Making stained glass on a junk journal page.
มุมมอง 612 ปีที่แล้ว
Part 1 of showing how I make a junk journal page look like stained glass. You'll need 2 X die cut image. Acetate which was printed on a ink jet printer (or other means of having transparency). Glue. And the book pages you wish to put the stained glass on (these should be cut together with the same die cut as the one you are making into the stained glass panel). The book pages should be cut at t...

I made this book several years ago. It is very personal, with poems and prose by me. All of the "pages" are covered in marbled papers or paste papers made by me. I created the bead and chain curtain, figuring out how to make it for a crooked window and make it hang straight as well as be pleasing to the eye. The pages are put together with doll house hinges and the spine is a metal mesh to give...

Papermaking results.
มุมมอง 423 ปีที่แล้ว
I show the paper I made in the last video along with some other ones created recently. * When I said the water level was not very low, I meant to say it WAS low. To make a good sheet of paper with the dip method the water level should be high enough to let the paper pulp flow freely over the deckle and mold. In my case I didn't have much pulp left in the water, and there was only about a 2 inch...
Making paper - a brief lesson
มุมมอง 733 ปีที่แล้ว
We had a crafting live day in the JJ with Joy group, where several people gave demonstrations of crafts related to journaling or junk journaling. My friend Connie had trouble getting into the chat room last night, so, I thought she would miss my presentation of paper making, today. As it happens, she did get to see a bit of the presentation, but, I didn't know that until after I made this video...
Basket weave pocket.
มุมมอง 1563 ปีที่แล้ว
I made this video in answer to a question from a viewer of my regular spot "Technique Tuesday" featured in JJ with Joy Facebook group. I showed how to make several pockets that looked like baskets in conjunction with an event there and I made this pocket after that video. So, when I showed what was currently on my desk at the beginning of the Technique Tuesday this pocket caught the attention o...

You should applause every time you finish! I will now, too!!
I love this! I usually make origami boxes with heavy scrapbook papers or wrapping papers. I'm liking this box for the heavier gifts, and that meandering lotus fold book you made. I'm so glad I found your channel! How is it that you don't have more viewers and subscribers??
OMG!! I thought I was done with making an art journal, but now I need to make one of these for little sketches or paintings! How did you make the perfect box? I'll find it on your channel? I'm definitely subscribing!! Thank you!
Excuse me, what did you say you purchased at Staples? Paper? What brand? Thank you for your video!
love your lap book
you ruined it with the black and red mess. it was pretty the way it was. what is wrong with you abstract artists. you create something that looks good and muck it with ugly colors.
Thank you for your comment. I can see where you might like the print before I "ruined it", but the reason I applied the black and red was to purposefully make the print look old and grungy. If you watch other videos of other prints, you will find that some are much more bright and pristine than this one. I do appreciate your feedback and I realize that everyone is not going to respond to each of my prints the same.
This one was much easier - but I think either butterfly is stunning for a book page. Thanks for these videos.
You are so welcome!
Nice to see you back again. Have you tried using alcohol ink on your acetate? They always seem to be more vibrant to me. Love that butterfly - I have some geometric dies that would make a wonder "stained glass" insert. I may have to try it. Thanks for sharing. 👍❤️
Thank you, and you're welcome. I have tried alcohol inks. Will probably use them next.
Pretty! Love butterflies.
Me too! Thank you.
Just beautiful I live creating things like these even fussy cutting is relaxing me 💜💞🌸you are such an amazing artistic talented inspiration 👩🎨
Thank you so much. I love to inspire others to see what amazing things they can do.
Hi Elizabeth new subby nice to meet you I’m Cheryl from Florida. I’m currently in the hospital and only allowed another 10 minutes left with my devise . So I may have to come back by. I’ll save to my fav !! So beautiful 💜💞🌸
Thank you. Tell all your friends about my channel. Just kidding, but, I am glad you found my channel and liked what I did.
amazing, Elizabeth. I don't think I'd have the patience for something so intricate, but I might try this with something a little simpler. I love it!
Watch the next video. It is part 2 and a much easier version. I should have done it first.
Missed your videos. Love the butterfly.
More to come! Stay tuned for more to come, on TH-cam and JJwithJoy.
Love these!
Beautiful !
This is very cool!! This can't be one sheet of paper, can it?? Did you attach pieces together?? If so, how did you do that??? Your things never fail to inspire!!!!
Fabulous! 🥰
What an incredible creation!!!! Wow!!! Thanks for sharing.
Your book is amazing!
That is a gorgeous and impressive book!
I just Subbed! What Creative Talent you have!!! I'm still not thru watching this one, and I am in complete AWE! I now am anxious to apply some of what I learned here to some paper bag journals that I started couple years ago when I was in to my third year or more ( that long already???!) Learning how to make and decorate " JJs" It all started when I was looking for DIY cool ways to make my own sketch journal!! I've come a long way, and Still learning!! Using what I can find either free, cheap or low cost...😄 One of these days I have to teach myself to make videos, using my Fire Tablet..if I can..🤔 Take Care and see you again I'm sure! 🙋🌹- Mindi

Love your work Elizabeth. 😁😍
What a great little journal! Great ideas again! What do you mean about washed paper, painted, washed again, painted some more?!! Really pretty!
LOVE these cute paper bag journals! You have the best ideas 💡 ❤️
Lovely as always. You might think about showing how to make home made paper. There are several You Tube channels that will give you a shout out if you get in touch with them.
They all came out TERRIFIC...especially LOVE the Yellow/Orange one! WONDERFUL!
These are lovely 👍 - it just shows how the different the decoration of the pages make a journal look. I liked the "Lost in Paradise" paper 🥰 the best, but that is personal preference. Great Job.👏
Loved it. Thanks for sharing hun.
Awesomeness
Awesome...thanks so much!
Amazing! Really reveals your layers!
Very unique!!

I am in awe! Elizabeth, this phenomenal! Absolutely fabulous!
Wow. What a great way to combine your former interest with your current ones. Love the combination of all of the different types of papers
LOVELY...GORGEOUS Handmade Papers! My Father worked with computers at IBM and used to bring those cards home. We used them to draw on as a kid...wish I still had them :)
@@PrincessLoftCreations How sweet of you...but that's ok...just brought back memories!
How cute is that I love it..✂️✂️✂️
Cute and unusual journal, Elizabeth. I love it. The leather cover is awesome and what clever use for the old computer cards.
Those cards are cool
Wow, what a lovely journal. I didn't know you had so much lace and embellishments in your stash. They all coordinate together with you beautiful gel prints. Just wonderful. Love it. 🥰
Absolutely beautiful. Your gel prints are beautiful. How do you make the coffee filters so flat and beautiful? They look like material online. The colors are just amazing! How do you tie-dye paper? Subscribed
GORGEOUS! Fun to watch it in the making!
Love, love, love this one. You do such amazing work. Each one I see you make gets better and better. I love watching you create. And I love that you stepped outside your comfort zone on this one. The beads fringe is amazing. I also love the ruffle and the flower for the closure. Also all the bright vivid colors really speak to me. Amazing journal hun. 💜💙
So gorgeous Elizabeth. Love it all, especially those fantastic dangles & your amazing gelli prints. :)
Very beautiful. Always an inspiration Elizabeth.
