Logical Qubit Roadmap (28 and Counting) — with Atom Computing | Ep. 93
You could summarize 2024 in two quantum computing topics: the release of the NIST PQC standards and the arrival of logical qubits. We dig into the latter in this episode. Atom Computing recently performed computation on 28 logical qubits with the help of Microsoft’s qubit virtualization. The future roadmap is optimistic and exciting for those looking for quantum advantage from hardware. Join host Konstantinos Karagiannis as he discusses how we get to fault-tolerant systems with Kristen Pudenz from Atom Computing. Her experience at Lockheed Martin has also led to a unique view of developing practical quantum applications.

Simulating 128 Qubits (Yes, Really) - with Quantum Rings | Ep. 92
มุมมอง 20814 วันที่ผ่านมา
If you’re a longtime listener, you probably have heard that we can’t simulate more than 50 qubits on a classical computer. Representing each qubit doubles the required system resources, and state vector simulation hits a wall even on supercomputers. But what if there was a different way to break this barrier, even on a laptop? Is the threat to cryptography on an accelerated timeline because of ...
Quantum Networking and Interconnect in Production- with Aliro | Ep. 91

To modify a Feynman quote, we can safely say that no one understands quantum … networking. The definition does mean different things to different folks. Sometimes, the best way to solidify a concept is to bring it to the real world. It turns out there is a way to experiment with quantum networking, and you wouldn’t believe how it’s already being used to interconnect different quantum computing ...

Quantum Error Correction on a Single Qubit- with Nord Quantique | Ep. 81

Error correction typically involves a lot of physical qubits and using them to create one logical qubit. The Quantum Many-Body Problem - with Benedikt Fauseweh of TU Dortmund University | Ep. 80

When Richard Feynman proposed the idea of a quantum simulator or computer in 1981, he was frustrated by the limitations of classical systems. He logically suggested that if we live in a quantum world, we need a quantum device to simulate all the interactions of particles that make up reality. An excellent example of such a transistor-choking calculation is the quantum many-body problem. Have qu...

PQC & QKD is where we need to the most invested in right now. 100's of billions are out there to be made and its next to impossible to get a penny on encryption. I have something incredible and not a single VC understands how important that we lock everything down. RETARDED. Just the Govt contract is in the billions and that doesn't include defense or space.

At 26:40 Bill is saying he hasn’t seen any quantum hardware companies building anything that costumers can use and that they are not developing software. IonQ is doing all those things and has contracts With the likes of the United States Air Force, Boeing, Morgan Stanley , Airbus, And you just did an interview with a physicist who works for a networking company that IonQ just bought. I’m wondering why you didn’t point that out to Bill?

Is quantum computing really that powerful? I am fond of math. I enjoyed even just recreational mathematics. I have solved the super multiplicative magic square up to 11x 11. For example An 8 x 8 super multiplicative square is super because inside the 8x8 there are the smaller 6x6 and 4x4 multiplicative square inside also. It"s very tedious doing it manually. I need computer programming and quantum computing is best suited for it. I just don"t know how.

This is interesting, thanks for posting. However, it is slightly misleading. The problem you have solved is a simple portfolio optimization problem which can be comfortably solved using classical solvers. You don't require a quantum annealer to solve non-convex cardinality constraint problems.
