Twice a week is fine but I recommend the oil, it worked better for me
Can I use another oil? Like pumpkseed oil because this is lightweight
Honestly I haven’t tried that but you can give it a shot

What you are doing should be done at every wash day minus the hair mayonnaise that can be just be once in a month I do this with my deep conditioner at every wash day

For your edges something that can help you with 1. Jamaican black castor oil 2. Chapter 2000 3. Virgin hair relaxer Any of them would help
