@bluecollar8729 lol I bet
Nice video's. My Belarus 420 did not have a seal in the top of the column either. There is a "collar" in the bottom of the power steering hydraulic head unit that has o-rings on the inside (against the power steering shaft) and on the outside. This collar is below the top bearing. These o-rings are what should keep the hydraulic fluid up in the head unit. There is also a similar collar with o-rings at the bottom of the column that you're putting your seal into. The one on the bottom has one o-ring on the outside and two on the inside. The bottom collar is below a bearing on the bottom as well and it should only have to keep a little gear oil in the column and bearing that the power steering shaft goes through.

where does the hose that comes of the rear of tank, go to
@vickyberta3372 The one coming out the bottom end of the tank (near the seat), I'm assuming, is a vent line, and it runs down in the frame rail to the ground.
does that T off pipe go to the fuel gauge? as you though as im not sure where mine came off when removing tank and carbs cheers
@decmcdonnell1895 I'm not gonna lie. I'm not completely sure what ur meaning.
@decmcdonnell1895 Okay, apologies, it's been a while, so I had to look back and re acquaint myself. But that T where two hoses connect to one is the hose I sent to the bottom of the tank. The other two hoses go to the fuel shut off.
@@bluecollar8729 yest its the T where two hoses that connect to one hose . thank u so much i thought it went to the bottom off the tank to the gauge as when i removed tank i then seen it and could not find anywhere else it could go lol again thank u for your help and response much appreciated
@decmcdonnell1895 no worries, I'm glad to help and take it easy.

@migealmarroquin304 what a legend 👏
What was the orginal problem with the steering, it wouldnt work at all?
There was a huge power steering leak on the peace I was tearing down. Although the steering still worked with fluid and the tractor running, I will say if u can't start the tractor, there will be no steering at all. So pull starting would be hard to do.
I totally have the same fuel pump as yours, it died on me and was leaking diesel into the oil so I am here just checking what oil I'll be needing xD
Did I even say what oil I used? 😅 I can't even remember.
It sounds like your accelerator pump needs moved to a different hole and air mixture screws need adjusted
Oh yeah well be getting into that carb here soon. Not sure what the the previous ppl did bit we will find out.
Hey Ive been there!
Yup u need to come help work on my shit lol
I love it brother keep it up
Thanks man. You too need some content hate lookin at my own videos lol.
It's great to see another video from you man
I’m completely struggling with the one part you cut out of the install. Can’t figure out how to get it back in.
So u have the carb outside the bike. With the two throttle cables, fuel lines, and the choke cable hooked up? Just remember, u will have to rout the choke cable (only) through the "driver side" of the bike. So it should be the last thing ull hook up before throwing the carb on the bike.
The carb will only go on with the rubber boots lined up. There is an arrow that lines up the rubber boot to the head. So if u took them off and flipped them around, they will not go on. If u match the number from the head to the boot they should line up as well.
Once u got all of that in place and are trying to install the carb. Ull have to slide it in at an angle. I'm pretty sure I went from front to back. It takes some doing to get it lined up for sure. But it should press into place and be good to go. U can use some lubricant as well to help it go in.
Perhaps it is interesting, i'm using google translate. All export tractors from the USSR called Belarus. 200 & 300 series are export versions of T25 and T30 series produced at tractor factories in Vladimir(ВМТЗ), Lipetsk(ЛТЗ) and Kharkiv(ХТЗ). 400 series are export versions of the T40 produced at the tractor plant in Lipetsk(ЛТЗ). 500 series are export versions of the МTЗ-50 series produced at the tractor plant in Minsk(МТЗ). 7000 series are export versions of artillery tractors к700 series, produced by the Kirov Plant in Leningrad (now this is St. Petersburg).

Thank you for your quick respond I will go over the fuel lines when I have more time . Thank you again.
Than you for your posting. Just purchased the same tractor just like yours from the nabor who passed away 4 years ago it's been seating for about 4-5 years has 435 hrs on it so far i can't started with out starting fluid and soon 😊is I stop spraying in it's stops immediately . I pumped the fluid up and comes everywhere besides the 4 injections I'm not even sure about the dash switches and I can't find anything on TH-cam. I wonder if you can post a video about the total start up ? Thank you!
I heard there is a fuel shit off. But as of right now I'm not to sure how the fuel system works ill see if I can make a short for u sometime. Maybe it will help.
I put a short video out for you. I @ you as well.
This is inspirational! You did so many things wrong, and it still worked out. I think ur gonna want a bigger chimney pipe but the rest of it should be OK!! Good job!
Thanks lol. And yeah deffinatly need a bigger exhaust pipe. Not exactly the greatest airflow with the smaller one.

Thanks for your video. It has helped me figure out my 420A belarus. Also do you know how to service the clutch.
Honest to God I dont have the slightest clue. Apologies
Ya I tried understanding the manual how to go about setting the clutch up but it's not really detailed on step by step. All I know is it's a dry clutch and there's a grease fitting on the side that needs grease. I have a 420A 4x4 and a 400a for part's. If you're ever in need for part's let me know I may have the part you're looking for. Thanks for your reply.
Well your ahead of me i don't even have a manual lol. But thanks alot if I can find some info I'll be sure to let u know
When I would start the 400, I would press the battery switch and open the hand throttle a bit then just turn the key. To shut it down, close the throttle and press the release button on the battery switch. I don't remember if closing the throttle was enough but turning off the power certainly was. Since there was no fuel gauge, I would use a rod of some sort to check the level in the tank. If it ran out it had to be primed. There is a priming pump to the left of the oil dipstick. You have to turn out this threaded knob and pull it out, like an inch or two until it stopped and that was your pump. Pump it until the fuel came out of a discharge tube (I don't remember where) then press in the knob and turn it tight.
I realize that you already know this.
I drove a 400 on our farm in the early 1980s. Ours had a loader, too. The loader hydraulics were operated with the three levers. The lever next to the steering column was the hand throttle. The battery switch was below the instrument panel on your left side.
Thanks ill have too see im mine is the same soon!
I'll try to remember more if I can.
Thank you. Very much appreciated.
Трактор ЛТЗ Т40 продавался под брендом БЕЛАРУСЬ
Unfortunately I cannot read that. Sorry
He said it was a LTZ brand model T 40. I bought mine brand new in 1993(still have) dealer was in Maryland. Seems like air cooled were made in Russia, water cooled were made in both Ukraine and the really large articulated tractors were from the country of Belarus. All were labeled BELARUS. Dealer was a huge farmer and did use them on their farm. Wish they were still available 😞
The floor pedal by parking brake lever is diff lock !!!

I gotta do the brakes and bearings on both axles of my 64 w200. I ordered from rock auto as well. My first time doing drums…edit: while I’m in there, I also ordered regular lug nut studs for the entire passenger side because this stupid truck has reverse threads on that side…
I hope it goes well for you. When I did this one here the drumb brakes one the passenger side where mangled pretty bad.
@@bluecollar8729 yeah mine too! the passenger side front was really really bad, rear not much better. The w200 is gonna be my farm truck and once I get it road worthy, I got a pretty nice 67 w100 I wanna restore to showroom floor appearance. I wonder if the passenger side being in worse shape is a common thing and if so is it because of those stupid reverse thread lug nuts…
I'm not to sure i just wish these old rigs where better taken care of. Alot are pretty messed up and the new vehicles look bad these days. But in any case I hope your projects go well. Take its easy.
