So very sad, it is true death comes for us all someday what matters most in the end is did we live a life worth remembering did we live our lives honorably did we do as much as we could for our familys friends and loved ones who must continue on without us in the time that was given

I was blessed to go with my father on the Texas trip commercial shrimping. 2 weeks on the open water, he loved his craft. Passed away at 52. When I see this show, memories flood back of my father. Love you and miss you very much.

He was my favorite!

My dad was a huge fan of the Deadliest catch as well. He knew Phil from the Telly. He died last year. But i remember him crying when Phil died. He was a big fan of this show, and Phil was an amazing guy. Remembering watching this show, with Phil still alive at the wheel, and my dad next to me on the couch......man, happy times. Btw, we also loved to watch the Ludolfs. 4 brothers working and living on a junkyard. Just relaxing nonsense. To get your mind on something different. And so was this show. Except for when Phil died. And the other people who died on this show. They also brought tears. Somehow you feel connected to people you do not even know, doing stuff you would not dare do yourself, to catch stuff you do not even like the taste of, to earn money. And then you have these celebrity singers who sing: its not about the money money money. Yeah, i'll buy that for a dollar.

Hell even i cried and ive never met him he was 1 of those guys who came into my home through a tv and was met like a brother

I started watching Deadliest Catch long ago, I think it was in 2009. I loved the show and Phil was my favorite Captain. I watched all the other FV Captains react and it really hurt me too. Soar high, Phil, you are sorely missed!

God, 13years.......it feels like yesterday. The poor man under so much stress to provide for his family in this dangerous job. No sleep, chain smoking, horrific back pain. He was a train engine going hell bent for leather till it broke. God Bless him and God Bless the Cornelia Marie.

My dad is going through the same at this moment. He’s still with us but is only getting worse by the day. Idk what I’m going to do without my worlds strongest man. I’m still super young, 34yrs old. I’m still learning and still need his guidance. All his daily phones calls and texts have already stopped. The feeling in my gut is like nothing I’ve ever felt.

This still tears me up every time. Miss you Captain Phil Harris. One of the greatest Captains on the sea.

Me and my father run a business and I work with him everyday. This is my reoccurring nightmare. Every week i will have this nightmare. My grandfather died on the jobsite with my father. and I just want to make enough for him not to go the same way. Time is the biggest thief and god bless
