However, the ones that were seemed safe to me as there were many kids and adults having fun and I am not aware of any issues. Nice review,added information is good…I just booked for our annual family vacation to this resort this morning Feb 8,2024, for April…coming back to Mexico after a long absence, Punta Cana is my favourites, sure has changed from the reviews I watched. Hope to have fun in the sun. 👍

Thank you for watching and for the feedback. The season will definitely determine the beach conditions, although they were working to install a barrier to prevent the seaweed from reaching the beach. There were also cleanup crews working diligently until this barrier was completed. As for the water, I was pleased. When we visited, you could choose Diamond Club with or without a butler and this is the reason for the cost difference. @@permanentnomads743 we didn’t book Diamond so I will mention at the desk. Btw, we have been to Royalton Varadero about 4 times and if you go to Cuba I recommend it.

Your status will get you access to Diamond Club amenities such as Diamond Club Pool, Lounge, etc. We are hoping to make it there. 2024 will have us in the Maldives, Fiji, Singapore, and Thailand. Maybe 2025 we will get there.

Thank you for watching. They have some "top shelf" but not the best of the best. To get the higher quality, specifically ask for that brand or they will make the drink with the cheapest. This has been true for us at many all-inclusive resorts and cruises. I hope this helps some. Thank you again for watching. During our time at this resort, there was not a designated disco or night club. Not sure if this has changed since. There were frequent shows outside by the pool that had lots of dancing and other events during the evenings, but they didn't stay open too late. Thanks again and happy vacationing.

If we were going during the busiest time of year and wanted to ensure some set dinner times, then I would do it simply for the reservation aspect. @@permanentnomads743I think it’s worth it for its convenience, private beach area where u don’t need to reserve a lounger ,private area pool too, ease of getting a table in all the restaurants. For a couple, I would upgrade for $980 US extra for a week. I just booked the Royalton Splash today for our annual family vacation for April 2024 n can only afford to upgrade to Ocean view,can’t upgrade to the Diamond for 9 people. Hope to have fun in the sun with my 4 grandchildren n that’s the highlight of my annual vacation , just to see them having fun n laughing…😂😂😂

Thank you for watching. We personally like Royalton Riviera (Hideaway) better at that time. The food was better quality (even though many of the restaurants were the same), there were a lot more activities for adults, more pool options, and we did have the option to escape from the kids if it got overwhelming. Splash was still brand new at the time, so they may have improved in some areas, but the resort layout was much more geared to kids and way less options for pools leaving it feel very crowded. This hotel is beautiful we stayed in hideaway two weeks staff and mangers in hideaway were fab any concerns there there to listen and put any concerns right very helpful and will do anything to make your holiday the best we have been Mexico many times but this hotel beats the lot we are planning to return restaurant very good beach fab couldn’t fault this hotel well organised 🇲🇽

I want to make sure I am understanding correctly, did you mean between Royalton Riviera Splash and Royalton Riviera (which is next door), as there is only one Splash in this area? If this is what you meant, we much preferred Royalton Riviera. While we didn't travel with kids, I did show the kids area in my review video. Our reasons for preferring Royalton Riviera was the food, the service, and the activities. I also believe the small children splash area would be more geared towards younger children (my personal opinion). With that said, Royalton Splash should be fully operational and out of their "new status" and functioning well. Summary - we will be going back to Royalton Riviera again. Keep in mind, you can also get a day pass at the other resort. You can just walk down the beach, purchase the day pass and enjoy both. Unfortunately, I do not recall how much the day pass is.
