Clipping Point - James `The Machine' Deane - 2021
The feature length documentary film released in 2021 finds its home on TH-cam.
The production team and myself would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this film possible. That means you guys that paid to watch this film, it allowed us to recoup some of the expense that goes into making projects like this. Without that possibility, projects like this would never be made. So thank you once again for supporting this film.
Champion drifter James Deane is set to make history in the US championship Formula Drift, attempting to win the championship three times in a row. Derailed by unsuspected obstacles, perspectives shift as he fights to stay on the track.

If you like the film, please go and let us know what you think on IMDB. We were incredibly grateful to learn that people loved the film upon its release. If there's room in the future to look at doing more projects, that's how we know you the audience liked what you saw. It means we can take that information to production companies, develop funding opportunities and hopefully make more films like this.

Josh Allen - Works to date 2019 - Showreel
มุมมอง 2234 ปีที่แล้ว
This is collection of my most recent finest work to date. A collection of things I've directed, written and a handful of projects i've shot for other people. I filmed everything you see here. Edited when i've had spare time. This is just an opportunity to demonstrate some of the things i've been fortunate enough to create. It also features an exclusive first look at my first feature length docu...

The Salt Flats - Eleven Ninety Eight (Official Trailer)
มุมมอง 2496 ปีที่แล้ว
Released to the world on the 3rd November right here, the independent documentary made by filmmaker Josh Allen. The first of his on the topic of motorcycles. The story follows Max Hazan and Gerald 'Gerry' Harrison as they embark on their first pilgrimage to the automotive destination that is Bonneville Speedway outside Salt Lake City Utah.
and this year, he back as a fd world champions
Never knew formula drift had so many favoritism in it
"I have 16 years of memory right here in my head". Obviously not, dude.
This should be on Netflix
Sorry I had to giggle at the “his bmw that he built in his backyard”
Why's that funny?
@@Al_Keatinge Because the car itself was built by HGK in Latvia. The Deanes only fitted the engine/transmission themselves. Then a year or two later moved some components around in the car.
Watching this in 2024 with 1 round left in FD AND Drift Masters is pumping me up sooo much!!
auto play blessed me wit this one
being irish and someone whos dad was a mechanic knew james dad watching this not only makes me proud of being irish but made me cry at times seeing his dad being so proud my dads no longer here would love to have shown him this great doc really good
Glad to do the Irish proud. It was very high on my priorities making this film. Thanks for watching. James’s dad is one of a kind, such a pleasure to spend time with him.

35:23 ah yes, because the border that let's Europeans in for specialized work is the border they should be guarding. Typical
Hollywood must hire James Deane as a stunt driver.
They actually did, James and I did an interview talking about it. I might think about putting it out. Very interesting stuff.
Absolutely amazing video. Iv also been on the drifting scene since day 1 and remember those days well. Thanks so much for making this video, brought back so many great memories. I will.share this far and wide!! Well done to all involved in putting this together
Yea the US wants their tax $$$$
I'm genuinely surprised this doesn't have a million views.
@@mobdarnell it’s not been out long 😅 but much appreciated! 🙏
I first liked drifting because I saw this guy on the TH-cam platform who suddenly appeared on my homepage and forced me to watch and from there I idolized a figure called James the Deane machine🇮🇪
Brilliant movie about a great story. Thank you. Tis even even more of an awful shame that he ended up being a getaway driver for the feckin Jacksons
If everyone who watched subbed, then this guy might get some funds to make part 2.
JD130🔥🔥👏👏amazing doco 👏👏👏👏
@@SWATA27 🙏 thanks for checking it out. Very much appreciated.
What an outstanding piece of work. I hadn't thought about the unceremonious Worthouse ejecto seat for years and this has freshly piqued my interest. Especially with Darren's input...

