Im literally flying jetstar from Townsville to Sydney in sunday 17 of November😂

Jetstar screws students in New Zealand. At the end of every Semester they triple or quadruple the flights to Auckland for returning Students and ever other poor b***** who flys that date. I had a ticket Dunedin to Auckland during those dates, I bought 14kg hand luggage but my bag split, the replacement bag was slightly over dimensions required for hand luggage so I asked to check it. ‘No they said, it’s not transferable’ every budged airline the world (even Ryan Air) wants to limit the amount of Cabin Luggage. They made me pay NZ$180 excess luggage to Auckland! I could fly to the US with an extra 20kg suitcase from Auckland for NZ$200! Gouging thieves !

I was 1kg over on my carry on luggage and was charged $75 from Syd - Melb. Another example of the Qantas group price gouging and the ACCC should look into this to justify this charge. The whole ticket was $99 lol😂. I have written a complaint and will never fly with the Qantas group again!

We 2 adults are flying in April 2025 with 2 children and 1 infant from sydney to Japan on jetstar with 2 hrs layover in Brisbane. is it enough time to go from brisbane domestic airport to international and finish check in with checked bag considering check in closes 1 hr before take off at international airport so technically we only have 1 hr or less to take checked bags from domestic airport and checkin at international airport. What do you suggest ?

How can you pay on plane? I mean can you pay with visadebit/mastercard debit?

I fly to Phuket reasonably often from Melbourne. I flew jetstar a couple of times as it is a direct flight and paid extra for exit seats where there is a decent leg room. Their normal seats are far too cramped as i am tallish with long legs. Last time i booked i could not find exit seats, so i flew Singapore Airlines, and after that experience, i will not be returning to Jetstar, even though i pay more on SIA and have to transfer in Singapore. The planes are just nicer, with decent electronic entertainment. The service is excellent, and the food is way better, plus there are no extra charges such as seat selection, luggage, and the exit seat. I will be going back to PKT on SIA in 3 weeks and did not bother to look at Jetstar.

Needed to look up AU capital? I remember catching an Impulse 717 on Easter Day from HBA to MEL. 2001. Apparently was its third flight. I was the third passenger and last on board. Always loved the DC9 and this was a worthy successor.

By Jetstar 's regulation, Can I bring drinks and food from outside into the plane?

Do they offer the entertainment package on board? Or whats the go?

Took the similar route to hobart. An funnily enough, a very similar A330 of Qantas was parked at the exact same gate, heading to Perth and had a gorgeous sunrise behind it. Great video!

Those new a321N seats are horrendous.

From a purely practical perspective, where the B717 catches you out is the carry-on luggage limitation. You can get off a B737 with your carry-ons only to find they can't get onto a B717 cabin - they have to be checked in. The A220 doesn't have this problem.

Although you need to buy entertainment, do they at least have the flight map available?

I've only flown one time (arguably 2 but it was for the same holiday so I count it as one) - we used Jetstar and the only problem was the 4 hour delay on the way there. We also flew out of Melbourne, but I don't remember any of the information about it or even really what it looked like (sadly).
