Hometown Heroes: Raise a Little Health is a full evening of hockey-related festivities and action to celebrate our community’s iconic hockey heritage, culminating in an exciting charity hockey game at the Maitland Rec Centre in Goderich. The game features NHL and other professional level hockey players, as well as local minor hockey players and Members of Parliament. Huron and Bruce counties have a rich hockey history with many players who have gone on to play at hockey’s highest levels. Local present and former NHL players will be invited to play . We are so pleased to have current hometown NHL’er Ryan O'Reilly (Colorado Avalanche) and former NHL'er and Stanley Cup winner Boyd Devereaux playing in the game this year.
