How To Organize Your Footage As A Filmmaker
Ive traveled a lot this past couple of years while shooting primarily video and through that journey Ive made some mistakes that I think you can learn from me. This video will be broken down into 3 different parts.
1. Pre production and Milanote
2. Hard Drives
3 File/ Media Management. - This is going to be huge if you are are a content creator, film-maker and have been filling up on storage throughout the years. Hard drives space can get pretty pricey but if you learn how to consolidate your footage, trim the unused footage and delete it safely to make catologs, You will have your work more organized, save money and also are able to make stuff a lot quicker. On February 25, 2023 my friends Mike, Santiago and I went and visited Alabama Hills to shoot what we though was going to be a little bit of snow and ended up being back to back blizzards getting us stuck for a couple of days. I've been creating vids on TH-cam about photography & filmmaking over the past 3,5 years, but I feel like I want to talk more about life and make some kind of cinematic vlogs. It feels scary to make such a change tbh, especially after finally being monetised through photography & filmmaking content.

I love it man! There have been so many times during these adventures when I've turned to my friends and said, "I can't do this, man. I can't do this." If it weren't for my best friend, Devin, looking me straight in the eyes, grasping my shoulders, and saying, "Yes, you can," I would never have reached the mountain peaks, explored the streets of Thailand on mopeds, or overcome many other challenges.
