Try a Tubescreamer, like an Ibanez TS9 or a TS808. Tubescreamers are commonly used by certain metal bands (usually thrash, speed, death, groove, power and NWOBHM, where the songs are faster and chuggier do a tighter sound is required) to tighten up their amps. For instance, the Reign In Blood guitar tone by Slayer utilised a TS808 in front of a Marshall JCM800, TS808 being the tubescreamer of choice to tighten up the sound.

Great video idea! I use the Archetype Abasi but in this case I think the Archetype Petrucci sounds better. It might also help to bring the volume levels of each amp closer, it seems like the Petrucci is louder.

Great video! It was very detailed and you are clearly knowledgeable on music production and playing guitar, so your analisys are great, I really appreciate it! If I may suggest, I would add some moments of images to give something more visually, either with the cover of the album or when explaining very specific sounds pulling a song to hear it with a videoclip, and I'd add some pannels in between sections to structure out the video a bit. The sound quality is fantastic and the camera angle works for me, and with a bit more of structure I think it would make it flow a bit better! You clearly know what you're talking about and you do have a nice voice, so just some suggestions to kick it up a notch, great stuff! <3

It would be a lot tighter if you put the level at 100%. Start with low drive. The orange sounds better with the shape knob around 1 o’clock. The SD-1 is my favorite. Nice video.

Just got a demo gloss tiger burst V. Fantastic guitar but the set up was not great. Needed to swap the strings out, lower the action and raise the pickups. A tiny selection of neck had some less then perfect binding, but nothing you would notice without looking closely. Great guitar at a great price, especially used. Their version of the fishmans are awesome. Anyone reading this please note, you want to set fishmans as close to the strings as possible or they can sound tinny.

The Red Epiphone with the Gold humbuckers is such a nice guitar. Super jelly of your trem system on the Les Paul!

I like the artwork on the Cathedral Stereo Reverb by Electro-harmonics. I think it's discontinued but its a pretty nice pedal with nice artwork. That's my opinion though.
