want to do this in my backyard
I used 8" x 8" rebar post holders. Drilled them into the deck and blocked and support underneath. www.google.com/url?q=griffbuildingsupplies.com/products/post-saddles-with-rebar%3Fvariant%3D44177035526463%26currency%3DCAD%26Dproduct_sync%26Dgoogle%26Dsag_organic%26Dsag_organic%26srsltid%3DAfmBOopLLIPZUVljcHtElG7TY9Rzo3VzHjWw41PCGCP1qrnRzVUJKxyQrc0&opi=95576897&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwidk52C6ryFAxU8lIkEHcmqD3sQsDwIoAQ&usg=AOvVaw37vcEis3Ur-55LW8wcyfqr
Will this fit 90 ds suski?
Any ideas on what to do when the cam is so seized that I cant get it to turn even a smidge w/ a long wrench, or even hammer it out?
You could try soaking it overnight in varsol or another solvent then spray down with WD-40 or Liquid Wrench then give it another try,
Are those 6x6 against the house and at the beginning of the video? I am about to try to mimic this design for my porch in a week or so.
Yes 6" x 6" There only there for the sides to attach to. They don't have any roof weight on them.
I think, I would of used , Dawn dish detergent and flush it with water several times and let dry or use the Stihl blower to force remaining water out. I wouldn't spend $8.00 on sea foam. It would Probably leave a oily residue. But, I liked the video! 👍 Thanks
Thank you for all the information on this project.
Got a 2003 polaris sportsman 90 checked compression and im not getting anything on the gauge is that normal, to not get anything zero, zip, nada! Looks like the engine over heated bad the plastic cover on the head was melted!
That is weird. Is your compression tester working? Test it on another engine to see the results.
@insanitycarnival27 tester was working...removed top end and the piston was severely damaged..the rings were welded shut in the groves and piston pretty badly scored. I'm getting ready to replace it thanks alot for this video! Wish me luck...I hope this is the only issue!
@@lgvmobile Good Luck! Hopefully it goes smoothly! Check that the crank moves freely once yo have the piston out of the cylinder head.
@insanitycarnival27 Success its getting 70lb of compression, and it starts with a wet gasoline rag. Because the carburetor is not working, I cleaned it three times already not getting fuel! Ordered a new carburetor! Hopefully, that gets it running to where the kids can use it during their Christmas break!
@@lgvmobile great job!!!
wow, that is so cozy and beautiful!! love it!
Great video. The music was a bit too loud but the information was great. Thanks
I agree with you. Still learning. Thanks for the feedback
WOULD BE HELPFUL IF YOU DIDNT PUT CAN OF CARB CLEANER IN FRONT OF CAMERA
I'm a total amateur
Beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration.
Awesome. Looks very similar to our cottage. Curious to know what the dimensions of the the screened in part is. Also, if you needed a permit? Not judging...just curious. We want to do the same thing. Thanks. Also, what part of Canada are you in?
The porch is 12' x 12 approximately. I always recommend getting a permit!
Beautiful work
Is there a difference in the top and bottom ring?
No there the same size
Thank you carnt wait to try it
Do u have picture from the top ? Of the roof see how it looks 😊
Sorry no I dont.
nice work nice view
Use Ice instead of anything metal as a scraper. Depending on the tank, may not be able to get every metal item out. As for drying the tank from water washing (if you use soap & water), just let it sit open overnight in an indoor location after draining all the water you can. Yes isopropyl alcohol works well to get water out & it will speed up drying of any water left.
Very helpful thank you
Your hands are too high for me to see what you're doing. Fast forward is ackward. All together you get a 6 on 10 ,!!!!
You're right thank you
Once I'm done washing I use a few ounces of 95% ethanol (grain alcohol) to rinse it. It is relatively non-toxic so you can dump it anywhere it will evaporate. Then I tilt the can up at 45° with the cap opening down to dry. The ethanol only leaves a few drops that can easily be mopped up through the cap opening. Another option instead of Seafoam is to use fresh gasoline to flush out the sediment. I dump the gas with sediment through a coffee filter in a funnel back into a separate clean can. No waste, no toxic disposal. When you fill the can put in some Isoheet in case you missed a few drops of water.
Is a permit required to attach it to the house?
I always recommend that you get a permit.
I would prefer all three sides open to get more light in.
Wow nice job, looks great. I have been told that a similar build is too heavy for my deck? My deck is only 3 feet off the ground, is NOT attached to the house, Free Floating on cement pads. Do you have some idea of what kind of weight you have there? Are your main beams away from the house sitting on ? or Just over your ledger boards? In one picture it looks like you cut into the deck? another shows what looks to be post cleats? Then the two posts next to the house? Are they sitting on the ground or deck? I see you braced them to the house. Last question how well did this build go through winter? I am in central Ontario and worry with the kind of snow storms and this year Thunderstorms if I would need to over kill the build? Thank you for sharing, This project has been on my mind since we retired here and that was just pre co-vid, so you are aware of issues we have been dealing with as to getting things done. Enjoy your place and stay well.
I figure it's about 1,000 lbs because the roofing is light weight. My deck is affixed to the house with pillar supports back and front. The 2 main beams are in post cleats that sit directly above the posts underneath with additional blocking for support. The 2 posts next to house are sitting on the deck. They are only for the walls and do not carry any of the weight load. I threw in an L bracket to keep them square while building it - they have since been removed. It made it through the winter with no issues, movement, etc.. still level plumb and square. Adding in extra support can hurt IMO. Better to have too much than too little.
@@insanitycarnival27 Thank you again so much and what a lovely job you did. Can't wait to see what i end up with. lol Can only hope it turns out as nice as yours. Enjoy and relax, you earned it.
@@insanitycarnival27 Thank you again, this is very helpful and its's great you have had no issues. I currently have a canvas type gazebo and it's getting old and wearing. Think I will finish out this year with it and then see what the lumber stores are asking? for material. but thanks again hope you get to really enjoy it
