I’m wondering if I can get IS300 aftermarket front diff bushings and replace the 86 ones. Avoiding having to shave the bolt and you get aftermarket poly or aluminum bushings. 🤔

Sounds perfection, how many mufflers and what brand mufflers? I have China stainless high mount manifold Garrett GT3076. 3 inch turbo back with vibrant resonator, and straight through vibrant muffler just wondering if I should add another muffler to get more classic 1JZ sound
Honestly this exhaust was made using scrap 3” stainless, had a random resonator in the middle and generic straight through muffler near the rear, also had a screamer pipe

How do you like the frs diff with your setup? What transmission?
The diff is amazing 👌🏼 such a good powerband with the T56 and the diff itself drives and responds super nice under all conditions unlike a clutch LSD or welded diff

We can and probably will build the bottom end eventually and make more through whatever transmission we want, at the moment it is stock bottom end and cams with minor mods to hold more boost. Car is running a T56 box.
@@anomalous_media What cams/boost? I've got a Garrett gen 2 3076r .83, little baby tune 450hp @ 22 psi 385 with 0 ignition because r154. Trying to figure out what to expect when I do cams (size depending) and turn up the boost/ignition now that I've got a tr6060
@@asrb20 Still stock cams, the build was setup for response and midrange power for drifting. Made 553 @ 29psi, still has the smallest rear housing option for the turbo.

So the IS300 Axel has a different bolt pattern to the JZX stub Axels?
The turbo JZX stub axles are much larger than the is300 and NA JZX ones
@@anomalous_media ahh I see. So basically if you have IS300 stub Axels you need IS300 Axels, and if you get JZX stubs you have to use the matching JZX Axels? But both JZX and IS300 works with the 86 diff?

Do you have the part number for the is300 stubs? If not, any idea of what year and model to look for? I currently have a JZX100 NA so I need to get the is300 stubs in order to keep my current axles.
Pretty sure any IS300 stubs will work, sucks the NA stubs don’t fit 🥴
Hi, I really like your build! I also have a IS200 1JZ GTE VVTI swapped. ATM it has drift spec (2 ways kaaz diff, no camber rear, huge camber front, wide angle, lower at the back) but I hat driving it on the road, I would like a good balance for street and drift like you did! Can I please ask your camber specs and everything? Thanks!

@@anomalous_media ok awesome I’ve heard it’s a popular conversion to do along with swapping tr6060, Cd009 or using the factory w58 and r154 options. Out of all these options do you believe the t56 is the best choice for a decently powerful street bulid as I’ve seen some people complain about certain gears being more shorter or longer to throw to properly engage into gear as well as it being a little sloppy when in gear. Just curious on your opinion and thoughts from the options that are available to suit the IS chassis. Sorry for the essay 😂😅 Any advice is appreciated 🤘
I have a CD009 behind my 2J and it’s good for super short gears and holding power but has its own issues with noise and making it fit. W58 will blow up at around 350hp or less depending how you drive. R154 is good for 600ish but is 5speed and reportedly feels like a truck gearbox (don’t have much experience with it) T56 is cheap and everywhere with a few gearing options available, heaps of adapter options and holds power super well. Definitely my favourite pick 👌🏼
Just make sure you have a good ratio diff for the t56 and you’ll be set, I have a 4.1 from a gt86/BRZ and it’s perfect 👌🏼

Love the build 🤘 what was the rough budget on the engine swap? I’m thinking of doing the same thing (2JZ) into an R33
Really depends what power you are chasing and on engine prices nowadays, I paid $4k Aud for a complete engine and spent about 20 on the rest of the build including expensive items like ECU, new harness, 1000hp drivetrain, freshened up the engine etc.

Correct, or turbo JZX shafts and stubs. I have a single piece shaft so I’m not able to confirm if that would need any sort of modifying

Yeah mate, at the time it was stock bottom end. Had a nitto head gasket, head studs, drop in kelford cams. I'm surprised it never destroyed an oil pump to be honest 😅

So if I got it right, non-turbo JZX100 stubs are the same as IS300 stubs ? I found the gt86 diff, I have the 300 axles, I just need to find the stubs now and even when cross checking the parts compatibility through toyodiy I have troubles finding actual compatible parts (they list the 7.5 inch SXE10 stubs as the same as the 8" stub from the JCE10/IS300), and there are a loooot of cars listed when you look through that cross reference (aristo, crown, soarer, supra, chaser, etc). I wish I could buy all of them and reference all the sizes so there would no longer be misleading ahah, for example the toyota parts catalogue says stubs from 1997 and later model JZA80 fits, but earlier models JZA80 don't (1997+ has the 10mm bolts but earlier ones have 12mm bolts). It's all so complicated lmao
Yes very true troublesome finding compatibility. Non turbo jzx stubs won’t work ❌ - Small splines with smaller pcd flange to suit is300 shafts and non turbo jzx shafts. Is300 stubs do work ✅ - large splines with smaller pcd flange to suit non turbo jzx and is300 shafts TURBO jzx stubs (AND SHAFTS) do work ✅ - large splines and larger flange to suit turbo jzx shafts Supra/soarer/aristo stubs don’t work ❌ - different style flange and longer splines
