@@psychomom -- Did I hang around at the Rat? Ha, I performed at the Rat! As bass player for the Hilton James Band, in or around May 1980. I also went to shows and performed many times at Cantone's in the financial district (probably my favorite music venue back then), the Space, the Club, Mr. C.'s Palace and lots of other places. I also played with Joe "The Count" Viglione in a band that became Love and Flame. @@RossAlbertConcerts Wow! Love it! Yes, Cantones was awesome. I also loved the Underground and the Channel. So much great music and such a great scene. I met my husband at the Rat.

Maybe you didn't know both Keith Emerson and Greg Lake are dead. Like the Monty Python parrot. You don't have to do anything. Thousands and thousands of ELP fans, like myself, applaud Carl Palmer's efforts to keep the music alive and vital. The internet is full of negative nay-sayers like you. Sheesh! Again, you don't have to do anything. You can stay home and live off of the masoleum of your pristine memories. For me, I love live music. I've been to around 2,000 concerts in total. Currently I'm going to an average of 2 to 3 a week. I missed seeing ELP live in their heyday. I was young and couldn't afford to go to many concerts. (Though I did get to see Freddie Mercury & Queen at their live peak, as well as Led Zeppelin, plus several other classic rock acts.) You stay home and wallow, while I and others savor Carl Palmer's efforts to keep the music and memory of ELP alive. I wonder which of us is happier. Really, man, who needs your negativity. As I said, sheesh!

@@RossAlbertConcerts you are entitled to your opinion, and I do respect it; and I am entitled to my opinion. I saw ELP twice here in Argentina, when they came in the 90s, and they were brilliant. And I am not a nay-sayer at all. I am saying simply that I don't like this. I love music, I've seen as much concerts I could, the artists that came to Argentina (in fact, I went to see Carl Palmer the last time he came here, in 2017, and with Asia in 2007 as well). If there are several fans that are happy with this, good for them, go for it, enjoy it!! I am a HUGE ELP fan, I DO know that sadly Keith and Greg are not longer with us, but as I said, I don't like this show. And yes, I prefer my "mausoleum" and enjoy the true real thing I had the pleasure and the delight to see live, the three of them. We are free to decide what we like. As simple as that. Good for Carl Palmer that he keeps doing it - in case you didn't notice, I started writing I appreciate CP's efforts to keep ELP's Legacy alive - but I wouldn't see this show. Is it that bad?? Am I a nay-sayer, negative, because I don't like something?? Negative and nay-sayers were the idiots who trolled a genius like Keith Emerson, knowing he was in terrible pain and depression. That was cruel and horrendous. And I would NEVER do that with Carl Palmer; I only say I don't like it. And I am not a negative nay-sayer because of it. On the contrary, good for him; but it is not FOR ME. I love ELP dearly, but I am not obliged to like what CP is doing. And btw, I am happy listening to ELP music and watching their videos at home (I particulary enjoy their older stuff, mostly, because I discovered them as a teenager in the late 70s), or my "mausoleum", if you like. And I enjoy every minute. Just my thoughts.
