U need to subtract the probability of getting the card both being the spade and is a 7 number. In that case ghere is only one 7 of spades card in a deck. That's how it gave 1/52.
its the intersection of both prob, so its one card thats a spade of seven in the deck

I followed all the step, the values are the same but when I rund 1-var stats the information is different for example n=11 when the data is 12
why is is .975 instead of .95
because each side equals the remaining .5 so you gotta divide that by 2

I don't expect an answer 4 years later, but currently on non express Minitab I have a spot for confidence level... At default its set at 95, is that the same as what express did automatically? My assignment doesn't specify a confidence level so I was planning to leave it at 95.

mam are you sure that S is standard error, cause I just got my analysys but the S value is exactly the same as Pooled Stdev, so I am confused which number should I publish and if I am actually using my standard error and not just the standard dev

when i follow this step by step, it returns ".16667 must be an integer" which I am confused about - because probabilities can't be integers? it does not return any of the 1varstats. any suggestions? thanks!
