How to build a ROHAN themed GAMING BOARD: Middle Earth TERRAIN
มุมมอง 14K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I'll show you how i crafted my gaming boards made for Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game. I will probably do more builds themed around Middle Earth, if you would to see those as well tell me in the comments. Feel free to ask me anything about the build! You can See here the list of materials I use: -Wooden Boards (60cm x 60cm) -Insulation Foam (2 to 3 cm thick) -PVA Glue (a lot) -W...
What paints did you use on the wargs?
I would love to see you build a Mirkwood battle board! This was really, really, very cool! I think I'll have to subscribe!
Where did you get the blueprints for the tomb?
yo this video is fire! can I use DAS instead of greenstuff? or maybe cork?
Great video! Thanks!
Hi, do u have any insta?
Thank you for making this, I plan on following the blueprints 😁
Incredible. Can’t wait to make!
Great tutorial, results look excellent
Awesome bro
nice , great job👍
Amazing !
Really nice build. Saved the video for reference.
I want to try a board similar to this. Thank you!
Brilliant man!
Hope this guy comes back, would love to see some more goblin conversions
Absolutely amazing, and the first video I've found where you're using simple things that I have and not a crazy amount of products that you might find in a professional shop, but not a home shop like myself :)
Thank you very, very much! Yes, that was the intent: only use simple, affordable materials. Love hearing it was a helpful project to show
What type of plaster do you use? Drywall plaster?
hello, what did you use for the first layer of dirt ? Is a natural dirt or bought one ? thanks for the video ;)
Natural dried dirt, just cook some in the oven!
@@tabletoplandscapes7842 Ok nice, the results its very cool ! But when you say dirt, it's a real dirt that we can find in the garden or in the field or more like Rocky dust/dirt like on the road in the nature?
@@mai-hoaseptierderigny1628 I literally took it from my yard! Normal dirt, nothing special
@@tabletoplandscapes7842 ok ^^ 👌🏿
This looks great, thanks for making this!
Gran bel video
Thanks a lot for the tutorial and your blueprints! Twenty years ago I started the hobby with a magazine that included some Moria Goblins, a brush and some colors. An I just started again with the very same miniatures to see, what I can do with those old miniatures now.
Beautiful
Hello, nice video, what durt/gravel did you use at 8:10 ? Thanks for response
Great tutorial, perfect for my first BGiME game!👌
great video. beautiful cat.
How long did this take from start to finish?
Hi there! Awesome job my dude. I’m looking to do something special for the basing of my Khazad Dum army and stumbled upon this video (apparently there aren’t any tutorials for this sort of thing on TH-cam!). You’ve given me a few ideas to play around with so just wanted to say thanks.
Damn bro this is actually so insanely well done and so simple. I’m really bad at terrain making and would rather buy, but this makes me want to follow along and try!! Bravo!
Hello, what is the name of the material you use?
It's insulation foam, polystyrene
It look really good. Maybe next time something from easterlings? ^^
Very nice video ! Very nice work ! Well done !!!
What is the meaning of life?
I don't know, but do you know what is best in life? A, To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their woman.
stay positive
This looks incredible! Fantastic job!
Thx! Really appreciate :)
You need more clicks !!
Thank you! Very kind of you :) Not expecting to be popular soon or at all really ahah but new videos will surely come (they just take a looot of time :P)
You Italian right? Where do you find that insulation board in Italy? I cannot find anything decent :(
Puoi provare a chiedere in ferramenta, o dove sono riforniti di materiale edile. In alternativa posti come il Brico o simili. Ti consiglio di chiedere che molto spesso sono in grado di ordinare ciò che non hanno al momento sotto mano. Spero possa servire :)
@@tabletoplandscapes7842 grazie mille!!!
Saw it on Reddit, now appeared in my at timeline. So you got a new subscriber :D
Appreciate! Also it's good to know that reddit posts are worth it 👍
Going to try this build! Haven't worked with plaster before so hopefully things turn out ok.
Great video! Very informative and easy to watch :)
miniature bases...
This was such an awesome video!! First i've seen, but i imediately subscribed after. Super instructive, in english (which obviously helps a lot to reach out to more viewers) and with an outstanding result! I've been watching and learning from almost all modelling youtube channels i can find for a couple years and this video popped up on my Suggestions. I'm really grateful it did. Really looking forward to discovering your channel! ⚒️👌
Thank you very much! It's just a hobby since I was already doing these terrain builds for myself, but I'm slowly enjoying more the video making aspect :) The reason I'm doing it in English, even if it's not my native language, is to reach out more people, as you said. You can expect a new video every month (more or less), it's not a schedule, just a realistic time frame that works woth my busy student life ahah Little spoiler : the new project should be a "mini" series on reacreating 1:1 the buildings from the pc game Battle For Middle Earth, a game made in 2004 or so, and get those on the tabletop. Just waiting for new tools to male it possible.
@@tabletoplandscapes7842 and LOTR dioramas... There's no way that can ever go wrong, it's the perfect universe for creative building, i'd say. As long as you enjoy making the videos, i really hope you keep posting them!
Nice video. Looking forward to more
Came here from reddit, this looks incredible!
Thanks! Nice to see that Reddit posts are working ahah
Haha! Mind if I use those pillar templates mate?
@@jakew3282 You can download them and use them whenever you like! Just mention me if you do a project like this or so, also let me now how they come out! :)
Great Job!!! Love the build looking forward to more projects from you, keep up the great work.
Nice conversion, gives me some inspiration to try making a few of these for my Moria army.
hello, the material that you occupy is polystyrene?
It's an insulation board made of extruded polystyrene
Good job! Can’t wait to see the next project!👍
Do you find that using plaster rocks they seem to chip easily and show the white of the plaster under the paint? I have found this an issue for me
It may happen in some places but there are ways to prevent it that àI didn't mention in the video and If I had to do again this project I would definitely apply. You can color the plaster powder black using pigments so that when it chips it doesn't show a white mark, or you can spray a varnish on top of the board, it can be effective. But remember that if it gets damaged you can easely add a bit of foliage or grass on top of it to cover the chip, I did it a few times and works for me. Hope it's helpful.
Really great work and very informative. You should do a video on your balin’s tomb terrain from the beginning of the video, it looked awesome
Thanks! I'll definitely consider doing a tutorial on it or maybe on Moria terrain in general so that you con build any scenario with this aesthetics
Nice job mate! Simple and clean
