Flat wound strings aren't an indication that the owner is a beginner. They are the obvious choice for the Höfner. A real novice would just try to use the nasty strings provided by the factory. At the very least this owner knew enough to purchase a set of strings that are compatible with the instrument and La Bella is a very highly regarded brand.

I had my 1961 American vintage ii stratocaster setup at a music shop, and my low E and G are still buzzing. Did the tech miss something?

I have one in natural. Love mine. Plays like a dream. Got it used from Reverb. Swapped the SD pups for a Gibson P90 in the bridge and a Mini HB in the neck. Won't sell it until I'm no longer able to play.

The microfiber cloths absolutely positively do not scratch guitars or any other painted surfaces. Have literally used thousands of them and they are the absolute go to cloth for removing scratches and fine imperfections. Clearly what caused this guys paint scratches was his careless disregard to cover the body of the guitar while sending huge amounts of particulate matter from the fret polishing all over the paint. Next time, take 10 seconds to properly protect the paint, and stop blaming your senseless neglect on the best polishing cloths that are presently available on the market today. T-shirts don't polish a darn thing, they just smear paint and accomplish absolutely nothing!

Wished i lived close. I have a CV 60s id like to be painted with white where the sunburst partially shows after it wears using nitro lol. Why? Idk. And then put a gold pickguard anodized. Lol. Like 00001 of Dgilmours.