Just came across this! Such a great watch!
@@Hi.chance much appreciated 😎
@@joshallendirector I’ve been watching James Deane compete since the Prodrift days, was nice to hear the back story.
Great show well done
This is great man. Really excellent work.
The fact James is now leading the championship mid way through 2024, there are levels to this and James is easily on top. It's simple, he's the GOAT
Such a boss documentary ! One of the best by far. Would be unreal to get this kind of quality doco following some more of the top drivers from around the world , Daigo Saito , Luke Fink , Naoki Nakamura , Fredric Aasbo , Gaz Whiter etc Such good work Josh hope to see more absolute gold in future
That would be the dream. Luke is a good friend and has a fantastic family. I’d love to get to know Daigo Saito’s story as well, always loved his style and his cars are from a different planet. Getting these things off the ground takes a different level of commitment though. Never say never but this film took 3 years to make and only for the fact that BC Racing came in and helped out with some expenses (when we were already half way through) this film would have never been finished. Netflix et al., would never back something like this unfortunately. It would have to be a private individual backing the project or some kind of crowd funding. I wanted to crowd fund this but no one was interested. I took it to multiple production companies and producers during the filming process and nothing came of any of it. In mainstream media world, no one gives a shit about drifting unless it’s a game show or there was some kind of overly dramatic tragedy that would make it a more widespread story. Like if James turned out to be the owner of the mafia to fund his drifting, he gets gunned down before making it to the last event of the season and he never fulfils his destiny. Now you’ve got a story they’d be interested in 😂
James D's movie? nahh, this is 💯 fire!
@@RAFFMEDIA_ 🙌
Can someone explain what that backstory was with Daren and homeland security and getting back to comp in the US? I have watched this doc a hand full and can’t grasp what this was about.
@@SaleenDrift To work in the US, don’t quote me on this, non US citizens need a relevant visa. Darren wasn’t necessarily working for the team as far as I know, certainly not in any full time capacity but homeland security thought otherwise and because he was spotting for James on the event in question, they deemed this as working. From memory he had corresponding texts on his phone, that was good enough for them to turn him down. He just didn’t have the right visa as far as they were concerned basically. Darren obviously competed in years prior and he would have had the correct visa once upon a time. It was all a bit last minute. He wasn’t trying to get away with anything as far as I understand. Make sense?
Nads!!!! I miss that dude. Hope he is well.
Not all heroes wear capes 🙌 🇮🇪
Bloody good film
1:33:32 an he has made that happen with his new giveaway turn key drift car 💯 . Hats off to you sir. 🩵
By far best motorsport docco I've ever watched, even pips road to le man's that porsche did. Cinematography, edit and storyline was all perfect. Killer vid that does justice for what a true legend of drifting Mr 130 is 💪
My favorite James Moment of 2024 is the win in Long Beach, the way he just fell in pure bliss, the raw emotion and the rain making the moment perfect, it was amazing 🤌
DAMNNNN i've wanted so muchh to see this back when FD was showing the trailer!
Is that Peden Nielsen doing the narration?
@@Welderman12 the one and only
@joshallendirector knew it! He done a great job 👏 🙌

🙏 thank you
Epic video! Maybe an episode 2: The Shanahans'?
They’re great lads!
This is outstanding, well done! This man is potentially one of Ireland's most successful sportspeople and is never mentioned as such. Like a lot of you in the comments are saying I too wouldn't be a drift fan of it wasn't for James Deane. He used to share the drift streams on FB and after watching them I was hooked.
James Deane and Michael Dunlop is a conversation I'd love to drop an ear on
Just dropped by to say I bought this on Vimeo a few years ago and it was worth every penny. Thanks for sharing with the world though, it's a must watch.
bro dropped THE documentary and its going unappreciated
@@ozhansharifi889 it’s all good! We just put it out on TH-cam. Plenty of love. The whole team is grateful to everyone for checking it out. You appreciate it and that’s what matters.
This has got to be the best motorsport documentary of the year.
@@mitchdv85 🙏
It 3 years old 😂 Still really good tho
James Deane is the new generation DK!!
Weird listening to the main commentator saying he doesn’t want James to win And then his commentary being really one sided against Deane in the 2019 battle with Wang James super humble amazing driver deserves everything he’s accomplished
Josh we need continuation maybe at end of 2024 when he get 4th fd championship as he is on right track to do so.
@@jankesbmw You got a petition going! I’m down.
The James Shanahan like was absolutely classic
Unreal
This was fantastic what a roll model for young difters wanting to start there own path to be a worldwide name and legend in the world of drifting
yes fd japan when
James Deane the greatest drifter ever of all times
If you're a fan of James or just drifting itself, this is great stuff, watched the whole thing at work :D
