I used to hit cars on purpose sometimes to make sure they won't surprise me. This was a very good tactic especially in round 3 which was of course the hardest.

Still tough than today's racing games

I remember playing this game as a kid and being so dumb that I only used the first gear. Somehow I completed all the tracks in Type A. Years later and with first to second gear it's no easier.
