Cheeki ,how do I run a program that's in steam , its a game creator software , cause in bottles I log in steam then nothing happens ,lutris works for my games but the Game creator software installs then on Microsoft software it seems to get stuck

for people wondering why that compatibility option doesn't appear in the settings is probably because some apps can't be handled by your computer or smth like that, just a guess since my computer can't handle sfm apparently leading to the "invalid platform" pop up. just a guess idk if its true but hopefully this clarifies some things as I said I don't know, I'm just guessing.

Weird, disabling this option, which is called "Use graphics acceleration when available" nowadays, just made the lag/stutering even worse, eveytime i hit a loading zone on a game the video freezes... i have no idea how to fix this... (RTX 4080 Super / i9 14900KF)

This is related to motherboard vendors lowering IA AC loadline with newer bioses. They lower AC loadline to lower the power consumption, improving scores, but the stability goes to shit. You just have to correct the AC loadline yourself. On my gigabyte I had to set it to 0.600 mohm. BIOS would default it at 0.400 which was too low. The chips are fine, mb vendors are shitting the bed with these tweaks.

Intel is pushing their architecture too hard to 'win' benchmarks. That's really all it is. Now, people are forced to fiddle around with BIOS settings to fix the inevitable instability. AMD was more strategic, and came up with an ingenious way to improve performance without shoving tons of voltage down the CPU's throat. And whatever problems they had, they took the blame and did something about it. Intel on the other hand is like: "IT AIN'T ME!! But thanks for the cash, muhahahaha!"

7700K was a refresh of a 6700K, which was not a big improvement over a 4690K. I had a 6600K myself and I can't understand why you would call the 7700K a GOAT. There was such a small improvement over a 6600K that it wasn't worth to upgrade at all. A 6600K could overclock easily to 4.4 and 4.6 was achievable with a decent cooler.

Thanks! i just upgraded my second monitor to a larger one and didnt understand why I couldnt watch a twitch stream on one monitor while watching youtube on the other without both videos refusing to play without having to pause one. It worked fine on my old dual monitor setup so i figured it should be better with a new, larger monitor with the same refresh rate and hurtz. I appreciate the help.

No, sorry but you don't just give up using a processor like this because it has "stability problems". Apparently you've not tried disabling motherboard features or undervolting manually. Asus MOBOs have that "AI Overclock" that can easily cause issues if you don't pay attention.

I also have the 7950x3D, I don't use the scheduler that comes with the drivers. I found it easier just to do every thing with process lasso. to be honest you really don't even need to mess around with choosing what programs you want the cores to use unless you're playing games and only want them to use the 3D VCash.

Your running 55c at idle and your AIO isn’t mounted right (tubes on bottom when vertically mounted, not on top) and should be on top of the case anyway. Heat rises, remember? So you overheated the chip since buying it, CPU dies and it’s someone else’s fault? Not saying Intel doesn’t have its issues (Been using AMD 20 years) but your PC building basics aren’t there.

i sorted mine, the motherboard was making it pull way too much power. tweaked the settings now i'm sipping 70 watts in game and 190 watts in multi threaded bench.

my first pc had an i5-2500k (w/ gtx750ti 2gb), then i built my own with i5-6600k (w/ gtx970 4gb) then upgraded to the goated i7-7700k (w/ gtx 1080 8gb) (i like the number 7 if you can tell) then built another PC with i7-9700k (later w/ RTX2080Ti 11gb)(after someone scammed me without shipping the i9-9900k) then built with my current i9-10900kf (later w/ RTX4090). After recommending many 13700k to friends and seeing they are having plenty of issues with stability and seeing that amd has honestly taken the lead nowadays. i will soon be switching to amd 7800x3d with x670e board which will accommodate the next 2 generations zen 5 and 6 at least. unless 15th gen is on another level with huge efficiency, cause currently 7800x3d pulls 80 watts and beats i9 that pull 325w
