A. You cant expect her to be amazing right away coming off of the seven month college season where she played every game, then going straight into the WNBA season and playing every single game, she was tried. B. A lot of the turnovers were because she was throwing it to where her teammates from Iowa would have been better abuse they knew she could get them the ball anywhere on the court as long as they were there. She was use to a team that knew her and the way she plays inside anyplace out, and the Fever didn’t yet, (they still don’t fully, but they’re closer), in my opinion a lot of her turnovers were at least partly her teammates fault. C. The pressure put on her to be perfect was unfair and the other players blatantly bullied her on the court and the refs ignored it. She took so many harsh, uncalled fouls every game because other players are jealous that she hadn’t even played a pro game yet and she was still more popular than them. She did dominate the league, especially in the rookie category, how many rookies do you see starting almost every game and being there team’s star player? 1, Caitlin Clark. And she deserves that award more than anyone. ❤

You ignore them completely because the nba paid about 30 million to market her and reese in college and now CC in wnba to help build the league up. They did this bc they hate losing 15m every year subsidizing this garbage league. 34% isn't great shooting. 21% from logo isn't great shooting. It's poor decision making. 42% isn't great shooting from 2. That's 4% higher than angel reese who yall swear is the worst shooter in the history of basketball. So if that is so bad, why is your god CC only 4% higher... no one has addressed these facts. No one has addressed the fact CC is a 0+/- while reese was a +16. These facts make it very close. Whether or not CC is picked or not doesn't change anything. CC should be the roty. Reese has an argument for the spot too. I'm just tired of the montages of bad shooting by reese while ignoring the 40+ airballs CC has had this year. CC misses 70% of the time from 3.... most of those with no one around her bc of illegal moving screens. Just be honest about the situation. "Padding stats" is a moronic statement and shows a lack of respect for the actual conversation.

Let me educate you, and if you don't believe me, go watch professional coaches and former players say the same thing. Turnovers for a point guard is 100% mental decisions error. If you pass to a person who routinely drops your passes, stop passing them the ball there. Find a way to make them better. Don't expect them to fit your pass, you pass to their strength. 1x it's on the other player, 2nd maybe , 3rd time and beyond is poor decision making. A point guard must know their personnel and assist them into becoming great. C, EVERY rookie gets bullied, especially if the media hype is "this God is coming into the league move out of the way" every sport will punish that rookie UNLESS that rookie denounced the media hype and acts humble, which she did not. She embraced it and largely supported the hype. She also came in talking trash about the front office complaining about flights... which will make the wnba lose about 40m bc increased eyes don't compensate for the more than double the total salary of the players pent on flights. D. She didn't dominate the league, she dominated the rookies. That's it. But not really there either. As I've pointed out MANY times, reese only shoots 4% lower in 2pt than her... and her 3p% is 34, which is really low for a high talent pure shooter. If she had numbers like college. +50% from 2, 45% from 3, the turnovers wouldn't matter. As they didn't in college. But her subpar numbers make the turnovers much more impactful. The media hype was grossly unfair. She would have had to play like prime Jordan in her rookie year to live up to the hype.... my issue isn't the media, we can ignore that, but fans ignore everything negative about her game and refuse to say anything but what the media has programmed them to say. Clark is outstanding... but she has alot to improve upon. Much like steph curry, she will become the great she has worked hard to become, but she isn't perfect or close to it. And the actual numbers are far closer for ROTY than the comment sections and sports media want it to be. There is no such thing as deserve in sports. There is no agenda in sports no matter how much the media hypes it that way. The facts are the facts. Both top players have a decent resume and weaknesses. When you compare them in relation to basketball metrics, which had the better impact on the game on the court..... much of the clark stuff is off court hype. People trash reese for being jealous, however all she has ever said was give her some credit for the boost in interest. The 2 players shared a cover, and ever article had both names in it for 2 years of college. Now everyone wants that single figure.... they know people need a villain and a hero. They are making cc the hero, the innocent girl being bullied by the beasts like reese.. many people make this about black and white or straight vs gay... its none of that. It's 100% about the media and cc refusing to tamp it down. She brought most of it on herself with her choices, some of it was genuine hatred for the person bc she was a rookie being held higher than the women who felt they had proven themselves for years.... they literally told them to shut up and get out of her way, she is your meal ticket let her do whatever she wants..... place yourself in that conversation, you wouldn't play patty cake with her either.

Even in college she was 5.8 turnover per game.... 1500 is the current career turnover record, currently cc has 164 turnovers. In year 6 she will average 1200 if she keeps this pace up, which matches her college pace. That is only 300 from career turnover 1st place..... how is that not an issue? Are you so programmed to worship her that you cannot criticize the MASSIVE issues in her game???? I bet you just aren't aware of the numbers and how they affect her position... your ignorance is excused
